Xiaoman frowned.
Xiao Hei yelled at Han Bin a few times, "You're finished."
Old Shang thought to himself, "Thank goodness I wasn't standing next to the table."
Old Guo was so focused on cooking that he wouldn't hear you unless you called him. So, Old Guo had no idea that Han Bin had swept all the food he made onto the floor.
Han Bin looked at Xiaoman and said loudly, "Xiaoman, don't eat his cooking. I can cook too, I'll cook for you."
Xiaoman: "What are you making for me? Porridge?"
Han Bin puffed out his chest: "I learned to cook from someone."
Xiaoman smiled and said, "Then go ahead and do it."
"Okay." Han Bin walked into the kitchen with his head held high.
Old Shang looked at Xiaoman and asked, "Why doesn't he let you eat Lao Guo's cooking? Wait, we don't think we told him that Lao Guo can cook."
"Um."
"Does he know you can't cook?"
"Um."
"Well..." Old Shang thought for a moment, "did he think someone else cooked this meal?"
"Um."
Old Shang winked at Xiao Man: "This other person wouldn't happen to be that handsome scholar, would it?"
Xiaoman didn't say anything.
Old Shang was a little surprised: "Really? Why didn't you choose that handsome scholar back then?"
Xiaoman didn't say anything.
Lao Shang: "Actually, Han Bin is quite good too. Look, he's even learning to cook from someone."
Xiaoman smiled.
On the other side, Han Bin was stunned as soon as he entered the kitchen. "Uncle Guo, it's you?"
Old Guo glanced at Han Bin and then continued to stir the soup in the pot.
Han Bin felt a little guilty: "Uncle Guo, did you cook those dishes on the table?"
"Um."
Han Bin inwardly groaned: "Oh no, I've messed up! Xiaoman is definitely going to punish me." "Uncle Guo, if someone spills those vegetables, will you be angry?"
Uncle Guo glanced at Han Bin: "Yes."
What do you do when you're angry? Swear? Hit someone?
Uncle Guo looked at the knife on the cutting board.
Han Bin muttered "My goodness!" to himself and quickly came out of the kitchen.
As soon as they came out, Han Bin ran to Xiaoman's side: "Xiaoman, I was wrong."
Xiaoman glanced at him: "What did you do wrong?"
"I shouldn't have swept the food off the table without asking any questions."
Xiaoman: "What are you?"
Han Bin didn't understand: "What am I? I'm a human being."
Xiaoman glared at him: "Identity."
When asked about his identity, Han Bin's first reaction was: "I am your husband."
Xiaoman glared at him again: "Official rank."
"You mean an official rank? Regimental commander."
"How could you, as the commander, act so impulsively?"
"I was wrong. I..."
"Shut up."
Han Bin looked at Xiaoman. The meaning was: I was wrong, please forgive me. Okay?
Xiaoman ignored him.
A moment later, Zhang Yong and his men came in carrying the groceries. The three of them were stunned as soon as they entered. What happened? Why were all the vegetables on the floor?
Xiaoman glanced at Han Bin.
Han Bin: "They are all my battalion commanders. They wanted to come and see you when they knew you were coming. This is Zhang Yong, this is Sun Dahai, and this is Li Yi."
The three of them greeted Xiaoman together: "Hello, sister-in-law."
Xiaoman smiled and said, "Sit down. We'll have lunch here."
Zhang Yong glanced at the vegetables on the ground: "No, we just came to say hello to your wife."
Sun Dahai: "Yes, sister-in-law, we're going back."
Xiaoman: "It's our first meeting, how can your sister-in-law let you go back on an empty stomach? Please sit down, the food will be ready in a bit."
Li Yi: "Next time."
Xiaoman glanced at Han Bin.
Han Bin: "Your sister-in-law asked you to sit down, so please sit down."
Li Yi: "Commander, let's do it another day."
Han Bin: "Everyone, sit down."
After the three of them sat down, Xiaoman looked at the vegetables on the ground and said, "There was water on the ground just now, and I slipped and fell. You guys sit down, I'll clean up."
