"It's fixed! The radio is fixed!"
Lin Chengyu was so excited he almost jumped up; he hadn't felt this excited in a long time.
Since the family moved from the mainland to Hong Kong, both their lives and careers have been smooth sailing and they have been very satisfied.
However, to his surprise, this seemingly casually decided road trip would encounter a tornado that is rare in a century!
These extreme weather phenomena are completely unpredictable, and their destructive power is beyond imagination.
When it arrives suddenly, it feels like the end of the world, filling people with fear and helplessness.
Faced with this sudden natural disaster, people are often helpless and can only watch it rage and destroy everything beautiful.
Song Ziqing urged, "Hurry up, Ayu, let's send out a distress signal! It would be even better if we could contact our uncles!"
Once the signal was sent, everyone fell into a brief silence.
Everyone was waiting for a response from the radio station! Time ticked by, and everyone's heart was in their throat. Finally, a faint sound came from the radio.
Lin Chengyu and Song Ziqing exchanged a glance, their eyes filled with joy.
They quickly adjusted their frequency, trying to hear the other person's reply clearly.
"Hello... This is... the rescue team... We have received your distress signal... Please tell us your exact location... We will arrive as soon as possible..." The intermittent voice brought a glimmer of hope to the people.
Lin Chengyu hurriedly replied, "We encountered a tornado in... XX area... and people are trapped here..." As he spoke, he observed the surrounding environment, looking for landmarks that could serve as reference points.
"Okay...we understand...please remain calm...and wait for rescue..." Hearing the other party's response, everyone breathed a sigh of relief.
At this moment, all they could do was silently pray that the rescue team would find them soon and bring them safely away from this dangerous place.
As time passed and night gradually fell, the evening sky was shrouded in a hazy mist, as if veiling the whole world in mystery.
Looking around, the town, which should have been full of life and vitality, was now gloomy. The houses and streets were covered with a thick layer of dust and looked dilapidated.
The once clear and blue sea has now become filthy and stinks, making people feel disgusted.
To restore all of this to its former glory will likely require a tremendous amount of effort and time. It might involve cleaning up the trash on the beaches, repairing damaged buildings, treating polluted water sources, and restoring the marine ecosystem's balance…
Suddenly, a voice came through the radio; it was the voice of the rescue team from the outside world.
They received the distress signal that Song Ziqing had sent earlier, saying that he was on his way.
"Great! We're saved!" the crowd cheered.
However, the joy did not last long.
Soon, they heard the howling of wolves outside, and it was getting closer and closer.
"Oh no, the wolves are coming!" Lin Chengyu shouted in terror.
This sudden turn of events made everyone tense, and the already tense atmosphere instantly became heavy, with everyone's nerves stretched to the limit.
Their eyes widened, and they gripped the various tools in their hands that could be used as weapons, ready to face the attack of this pack of ferocious wolves.
Accompanied by a series of low, roaring sounds, the flimsy basement door was pounded so hard it seemed about to collapse at any moment.
A thrilling life-or-death struggle is about to begin...
"Bang..." A loud noise was heard, and the basement door finally gave way under the heavy pressure, breaking open a large hole under the fierce impact of the wolf pack.
In an instant, several huge wolves with sharp fangs surged into the house like a tide.
With their scarlet eyes wide open and emitting chilling growls, they approached the crowd step by step.
At this critical moment, Roger stood up without fear, followed closely by several strong bodyguards.
Armed with simple tools such as hoes and shovels, they charged towards the wolves at the door without hesitation.
Roger's eyes widened in fury, radiating an aura of authority. He raised his hoe high and swung it down with tremendous force at the lead wolf.
Just when Song Ziqing thought a fierce battle was about to begin, he suddenly heard a booming sound from the sky.
Everyone looked up and saw a helicopter flying towards them.
After circling above them a few times, the helicopter slowly landed on a nearby open space.
The hatch opened, and a man in military uniform stepped out.
His gaze swept around the room, finally settling on Song Ziqing and Lin Chengyu.
"Are you survivors?" the man asked loudly.
Song Ziqing and Lin Chengyu exchanged a glance and then nodded.
“Great! We’re a rescue team sent here to search and rescue,” the man said. “Let’s get on the plane quickly, it’s not safe here.”
A sense of hope welled up in everyone's hearts, and they all boarded the helicopter.
With a tremendous roar, the helicopter slowly took off.
Looking back at the town that had been reduced to ruins through the plane window, Song Ziqing couldn't help but let tears blur her vision.
She bit her lip and secretly vowed: no matter how many difficulties and obstacles lie ahead, she must survive tenaciously!
The helicopter sped away into the distance, gradually disappearing from this land that had endured so much hardship and suffering.
Song Ziqing sat quietly in the cabin, but her emotions remained unsettled.
The images of the innocent lives lost in the tornado kept flashing through my mind, and my heart was filled with gratitude and relief to have survived.
Looking at her tear-streaked face and her heartbroken expression, Lin Chengyu felt a pang of pity. He gently patted her shoulder and comforted her tenderly, "Don't be sad anymore, okay? We are incredibly lucky to have survived that terrible disaster."
Song Ziqing nodded slightly, indicating that she understood the principle, but her eyes remained firm and determined as she said, "That's right, we do need to become stronger! I think Mom and Dad must already know everything we've been through, and they must be extremely anxious right now!"
Time passed by, the night deepened, and all was quiet.
Finally, after a long wait, the helicopter successfully reached the safe area and landed safely.
