Chapter 390 Aren't you afraid he'll run off with your money?

The older sister thought the people in the car wanted her to move aside, so she moved to the side of the road.

Then the people behind honked their horns again.

The older sister glanced back and realized it wasn't a car she recognized, so she continued walking towards the cafeteria.

Inside the car, Hou Juanjuan looked at Zhang Shao and Sun Chao. "So? I didn't lie to you, did I?"

Zhang Shao glanced at Hou Juanjuan. "Call her over."

"Okay." Hou Juanjuan stuck her head out of the car window and called out to her sister twice.

The older sister frowned, stopped, and turned to look at Hou Juanjuan: "Is something wrong?"

"Okay. Jie Jie, let me introduce you to a few friends."

The older sister raised an eyebrow. "Okay."

After getting out of the car, Hou Juanjuan was about to introduce Zhang Shao to both parties when she looked at her sister and said, "Hello, my name is Zhang Shaojie."

The older sister smiled. "Hello."

Everyone else could tell that Zhang Shao was interested in the older sister just by seeing him take the initiative to greet her.

Zhang Shaojie: "I ran into you at your school a few days ago, do you remember me?"

The older sister glanced at Zhang Shaojie, thinking: "Fine. He can lie so easily." "I don't remember."

"I wanted to ask Hou Juanjuan to help me arrange a meeting with you. But you kept refusing to come out. So, I came in person today. Jie Jie, can I treat you to dinner?"

The older sister's lips curled up slightly. "Since you've come to my school to find me, then I'll treat you."

Sun Chao: "You're not going to invite us to eat in the cafeteria, are you?"

The older sister raised an eyebrow: "What? You don't want to?"

Sun Chao: "I..."

Zhang Shaojie: "I'm willing. Where's your cafeteria?"

The older sister looked Zhang Shaojie and his friends up and down. "Forget it. Dressed like this, if I take you to the cafeteria, I'll become even more famous at school."

Zhang Shaojie: "Then I'll go change into some ordinary clothes." He also sent everyone else away.

Sister: "No need. I'll treat you to a meal outside."

Zhang Shaojie: "Okay. Shall we drive or walk?"

"drive."

Zhang Shaojie walked to the car and opened the passenger door: "Please."

"Thank you." The older sister walked towards the car. Zhang Shaojie thought she would sit in the passenger seat, but instead, she opened the driver's side door. "I'll drive."

Zhang Shaojie was a little surprised. "You can drive?"

The older sister smiled. "Okay." Zhang Shaojie and his group drove three cars in total. "If you're worried, you can ride in the back car."

Zhang Shaojie got into the passenger seat. "I believe you."

"Thanks."

Zhang Shaojie looked at the others and said, "We'll go first, and you follow behind." This meant that they weren't allowed to get into the car his sister was driving.

After Hou Juanjuan got into the car behind and sat down, she asked Sun Chao, "Brother Sun, do you think Han Jiejie is deliberately keeping us in suspense?"

"Why would you think that? Didn't you say she's a good person?"

"I... I asked her out several times but she wouldn't agree, but as soon as you guys came, she agreed. Not only did she agree, she even said she'd treat you to dinner. Don't you find that strange?"

Sun Chao thought for a moment. "You mean she's refusing to go out to eat with you to lure us out?"

Hou Juanjuan nodded. "She probably wants to meet you first before deciding whether or not she wants to play with you."

"What if we don't come?"

“I’ve invited her so many times. Maybe the more I invite her, the more she thinks you will come to see her.”

Sun Chao looked ahead. "Beautiful, smart, and talented. Young Master Zhang might have to put in a little effort this time."

Although Zhang Shaojie agreed to let his sister drive, he wasn't sure how good she was at it. So initially, he focused on safety. After discovering that his sister was a good driver, he started chatting with her. "I heard from Hou Juanjuan that you're studying oil painting now?"

"Um."

"Do you need a model? If so, I can be one for you."

"Thanks."

"I heard you are also very good at traditional Chinese painting."

"good."

"Could you paint a traditional Chinese painting for me? My grandfather's birthday is in a few days, and I'd like to give him a traditional Chinese painting. He really likes traditional Chinese paintings."

"Can."

"Thanks!"

"No need," the older sister thought to herself: I didn't paint this for you.

Zhang Shaojie chatted with his sister about other things.

Twenty minutes later, my sister stopped the car. "We're here."

Zhang Shaojie looked up. "You're treating us to dinner here?"

"Okay. Let's go."

Hou Juanjuan and her friends also stopped. Hou Juanjuan curled her lip when she saw her sister park in front of the upscale club they frequented. "Hypocritical."

Sun Chao was also a little surprised. "Zhang Shao got her so quickly?" Sun Chao thought that if Zhang Shaojie hadn't paid, his sister definitely wouldn't have dared to invite them to dinner here. Therefore, Sun Chao assumed that Zhang Shaojie had already won his sister over.

Hou Juanjuan's male companion put his hand on her shoulder. "What's so strange about that? Once Young Master Zhang reveals his identity, no woman will be able to refuse him."

Sun Chao was a little disappointed. "That's true. Let's get off the bus too."

After everyone came down, my sister led them into the club.

The club's duty manager immediately came over to greet Zhang Shao and his group. After exchanging greetings, the manager looked at Zhang Shao and asked, "Young Master Zhang, are you going to that private room again?"

Just as Zhang Shaojie was about to nod, Hou Juanjuan deliberately pointed at her sister and said, "Manager, you should ask this young lady. This young lady is treating us to dinner today."

The manager glanced at the older sister and, thinking she didn't seem like someone he could afford, looked at Young Master Zhang again.

Just as Zhang Shaojie was about to speak, his sister mentioned the name of a private room.

As soon as the older sister finished speaking, the manager realized he had misjudged her. "This way, please."

Zhang Shaojie was also taken aback. "Jie Jie, you've been here before?"

"No."

"How did you know there was such a private room?"

The older sister raised an eyebrow at Zhang Shaojie. "Because I chose this name."

Zhang Shaojie's expression changed instantly. "You took it?!"

Hou Juanjuan was also startled. "Does this club belong to your family?"

The older sister smiled. "To be precise, this club is mine."

Hou Juanjuan: "What?! Didn't you say you'd never been here before?"

“What’s so surprising? I just need to find a good manager, tell him my ideas, give him the money, and he can help me get the shop up and running.”

"Aren't you...aren't you afraid he'll run off with your money?"

My sister isn't afraid of that at all.

Zhang Shaojie was now filled with regret. "Jiejie, can I talk to you about something?"

"cannot."

"Jie Jie, I really didn't know Hou Juanjuan was talking about you. If I had known it was you, I wouldn't have dared to mess with you even if I had ten lives. Jie Jie, just ignore me, okay?"

Sun Chao and the others were dumbfounded. "Young Master Zhang, who is she?"

Zhang Shaojie glared at Hou Juanjuan.

Hou Juanjuan quickly shrank behind her male companion.

Zhang Shaojie glanced at the others. "You guys go back first. I need to talk to Jie Jie about something."
