Gu Zuozuo snorted and walked down the mountain.
If their stove hadn't been built yet, she wouldn't have sold it to the system; she'd be annoyed with her every day.
Bang!
Gu Zuozuo stopped in her tracks, her ears twitched, and she suddenly looked to her left, her expression instantly becoming serious.
Gunshots?
Bang! Bang!
Gu Zuozuo's expression turned serious. There were gunshots here?
[Host! Run!]
Claes's voice suddenly became sharp, filled with anxiety.
Its information scan showed that more than a dozen people carrying firearms were running towards the host's direction. The tower knew that its host was very skilled, but even the best martial arts skills are afraid of guns!
Without the slightest hesitation, Gu Zuozuo gathered her strength and used her limited internal energy to rush down the mountain.
However, some things tell us that when you want to accomplish something, things often don't go as planned, and what you fear most is what happens most often!
Gu Zuozuo hid in a tree that was so thick that it would take two people to hug it, trying to use the lush branches and leaves to cover her body, holding her breath as she watched the adrenaline-pumping gunfight below.
She never expected that even though she sped down the mountain, she would still run into these uncivilized guys. How did they manage to escape in the same direction as her?
That's right! They were running for their lives. Several ugly-looking people were running for their lives in front, while several tall men in military uniforms carrying guns were chasing closely behind, occasionally exchanging a few shots with each other.
Gu Zuozuo could tell at a glance which side was the villain and which was the good guy.
One person and one system squatted in a secluded spot, watching the commotion with glee. No one would have imagined that someone would stay up all night in this deep mountain forest, squatting in a tree to feed mosquitoes.
[Host, money can be earned back, but losing your life is something to be truly overjoyed about!]
"roll!"
She's lucky she's not driven mad by a system that's always thinking about changing hosts.
Just as the banter between the two players and their system was getting heated, the gunfight below came to an end.
"Li Zeyu, go ahead and shoot if you dare! Even if I utter a single word, I'm still your grandson!"
The man called Li Zeyu casually held his gun, glanced at the bald man stubbornly resisting in the middle, and said in a mocking tone.
"Mountain Spirit, your provocation won't work on me. You'd better come back with us obediently; you can't escape."
The mountain spirit sneered, glaring at the group of people in green military uniforms with gritted teeth.
"Going back with you is the same as dying. Do you think I'm an idiot? Besides, don't be so confident. How do you know I didn't leave a backup plan?"
No sooner had he finished speaking than several more men, guns in hand, circled around from behind, their rifles aimed at the soldiers in the middle.
[Host, aren't you going to play the hero and rescue the damsel in distress? The leader is such a handsome guy.]
Gu Zuozuo curled her lips in disgust, glanced at the man the system had mentioned, and her eyes flickered.
"System, watch less of those brainless dramas and read more books. I'm the one who needs to be saved, okay?"
The system rolled its eyes so hard it almost flipped its core inside out. She needed to be saved? The man she dragged to his death in her past life probably had the most to say on that!
Li Zeyu tapped his hat brim with his pistol, a smirk playing on his thin lips, a wicked glint in his eyes. Trying to play this game with him?
"Mountain Spirit, this is your last chance. Are you sure you want to do this?"
The mountain demon laughed wildly, threw away his gun which was now out of bullets, drew a samurai sword, and stared viciously at the group of men in military uniforms who were surrounded in the middle.
"I never need your chance!"
Before he could finish speaking, Li Zeyu dodged and fired in unison with his teammates.
Gu Zuozuo shook her head. Sure enough, there's a reason why villains die from talking too much.
