Chapter 410 The Lost Clothes

She quickly went upstairs, entered the study, retrieved Huan Molin's previous painting, and showed it to Li Shuyang.

Li Shuyang took the painting from Xu Ruantang with one hand and held a peeled apple in the other, presenting it to Xu Ruantang.

"Thanks."

Xu Ruantang didn't think much of it. Anyway, Li Shuyang had cut one for each person, and she wasn't very good with a knife, so she ate it without any guilt.

Huan Yuanliang had no idea that Huan Molin had a talent for painting, and he curiously walked over to Li Shuyang to take a look.

Li Shuyang opened the painting, and after just one glance, his eyes lit up with a different kind of brilliance.

"Yes, she is indeed very talented."

He was a teacher at the China Academy of Art, and Huan Yuanliang knew a little about him. Upon hearing this, he asked in surprise, "Really?"

Huan Yuanliang had heard too many compliments, so he subconsciously assumed that such praise was an exaggeration.

"Teacher Li, Mo Lin has never studied painting before. Is it too late for him to start now that he's this old?"

Huan Yuanliang humbly sought guidance.

Now that he no longer has the concerns he had when Tang Weiwei was around, he also wants his son to have things he enjoys.

"Of course there's still time. He's still so young. Age is one thing, but talent is something that can't be forced."

Xu Ruantang, who was eating an apple, couldn't help but say something in support of Huan Molin.

Li Shuyang nodded in agreement, “Third sister-in-law is right, Mr. Huan. If you don’t mind, you can let the child stay with me and I will teach him.”

The matter was settled quickly.

Besides studying academic subjects, whenever he had free time, Huan Molin would go to the China Academy of Art to find Li Shuyang, who would give him private lessons on art-related knowledge.

Huan Yuanliang was naturally very happy and immediately said that he would pay Huan Molin three times the salary he would have paid as a Chinese teacher.

Just as dinner was about to be served, Xu Hanli arrived late, carrying two bottles of wine.

Xu Ruantang took a look and saw that it was still Moutai.

I suddenly realized that being single means having money.

After the meal, Huan Yuanliang saw everyone off and, with Huan Molin by his side, turned and left a message for Xu Ruantang.

"Ruan Tang, once you get to the south, if you need any help, just call my friend. He'll definitely be able to help you."

Xu Ruantang was going to live in the south for a while and planned to buy a house there. Everyone found out about this during dinner.

Xu Ruantang smiled and nodded, "Okay, thank you, President Huan."

She bought a train ticket for three days later, and Chen Ji went with her, but they didn't stay there.

Before leaving, Xu Ruantang visited the Chen family again to see the old lady, her godmother, and Ye Lan.

The old lady would secretly slip her a lot of money when no one was around.

Xu Ruantang refused, and the old lady got angry.

"Ruan Tang, Grandma knows you're making a lot of money. Do you look down on Grandma's little bit of money?"

Xu Ruantang waved her hand helplessly, "No, Grandma, you should keep it and buy yourself something you like to eat."

Just after she finished speaking, Xu Ruantang added, "You can't buy sugar and other food items. The doctor said that your current health condition means you can't eat things that are high in oil or sugar."

After some tug-of-war, Xu Ruantang finally gave in to the old lady and accepted the money.

The next day, Chen Ji was not home, and Xu Ruantang leisurely packed her luggage.

Chen Ji was only going for one day, so she didn't need to bring too much stuff and thought she would pack it as she went.

When the wardrobe was opened, a suit jacket fell out.

Xu Ruantang recognized it at a glance; it was Li Shuyang's "lost" clothes.

Chen Ji bought a new one for Li Shuyang, and the old one ended up looking brand new.

When Chen Ji returned home that evening, Xu Ruantang told him about it.

Her intention was to tease Chen Ji about the times when he couldn't remember things.

To everyone's surprise, Chen Ji looked at her with a deep gaze and remained silent for a long time.
