Yao Yulan walked to the Chen family's door, straightened her dress, touched her hair, took a deep breath, and prepared to knock.
He reached out and found the door was ajar.
She was overjoyed; it seemed that even God was on her side.
Yao Yulan tried to walk in quietly, so she walked very slowly. She had only gone halfway when the curtain inside the room was lifted.
Her breath hitched, and she instinctively stopped and tried to turn around, her heart pounding.
The person who came out was Xu Ruantang. She said to Chen Ji, "I'm going to boil water to take a bath. I'll call you when I'm done."
A deep, magnetic voice soon came from inside the room: "Hmm."
Xu Ruantang walked towards the kitchen, completely unaware of Yao Yulan in the darkness.
Just as Yao Yulan breathed a sigh of relief, she stopped again and looked sharply in their direction!
Yao Yulan was so frightened that she dared not breathe and almost suffocated herself.
After a long while, Yao Yulan dared to look at her, only to find that she wasn't looking at her at all, but was lost in thought, her eyes somewhat vacant.
Xu Ruantang seemed to suddenly remember something, took a few steps back, and called out into the house, "Chen Ji."
"Um?"
"I'm going to take a shower in a bit, so don't come out until I tell you to!"
Her tone was somewhat shy and coquettish.
There was a moment of silence inside the room before a slow reply came: "Okay, I won't come out."
This woman is really troublesome!
Brother Chen really falls for a woman's coquettishness! Xu Ruantang, on the other hand, didn't blab.
Yao Yulan stood stiffly in the darkness, rolling her eyes.
She watched as Xu Ruantang went into the kitchen, lowered the curtain on the door, and soon the sound of water being added to a pot could be heard from inside.
Only after confirming that she wouldn't come out again did Yao Yulan move.
She took a deep breath, walked to the door, and quickly unbuttoned two buttons, thinking it would make it easier to take off her clothes later.
Just as my hand touched the door curtain, a voice called from next door: "Magnolia? Magnolia??"
It was Wang Jian's loud voice. Already feeling guilty, Yao Yulan turned around and darted two meters away from the gate.
"Strange, why is the door open?"
Wang Jian walked to his front door, peeked out cautiously, and tried calling out, "Yulan? Yulan, are you there?"
After a long silence, Wang Jian scratched his head and muttered to himself, "Went to the outhouse? It's been so long."
He said he was going back to the yard, and headed straight for the backyard.
Yao Yulan leaned against a big tree in front of Chen Ji's house, cursing Wang Jian in her heart, "That persistent ghost."
She was so close to succeeding!
Xu Ruantang is probably about to take a shower by now. No, she has to hurry.
A loud bang came from behind her. Yao Yulan turned around in shock and found that the Chen family's door had closed right under her nose!
"Why did you forget to close the gate today?"
It was Xu Ruantang's voice, followed by the sound of footsteps fading into the distance.
That's it, there's absolutely no chance now!
Yao Yulan deflated like a punctured balloon and almost collapsed to the ground.
On second thought, she realized there were still a few days left, and it wouldn't be too late to look for an opportunity tomorrow.
Just as she was about to leave, she heard footsteps coming from in front of her house, and she looked in the direction of the sound.
Before she could see anything, everything went black and she was suddenly carried away! Yao Yulan wanted to shout but dared not. What if she attracted attention? How could she explain that she was in front of the Chen family's house late at night?
The last time that happened, she was a virgin; this time, she's a married woman.
Not to mention that she would be criticized by everyone, she wouldn't have an easy time with Yao Guoqiang either!
Yao Yulan struggled desperately, when suddenly a sharp pain came, as if she had been thrown to the ground and her bones felt like they were about to crack.
Before she could recover from the excruciating pain, another barrage of punches and kicks came hurtling towards her.
Xu Ruantang deliberately avoided her face, hitting her in places that were indistinct but excruciatingly painful.
"Help!" Yao Yulan finally cried out.
Who is it?! So despicable!
Wang Jian was looking for Yao Yulan when he heard the noise and rushed over, only to find her covered in a sack.
"Who is it? Who hit me? Show me who you are! What are you doing doing these shady things?!"
Yao Yulan was furious, and when she exerted herself, she felt a tearing pain all over her body, making her grimace in pain.
"Magnolia?"
Wang Jian listened to the voice and it sounded more and more familiar. He opened the sack and saw that it was indeed the voice!
"Wife, what are you doing?"
Wang Jian's words successfully ignited Yao Yulan's anger. Ignoring her pain, she raised her hand and slapped him across the face. "What are you doing? You piece of trash! Can't you see I've been hit?"
Yao Yulan shouted angrily, "Call the police! I'm calling the police! I know! It's Xu Ruantang, it must be Xu Ruantang!"
Wang Jian's ears rang from the slap, and it took him a while to hear anything. He looked innocent and asked, "Wife, what happened?"
“I said I’m calling the police. Xu Ruantang hit me. I want the police to come and arrest her! Come to my house now. I have a phone at my house!”
The fact that Brother Chen was able to call the police so late proves that the police were not asleep and were waiting at the police station to catch the bad guys!

Although Wang Jian was somewhat intimidated by Chen Ji, he mustered his courage and stood up for the sake of his wife, walking to the front of Chen's house.
He reached out, only to find the Chen family's door closed, and awkwardly withdrew his hand.
“Yulan, the Chen family is all asleep. Look, their doors are all closed. With such a high wall, Xu Ruantang couldn’t possibly climb over it, could she?”
