Xu Ruantang went upstairs without looking back. Chen Ji tried to pull her back, but she shook off his hand. "Did you do this?"
Her eyes were cold.
Chen Ji answered quickly, "Yes."
"Why?" Xu Ruantang asked in a calm voice.
Chen Ji's thin lips were pressed tightly together.
He knew where the money in the study came from. He also knew how Xu's father's stroke had occurred.
He tacitly approved of Xu Ruantang's actions.
But he had to stop her from doing what she was about to do.
