Chapter 33 Returning to My Mother's Home

"It's time, I'm going to set off firecrackers," Guo Jianping said as he stood up after hearing the noise coming from outside.

"Okay, then I'll go back to my room and sleep," said Liang Xueying.

Guo Jianping returned to the room, took off his clothes and got on the bed. He gently lifted the quilt, covered her with it, and then reached out to embrace her. Soon, the sound of soft breathing came from the bed.

On the first day of the new year, Deng Qingling and Guo Jianping followed their mother-in-law Liang Xueying to visit close relatives, while Guo Youxing and Guo Jianjun waited at home for guests to come and pay New Year's greetings.

Although Deng Qingling and Guo Jianping are already married, they are adults now and not children anymore.

But Deng Qingling is a new bride, and this is her first New Year after marriage, so Deng Qingling received a lot of red envelopes on this day.

Deng Qingling didn't open the red envelopes either. After all, the Chinese New Year hadn't ended yet, so she decided to save more and open them after the New Year. She then put the red envelopes in the bedside table in the room.

There is nothing to do during the Chinese New Year, so we just visit friends and chat, and we chat all day long.

On the second day of the Lunar New Year, Deng Qingling and Guo Jianping returned to their mother's home and took some things to Tianxin Village in Jiangying Brigade.

On the way, Deng Qingling asked Guo Jianping, "Isn't Mom going back to her parents' home today?"

Guo Jianping: "My parents are leaving tomorrow. It's a long journey, more than 50 kilometers. In previous years, they always stayed overnight before returning home."

"Oh, then should we go together?" Deng Qingling asked.

"It's fine for mom and dad to go. We won't go this year because you are not feeling well," said Guo Jianping.

"Too"

Deng Qingling didn't say anything else. The two walked all the way to Tianxin Village. They met many acquaintances on the way, and they all greeted Deng Qingling enthusiastically.

Deng Qingling didn't dare to speak much. She only knew that in the original owner's memory, they were all elders in the village, so she had to deal with them carefully.

When people invited her to dinner or tea, she said no, she had already eaten and would talk to them another day.

Before she reached the door of her house, Deng Qingling saw her little niece guarding the door from afar.

"Aunt is here! Grandpa, grandma, my aunt and uncle are here!" Deng Jinhua ran into the house quickly.

After a while, Deng Lu, Liang Haidi, their son and daughter-in-law came out to greet them.

"Oh, you're here, but why do you bring so many things? We have everything at home." Liang Haidi frowned. She wondered if her in-laws would be unhappy if she brought so many things.

Seeing that my son-in-law is smiling, everything is fine.

"I miss you so much, Mom." Deng Qingling reached out and hugged Liang Haidi, expressing her longing with red eyes.

I was shocked the moment I saw her. She looked very similar to the modern grandma, even the name was the same. I thought it was just a coincidence, but it turned out to be a great fate. It's great.

"Mom misses you too. Come inside first. It's cold outside." Liang Haidi just thought that she missed home after she became pregnant.

After entering the house, Liang Haidi saw Guo Jianping helping his daughter sit down first before he sat down himself, and she was very satisfied.

The more the mother-in-law looks at her son-in-law, the more satisfied she is.

After another conversation with Guo Jianping, Deng Lu and Liang Haidi were even more satisfied.

Judging from his conversation, knowledge, and social skills, he is quite good. Fortunately, he was snatched away by our daughter.

It’s hard to find such a good son-in-law even with a lantern.

Looking at my son again...

The eldest brother is not very romantic and usually likes to study recipes. Fortunately, he is of some use. He is no longer a chef in a state-owned restaurant, but is now cooking in the kitchen.

The second brother saw that bragging was free, so he just boasted as much as he could, without even wiping his mouth.

The third son sat next to his daughter-in-law, picking peanuts and feeding her from time to time. Oh, the youngest son is really caring.

After chatting for a while, Liang Haidi took Deng Qingling into the room alone to talk about her true feelings.

The first question was: "Are you feeling well? How's your appetite?"

"It's okay. I can eat and sleep well. Everything tastes delicious." Deng Qingling.

Liang Haidi then asked, "Are your parents-in-law treating you well?"

"It's all good. You don't know what kind of people my parents-in-law are. They are both sensible people," Deng Qingling responded.

Liang Haidi asked again: "What about your son-in-law? How do you get along with him..." She was afraid that he was just pretending here.

Deng Qingling looked at her mother, whose face was filled with worry, and comforted her, saying, "It's fine... He has always been very good to me..."

"That's good. Let me tell you, you can't mess around with your son-in-law when you're pregnant. You have to take care of your health," Liang Haidi said seriously, holding her hand.

Deng Qingling blushed when she heard it and said softly: "I know, I won't do that."

Seeing her daughter's shy look, Liang Haidi said nothing more.
