The first chapter begins with waking up to a brutal beating (1/2)

The first chapter begins with waking up to a punch in the face.

"Brother, this woman's skin is so soft!"

"Hmph! You don't need to tell me! How could a woman I set my sights on at first sight not be beautiful?"

If she wasn't pretty, I wouldn't even think of a way to get her.

"Didn't Brother Qiang say we can't touch her? We'll deal with her after we get those things the Gu family hid. If you do this, won't Brother Qiang come after you?"

"Pshaw, what's there to be afraid of? At worst, we can just send him back after we're done. If you don't tell and I don't tell, how will he know?"

In her hazy state, Gu Zuozuo sensed someone touching her clothes, and the little radar in her mind flashed red.

She struggled to open her sleepy eyes, and through her blurry vision, she saw two tall, menacing men about to grope her.

Where did this audacious madman come from? How dare he lay a hand on her! She'd be useless if she didn't smash his brains out!

Just as he was about to use his internal energy to send the two people in front of him flying, he was suddenly horrified to find that he had no internal energy left in his body, and instead felt a heavy and blocked feeling in his body.

"My little beauty is awake? Good, I don't like playing with people who don't move!"

The man with a scar on his face looked at Gu Zuozuo, who was groggily opening her eyes, and was completely captivated by the shimmering light in her eyes and her pitiful appearance.

No wonder he fell in love at first sight and was willing to offend Brother Qiang to get the woman he wanted—beautiful! Truly beautiful!

Gu Zuozuo suppressed her irritable emotions, closed her eyes, silently recited the mantra, and secretly regulated her breathing.

The man watched as Gu Zuozuo closed her eyes again, then leaned closer with interest. Was she giving up and not planning to resist?

The dark, rough hand reached out again to the woman lying there, looking weak and helpless.

"Aaaaaah! You bitch! Let me go!"

Gu Zuozuo sneered and slapped the man, turning his face to the side.

"You dare lay a hand on me! I'll cripple you and call you daddy!"

With a kick, the man cried out in pain, kneeling on one knee and clutching his groin. His middle leg had been broken, and he even felt as if he heard something shatter.

"You bitch! You just wait...!"

With another crack, the man screamed in agony as his arm twisted so badly that the bone was exposed.

"You bitch! How dare you! Let go of my brother!"

A loud roar came from behind, followed by the sound of wind breaking. Without thinking, Gu Zuozuo grabbed the half-dead person in her hand and used them to block her way.

The sound of a knife piercing flesh rang out, and the man in front of her groaned softly before collapsing to the ground.

"Brother! Are you alright?!"

The burly man helped his elder brother up and was about to look up and curse when a thick wooden stick came hurtling towards him.

Bang!

The burly man, whose forehead was gradually bleeding, pointed at Gu Zuozuo, his lips trembling, his eyes filled with disbelief.

Wasn't she supposed to be a frail girl who couldn't take care of herself?

Is this what you call weak? Then what is he?

Not giving the men a chance to react at all, and seemingly afraid that she wasn't strong enough, Gu Zuozuo hit them a few more times and then pressed their pressure points to put them to sleep.

After dealing with the two men, Gu Zuozuo staggered and knelt on the ground, panting heavily, cold sweat beading on her forehead.

Her barely mustered energy vanished completely after dealing with the trouble; she probably couldn't even beat a two-year-old child now.

His consciousness gradually became hazy and deep, but he couldn't hold on any longer and fainted again as soon as he closed his eyes.

After an unknown amount of time, Gu Zuozuo woke up again. The effects of the medicine had worn off. She rubbed her weak arms, endured the feeling of exhaustion, sat up, and looked around.

This is a very simple and dilapidated house with drafty mud walls and a roof that lets you see the blue sky when you look up.

Looking at her fair, smooth hands with thin calluses, and then at her stiff, uncomfortable clothes, she kept recalling the chaotic memories of her body.

It's now 1969, and the original owner was sixteen years old.

At this point, not only was she not born yet, but her stubborn mother probably wasn't even born yet.

The original owner was both fortunate and unfortunate to be born in this era. For the first fourteen years, she was raised in a pampered environment.

However, unforeseen events can happen, and unexpected disasters can strike at any time.

When she was fourteen, countless Little Red Guards broke into her home, smashing and ransacking it. They dragged her parents out and never returned.

When she returned home from school, she was met with a messy room and her parents who had disappeared.

At the time, the original owner did not know why her parents were arrested, while she herself was able to escape unharmed.