Han Bin: "I'll do it."
Xiaoman: "I'll take care of it. You chat with Yongzi and the others."
"All right."
Old Shang winked at Xiaoman: "Okay, teach your son in public, and teach your husband in private."
Xiaoman smiled.
On the other side, Zhang Yong asked in a low voice, "Commander, why did you run away just now?"
Han Bin: "I didn't tell your sister-in-law I was coming back for dinner when I left, because I was afraid she and the others wouldn't have cooked for me."
Li Yi: "I thought something was wrong with how my sister-in-law's cooking smelled."
Han Bin: "How could it be wrong if the food smells good? Haha..."
Xiaoman finished tidying up and went to the kitchen. "Uncle Guo."
Old Guo glanced at Xiaoman: "The soup will be ready in a bit."
Xiaoman: "Han Bin thought the dishes were made by someone else, so he swept them all onto the floor."
Old Guo's eyes widened immediately: "What?!"
"He didn't do it on purpose. There were guests outside."
Old Guo squeezed the spoon in his hand tightly: "I'm not cooking for him tonight."
Xiaoman smiled and said, "Okay."
How many guests are outside?
“Three of them. They are all soldiers under Han Bin.”
"Okay. You can go now."
"Um."
After Xiaoman went out, she sat down next to Han Bin and the others to listen to them chat.
Li Yi saw Xiaoman come out of the kitchen and didn't go in: "Commander, is your aunt here too?"
"No."
"In the kitchen?"
Han Bin glanced at Xiao Man.
Xiaoman: "I adopted two elderly people. One of them is a chef."
Li Yi: "So you're a chef. No wonder your cooking smells so good. Commander, we're really in for a treat today."
"Yeah," Han Bin thought to himself, "You guys are lucky, but I'm doomed. Uncle Guo might kill me."
Half an hour later, the food was ready.
As soon as Uncle Guo brought out the dishes, Han Bin and the others couldn't sit still. Han Bin said, "Uncle Guo, your cooking smells so good."
Old Guo smiled and said, "If it smells good, eat more."
Han Bin was taken aback: Uncle Guo wasn't angry anymore? "Okay."
Xiaoman is the only woman in the family, so they didn't have separate tables.
Old Guo's cooking skills are exceptional. Of the seven people, apart from Xiaoman, Lao Shang, and Old Guo, the others practically wanted to eat the plates themselves.
Because they had to redo it once, it was already quite late after dinner. Han Bin and the others then returned to the military camp.
After Han Bin and the others left, Xiaoman told Lao Guo to go and rest.
In the kitchen, Xiaoman and Lao Shang divided the work, one washing and the other wiping.
Old Shang: "Have you ever washed dishes before?"
"It's been washed."
Old Shang didn't believe it: "Really washed?"
"Um."
"You're truly capable of being both a prince and a housewife."
"I can't cook."
"Then you must also be able to feed your family."
Xiaoman smiled.
That evening, Han Bin expected another delicious meal to await him. Unfortunately, while there was delicious food, there wasn't any for him.
During the meal, Lao Guo gave Han Bin a plate of mixed grain steamed buns: "These are yours. The ones on the table are ours."
Han Bin glanced at the food on the table.
Old Guo: "You swept the dishes I made onto the floor at noon."
Han Bin silently walked to the corner, carrying his steamed buns. While the others ate and drank heartily, he munched on a steamed bun. After taking a bite, Han Bin thought to himself: "Impulse is the devil." Savoring the aroma, Han Bin finished a whole plate of steamed buns.
After finishing the meal, Han Bin took the initiative to wash the dishes.
After washing the dishes, Han Bin boiled two more pots of water. After washing up, Han Bin went to Xiao Man's side and said, "Xiao Man, are you tired? Let me give you a massage."
"good."
"Then lie down."
"good."
Han Bin was overjoyed. Maybe, if he kept kneading, they'd get to... you know, and then he could be on top.
