the next day.
Before dawn, Huan Molin was dragged out of bed by Chen Ji.
He was still sleepy-eyed, his long hair was messily curled, and he looked at Chen Ji with a dazed expression, lifting his long eyelashes.
"Uncle, what are you doing?"
Chen Ji stood by the bed, looking down at him, his voice clear and magnetic: "Get up."
"I'm still sleepy, I won't eat breakfast."
After saying that, he was about to lie down again.
She muttered to herself, "The bed my sister made is so fragrant and soft, I want to keep sleeping."
A cold glint flashed in Chen Ji's eyes, and he grabbed him and lifted him up. "I made the bed, and I washed the sheets. You think it smells nice? Why don't I sleep with you a little longer?"
Huan Molin was jolted awake by his words.
He took a step back, his gaze towards Chen Ji filled with wariness and inquiry.
"Uncle, you're lying to a child, aren't you?"
Huan Molin had never seen Huan Yuanliang do housework, let alone wash or change bed sheets.
From childhood to adulthood, his father always had everything done for him, and was always busy with work.
"Men don't know these things."
Huan Molin is going through puberty, and his voice is hoarse when he wakes up in the morning.
Chen Ji scoffed, "The men in our family do the housework. If you want to stay, come with me to buy groceries."
Huan Molin was initially unwilling.
But then, after a moment's thought, he agreed: "Okay, let's go."
As a result, Chen Ji dragged him around the compound three times.
He was out of breath after just one lap.
After two laps, I was drenched in sweat.
By the third lap, I was almost using both hands and feet.
In contrast, Chen Ji didn't even breathe loudly, just stared at him expressionlessly.
Huan Molin's mouth was dry. "Uncle, you have amazing stamina!"
He was convinced.
Chen Ji then let him go and took him to buy groceries.
Back in the compound, Huan Molin tried to go to his room, only to find the door locked!
"Go take a shower, then cook dinner."
Chen Ji said as he walked upstairs.
Huan Molin thought he had gone to wake Xu Ruantang up, so this time he didn't argue and obediently went in to take a shower.
He rushed over quickly, and as soon as he opened the door, his trouser leg was grabbed by something fleshy.
Huan Molin lowered his head, "God!"
Where did this little kid come from? He's tilting his head up, his big eyes blinking as he stares at him.
Chen Ji carried the dishes out of the kitchen and shoved them into Huan Molin's hands.
"You watch the child, wash the vegetables, I'm going to take a shower."
Huan Molin didn't even have time to react before the bathroom door closed.
Xiao Bao was still holding onto his trouser leg.
He wanted to shake it off, but he was afraid that if he moved it, the little guy with those few teeth would cry.
"Who are you?"
Huan Molin freed one hand and poked her chubby cheek, a hint of disgust in his eyes.
It's a girl.
He dislikes girls younger than him.
Xiao Bao had no idea what Huan Molin was thinking; he only thought that the person in front of him was very handsome.
People like beautiful and lovely things.
So Xiaobao flashed her usual fake smile, and then ran away.
Huan Molin looked at that crooked figure, gritted his teeth and followed.
If something happens to her, he'll be scolded again.
"Slow down..."
Huan Molin sighed helplessly and started chasing Xiao Bao around the house.
His stepsister was once this age.
She always smiled at him like a flower.
And what was the result?
When he starts talking, take his toys away, hit him, and bite him.
She always accuses others first, and cries the most pitifully every time.
Whenever this happened, the woman would yell at him and even hit him.
As soon as her father arrived, her expression changed immediately.
This kind of situation has played out countless times since he was a child. Later, he learned to pretend and became like a stepmother.
She cries more fiercely than anyone else every time.
She looked more aggrieved than anyone else.
At this point, Dad couldn't bring himself to scold him.
Huan Molin sat on a low stool in the courtyard, lost in thought, while Xiao Bao plucked tender buds from the vines not far away.
Soon, Huan Molin felt a warmth in his arms.
A chubby little body pressed against him, and a small hand was still clutching his shirt, "Duck, duck."
"You're so stupid! What duck? That's a branch."
Huan Molin lowered his head, his gaze falling on Xiao Bao's long, curly eyelashes.
Those big, clear black and white eyes were completely different from her stepsister's.
Huan Molin realized that he had once again felt pity for the little guy, and his face instantly turned cold.
I wanted to reach out and push her away.
"Mommy, Mommy..."
Before he could even raise his hand, Xiao Bao had already run off.
Chen Ji stood at the doorway of the main room, picked up Xiao Bao, and corrected him, "Mommy is sleeping, call Daddy."
Xiao Bao hugged Chen Ji's neck, his voice soft, "Daddy, Daddy!"
Huan Molin looked surprised and immediately stood up from the low stool. "You have a child!"
Chen Ji chuckled, "Strange?"
"Then you are not good enough for your sister."
Huan Molin said sincerely, "You're older, and you have children, so you're not suitable to be with my sister."
When Chen Ji used to lead new recruits, even the youngest soldier he encountered was significantly older than Huan Molin.
Some of them were still green-faced, clueless lads when they first joined the army.
None of them could say anything like what Huan Molin is saying now.
This child is frighteningly precocious.
"Is it possible that Xiaobao is my child with your sister?"
After Chen Ji finished speaking, he also felt that something was not right.
This kid misled him.
Chen Ji coughed lightly, "Why call me sister? Call me auntie or madam."
Huan Molin pouted, unconvinced.
