Chapter Nine Arrival
"Comrade, she hit me first!"
Li Zhaodi pointed at Gu Zuozuo, but when she met Gu's dark, emotionless eyes, her finger trembled, and for some reason, she subconsciously withdrew her hand.
"Bullshit! If you weren't so foul-mouthed, would you have gotten beaten up?"
"Exactly, all you do is throw accusations at people. Do you own a hat factory or something?"
Gu Zuozuo, who wanted to make a move, was completely protected by her two girlfriends, who didn't let her exert any effort at all. With their back-and-forth banter, they made Li Zhaodi cry again.
The flight attendant who came to mediate the fight had a throbbing headache from the noise. Seeing the three about to start fighting again, she quickly reached out to stop them and prevent them from causing trouble again.
"We are all educated youth, we are a group, let's talk things out and not cause internal disputes."
Li Zhaodi was sobbing uncontrollably, her clothes were tattered, her hair was disheveled, and she was crying with snot and tears streaming down her face, muttering incoherent curses.
Qi Meng snorted, grabbed Meng Tian and Gu Zuozuo, turned and left, her head held high like a peacock that had won a fight.
People around them instinctively made way for them, and as they watched them return to their carriages, they all lowered their heads and whispered among themselves.
"Zuo Zuo, don't be angry. That's just how she is. She has a foul mouth. She was the most troublesome person in school! She was always picking on you because she thought you were easy to bully!"
That woman was just jealous of Zuo Zuo's beauty. Even though Zuo Zuo lived alone and should have been living a miserable life, she lived a more refined and leisurely life than Zuo Zuo, who had both parents.
"Exactly! Zuo Zuo, she's up to no good. She always acts like she's being bullied, but she's actually more ruthless than anyone else. Stay away from her if you run into her in the future. You're so delicate, what if you get bullied?"
The delicate Gu Zuozuo: ......?
Yang Shuang sat upright in the carriage, looking at the three returning people with an expression of "I am very obedient," her eyes sparkling.
"I...I watched your luggage, no one touched it."
Ah! They're so cool! It's a pity I'm not from the same commune as them.
"Thank you, please have some candy!"
Meng Tian gave her two White Rabbit candies, then peeled one and stuffed it into Gu Zuozuo's mouth, earning her a crescent-shaped eye in return.
The old woman holding the rooster instinctively tightened her grip on it and silently took a few steps back. Her rooster was a treasure, and she had to protect it.
Qi Meng and Meng Tian exchanged a glance, their eyes filled with mockery.
Perhaps because the three men's heroic act on the train was so memorable, for the next four days, no one in the entire carriage spoke loudly, and even the pig remained asleep.
Four days later, the train arrived at the station.
Qi Meng and Meng Tian, who were already exhausted, were dragged off the train by Gu Zuozuo, one in each hand.
With a bag in front of her and another behind her, and holding onto two sisters in each hand, she struggled to squeeze out of the car.
"I never want to take the train again, it's too much of a hassle."
Qi Meng, pale-faced and drowsy, clung to Gu Zuozuo, barely alive, suppressing the urge to vomit.
She thought she would be fine, but the next day she started to feel carsick, and she felt unwell for all four days of the four-day train journey.
"Cheer up, we're heading to the educated youth settlement to report for duty."
"Is no one coming to pick us up?"
"No, we have to go to the educated youth registration point to register first, and then people from the brigade will come to pick us up."
Don't ask her how she knows; Klass has already started guiding her in her mind.
I squeezed onto the bus, and with a clang, we arrived at the entrance of the educated youth office.
There was a table by the door, and a young man wearing glasses sat behind it, writing something.
"Hello, is this where educated youth register?"
The young man looked up and was immediately dazzled by the four girls in front of him.
"Yes, you were sent-down youth?"
Qi Meng nodded and handed the certificate to the young man.
"Red Flag Commune? You've come at just the right time. The car from Red Flag Commune that was there to pick you up has just arrived."
He pointed to a somewhat dirty tractor beside him.
The four of them were among the first to arrive, so the registration process went very quickly.
