After a busy morning, it was around nine o'clock before Deng Qingling and Guo Jianping finally had time to sit down and have breakfast.
Occasionally one or two customers would come during breakfast. After breakfast, Deng Qingling would leave Guo Jianping in the store and go out with a bamboo basket.
Deng Qingling went to the supply and marketing cooperative and bought some lean meat, and then she bought some vegetables from a street stall.
When she saw that no one was passing by, Deng Qingling used a bamboo basket as a cover and smuggled some meat out of the space without anyone noticing.
Then Deng Qingling slowly walked towards the store carrying the things.
When Deng Qingling walked to the door of the store, she saw Guo Jianping wiping the table.
Seeing Deng Qingling coming back with a basket of vegetables, Guo Jianping strode over. Looking at the basket full of meat and vegetables, he said, "Wife, why did you buy so many vegetables? Can the store consume so many?"
As he spoke, Guo Jianping reached out and took the vegetable basket.
"Today is Mid-Autumn Festival, so I bought some more. I can take them home and eat them later." Deng Qingling said as she walked towards the backyard.
Guo Jianping also followed in.

The couple divided the work and cooperated with each other. Guo Jianping cut the pork in the kitchen, and then started to stew the meat. The other meat was put in a wooden basin for later use.
Deng Qingling sat by the well, picking vegetables and washing them.
After washing the vegetables, Deng Qingling brought them into the kitchen and chatted with Guo Jianping while cutting them.
After the meat was stewed, Guo Jianping tasted it first. He thought it tasted good, so he picked up a piece of meat and fed it to Deng Qingling.
"Yeah, it's delicious." Deng Qingling nodded with a smile.
Guo Jianping: "Since you like it, I'll just cook the remaining two dishes. You can just sit by and watch."
Deng Qingling nodded and gave him a chance to perform.
After cooking the rice, Deng Qingling sat at the food delivery window in the hall, eating melon seeds and chatting with Guo Jianping from time to time.
As time passed, the meals in the restaurant were ready.
People passing by smell the aroma wafting from the store and feel like their stomachs are about to burst open.
Guo Jianping and Deng Qingling had just put the food on the table when guests started arriving one after another.
Most of the time, Deng Qingling served meals to the guests or made and cooked wontons, while Guo Jianping did everything, including wiping the table and washing dishes.
Maybe it was because it was a holiday today, there were a lot of people on the street, people coming and going, and even the business in the store was much better. The two of them were busy until about three in the afternoon.
The two of them ate something quick and started cleaning.
They didn't even count today's bill before packing up the unsold food and buns and taking them home.
There was no ox cart left for this amount of money, so the two of them walked back carrying their things.
When passing by Tianxin Village, Guo Jianping asked, "Wife, have you gone back to your parents' home to give them the festival gifts?"
"Sending holiday gifts? I forgot. I've been busy every day and I even forgot about sending holiday gifts." Deng Qingling said with a distressed look on her face.
Guo Jianping: "It's okay, it's the same if we go to deliver it tomorrow. Everyone is busy right now, and it will be dark by the time we get home.

Seeing Deng Qingling and Guo Jianping coming back, Guo Ninghuan stood up, greeted Deng Qingling and his wife, and then sat down to continue peeling chestnuts.
I watched Guo Ningwan and the other three children follow Deng Qingling and his wife into the house.
Guo Ninghuan looked down at the few chestnuts in the bowl and smiled.
Fortunately, a few little greedy cats went into the house.
Otherwise, how long would it take her to peel enough to fill a bowl?

Liang Xueying asked Guo Ninghuan to peel chestnuts, and brothers Guo Ningwan and Guo Haoran also came to join in the fun.
Guo Ningwan and Guo Haoran were fine, they peeled and ate the chestnuts themselves. Guo Haojie was still young and not very good at peeling, so he ate the chestnuts that Guo Ninghuan had peeled and put in the bowl.

"Let's go now." After saying that, Guo Ningwan and Guo Haoran took their things and ran out.
Guo Haojie sat on the stool and ate the big bun slowly.
After Deng Qingling put the other things in place, she took a plate with a few buns and put it on the table for the children to eat.
Then Deng Qingling and Guo Jianping went out to help with the work.
"Huanhuan, the buns are on the table. Eat them first and then come out to peel chestnuts." Deng Qingling said.
"Yeah." Guo Ninghuan nodded, washed his hands and went into the house to eat buns. After eating, he continued to peel chestnuts.
Over there, Guo Jianping also asked Guo Haochen to wash his hands and eat, while he squatted there and pulled out chicken intestines.
Guo Haochen had just finished eating the buns and was about to go out when Guo Ningwan and Guo Haoran came back.
"Brother, where do you want to go? I want to go too." Guo Ningwan said.
Guo Haochen: "I'm going to the back mountain to look for grandma and the others."
