"Wasting food is shameful. You've all changed shifts anyway, so you need to go eat breakfast!"
Having just finished breakfast, Xu Ruantang couldn't fall back asleep, so she went downstairs to buy toiletries.
After returning to the ward and washing up, she glanced at Jia Shuling before lying down again.
After dozing off for a while, Xu Ruantang kept feeling that someone was watching her.
I couldn't sleep at all.
She opened her eyes and sat up. As soon as she turned her head, she met Jia Shuling's undisguised look of disgust.
"Why is it you?"
Jia Shuling's voice was weak, but as always, it was strong and sharp.
Xu Ruantang smiled and said, "Yes, besides me, no one else is willing to come and keep you company, Second Aunt."
After she finished speaking, she stood up and poured herself some hot water.
Jia Shuling rolled her eyes so hard they almost reached the sky. "You're not even here to keep me company; I'd rather be alone."
She took a breath before continuing, "I haven't had a drop of water since I woke up."
Xu Ruantang slowly blew on the hot water and sat down on the stool next to Jia Shuling's bed.
She didn't answer Jia Shuling's question, but drank her water and deliberately said, "What's wrong with the water at this hospital today? It tastes unusually sweet."
Jia Shuling was so angry she felt like her nose was about to burst into flames.
"Xu Ruantang, are you even human? I'm already like this, and you're still bullying me?"
Xu Ruantang ignored her.
"You! I'm still your second aunt. If you don't give me water, I'll tell the whole compound that you abused me when I get better."
Xu Ruantang got up, moved her chair, and sat a little further away from her.
