Wang Xiuxiu stopped stepping when she got tired.
Before she could struggle, Lu Shishen released her.
He picked up the documents from the bed, turned and walked towards the door, saying, "If you want a divorce, follow me."
Lu Shishen walked quickly, his voice deep.
Wang Xiuxiu: "......"
This person is definitely crazy!
Things went smoothly after that. Once outside the compound, Lu Shishen was driving a military vehicle.
They got their marriage certificate very quickly, and the speed and smoothness of the process surprised even Wang Xiuxiu.
She thought she would have to deal with Lu Shishen's unreasonable demands a few more times.
But there was nothing there. After finishing the business, Lu Shishen went back to the hospital with her.
He didn't say another word the entire time.
Wang Xiuxiu wanted to talk to him about Lu Xiaozhao's schooling, but before she could finish her sentence, Lu Shishen interrupted her.
"I'm very busy, let's talk about it tomorrow."
His attitude was very perfunctory.
At first, Wang Xiuxiu thought he was really busy with work, but now it seems that his new love is the one who's busy!

After Shen Youyou left, the hospital did not assign anyone to Wang Xiuxiu's ward.
She and Xu Ruantang stayed together. Xu Ruantang borrowed a chess set from somewhere, and the two played it for the whole afternoon.
As darkness fell, Xu Ruantang stretched and prepared to return to Jia Shuling's place.
Wang Xiuxiu teased her, "If you knew her, you'd say you're here to keep your second aunt company; if you didn't, you'd think you were here to have fun."
Xu Ruantang went over for lunch, helped Jia Shuling to the toilet, washed her bowl after she finished eating, and filled a kettle with hot water for her.
“It’s not my fault.” Xu Ruantang raised an eyebrow. “She thought I was too noisy and told me to leave, saying she’d find the guard at the gate if anything happened…”
Having been rejected to this extent, Xu Ruantang naturally wouldn't stay.
Wang Xiuxiu suggested, "Why don't you sleep here tonight?"
Xu Ruantang waved her hand, "No, I'll go keep her company tonight."
This is a mission, and she has to complete it.
She turned to look at Wang Xiuxiu, "Before I leave, shall we go to the restroom together?"
After settling Wang Xiuxiu in, Xu Ruantang returned to Jia Shuling's ward.
She had just reached the door when her mouth and nose were covered and she was dragged into the darkness.
Xu Ruantang initially wanted to struggle, but upon smelling the newcomer's scent and having her hand happen to touch the back of his hand, she stopped moving.
She was carried into the storage room.
Xu Ruantang rolled her eyes in the darkness and sighed softly.
Why didn't you resist?
Chen Ji's voice was low, with a deep, warm tone.
He released his hand from Xu Ruantang's.
"Just say what you have to say, or shut up." Xu Ruantang said helplessly, "You're not human, you're just acting like a ghost. Next time, I'll throw you off the building."
Chen Jiming knew she was strong, so he wasn't worried that she might hurt him accidentally.
"When you go back to the ward, close the door and don't come out."
Chen Ji pinned Xu Ruantang against the wall, pinching her earlobe with one hand.
Xu Ruantang was so engrossed in his words that she didn't notice his actions at all. She opened her eyes wide and asked, "What happened?"
"It's fine now, but it might be different tonight."
"In short, no matter what sounds you hear, don't come out. Stay in the ward obediently."
Xu Ruantang looked up and pushed him away, "Then move aside, I'll go tell Sister Xiuxiu, if not, let her stay with me tonight."
Chen Ji didn't move. "You don't need to worry about her."

Jia Shuling was still leaning against the headboard reading a book when the door rang, but she only glanced up.
As soon as Xu Ruantang entered the room, he bolted the door.
Feeling unsafe, he even tried to pull a stool over to block the door.
Jia Shuling glanced at her movements and said in a flat tone, "Alright, if something really happens, the stool is useless."
Xu Ruantang's eyes lit up, and she stopped blocking the door.
She walked quickly to Jia Shuling's bedside, pulled up a stool and sat down, blinking at her, "Second Aunt, what do you know?"
Jia Shuling's expression was indifferent as she looked away from the book.
"Didn't Chen Ji tell you?"
She curled her lips into a smirk, "I thought you two had a great relationship, but it turns out it's nothing special."
Xu Ruantang nodded slightly, "Yes, yes, that's all. So, what exactly do you know?"
Jia Shuling didn't expect that Xu Ruantang's skin seemed to have gotten even thicker now.
"The more you know, the faster you die."
Ignoring Xu Ruantang's almost glowing eyes, she put away her book, slowly lay down, and closed her eyes to sleep.
"Go turn off the lights, it's bedtime."
Xu Ruantang was also surprised. Jia Shuling, who was usually as shrewish as a sieve, seemed to have her mouth locked today.
She could only turn off the lights and get into bed, only to realize that she hadn't washed up yet.
Since she can't go now, she lies in bed guessing what's going on.
Tossing and turning until midnight, Xu Ruantang was half-asleep when a loud noise came from outside.
At first, she thought it was some naughty kid setting off firecrackers.
After a few more sounds, she realized something was wrong.
That must be the sound of gunfire.
Xu Ruantang sat up in bed and, turning her head to see in the moonlight, discovered that Jia Shuling was awake and hadn't fallen asleep either.
She was just calmer and lay there without moving.
Footsteps and hushed conversations could be heard outside the ward.
There were even more car sounds starting up downstairs.
It didn't quiet down until late at night.
There was a knock on the ward door, and soon a voice came from behind: "It's alright, go to sleep peacefully."
