When Jiang Jun woke up, the first thing he smelled was the pungent smell of Lysol.
She closed her eyes and tried to open them, but to no avail.
There were footsteps and voices.
Jiang Yun calmed down and tried to distinguish the movements carefully.
"Medic?"
"arrive!"
"How is the patient's condition?"
"The wound on the patient's head has stopped bleeding, and the soft tissue abrasions on other parts of the body have scabbed over."
"Wait until the patient wakes up and notify the surgeon to check for concussion."
"yes!"
The dialogue is concise and clear, and the voices are loud and crisp.
Where is this? What's wrong with me?
Jiang Yun was so anxious that he wanted to know what happened immediately. The more anxious he became, the less strength he had. It seemed as if his eyelids were stuck shut.
Only the cold IV on the back of her hand reminded her that this was not a dream!
The conversation stopped and the footsteps faded away.
It was all dark and my headache was getting worse.
Jiang Jun seemed to hear the sharp friction of the car's brakes and the violent collision. She remembered that she stepped on the brakes desperately, and as the car spun and collided continuously, she let out a shrill scream.
later……
Before she could think about what was going on, she heard a pleasant male voice asking, "Nurse, where is the girl who just arrived?"
"Which unit are you from?"
"I'm Jiang Yonghua, deputy section chief of the division's confidential department."
"Deputy Section Chief Jiang, who are you looking for?"
"It's my daughter."
"There's a female student who fell and is on IV drip over there. I wonder if she's the one you're looking for?"
Jiang Jun heard footsteps rushing towards her, and a big hand slapped her right arm: "Xiao Jun? Xiao Jun, wake up."
"Deputy Section Chief Jiang, the patient is still unconscious. I don't know if he has a concussion. Please be gentle."
"Concussion?"
"Yes, we've sent someone to find a surgeon. We'll check it out later to see if it's a concussion."
"Oh!" Jiang Yonghua paused for a moment. "Nurse, how long has my daughter been in a coma?"
"She was unconscious when she was first brought here. It's been almost thirty minutes now, and you see, the IV is only a little over half full."
"Who sent her here?"
"He's a soldier from the recruit company."
"Where is that soldier?" Jiang Yonghua wanted to know how his daughter was injured.
"The doctor on duty tonight was out seeing patients, so I was the only one on duty. While I was checking the patient's injuries, the soldier disappeared."
"Nurse?" someone shouted outside.
The nurse hurriedly said, "Deputy Chief Jiang, you can stay here with the patient for a while. The doctor will be here soon. I have to go change the IV for the other soldier."
"Okay, you go ahead, I'll wait here." Jiang Yonghua sat down on the square stool beside the bed.
Jiang Yun's surroundings fell into silence again.
Nurse? Soldier? Deputy Section Chief Jiang?
What crew is this?
Why am I lying here?
Guest appearance?
When did my cousin tell me this?
Jiang Yun was so worried that his head was splitting.
Where's my cousin? Why hasn't she come yet?
Where are the props? Where is the script supervisor? Where is the assistant director?
What film set is this?
War film?
Was I accidentally injured?
Oh, right, the steering wheel!
Was it a car accident?
Cameo car accident?
The headache and weakness in his limbs made Jiang Jun so frustrated that he couldn't shout or move.
She broke out in a cold sweat, felt a tightness in her chest, felt like vomiting, and had a gurgling sound in her throat.
Jiang Yonghua rushed to the door and said, "Nurse, come and take a look."
The nurse came running over: "Deputy Chief Jiang, Doctor Chen is here, at the door, and will be there soon."
"Hello, Doctor Chen!"
"Deputy Section Chief Jiang? What's going on? Who's sick?"
"It's my eldest daughter, Xiaojun, who fell and got hurt."
"So it's Xiaojun? Let me see if you have a concussion."
"Okay, thank you for your help."
Doctor Chen approached the bed, bent down and carefully examined Jiang Yun's head wound. Hearing a gurgling sound in Jiang Yun's throat, he reached out and touched Jiang Yun's forehead. Fortunately, he did not have a fever.
"Medic?"
"arrive!"
"The patient is still unconscious. I'm prescribing a Valium to prevent her from vomiting. If something gets stuck in her trachea, she might suffocate."
"Yes, Doctor Chen."
"Deputy Section Chief Jiang, I'm going to the office to write a prescription for Xiaojun. Please wait for a moment."
"Okay, Doctor Chen." Jiang Yonghua saw him out the door and went to the bathroom.
The voice ended again.
Jiang Yun was frantic with anxiety.
Did anyone notice that I was injured?
When will this scene end?
I still have clients waiting for me to negotiate contracts.
Someone come here!
Where are the people?
The nurse came over, rolled up the sleeve of Jiang Yun's right arm, exposing her upper arm, wiped a spot the size of an egg with an alcohol cotton ball, and inserted the syringe in her hand into Jiang Yun's arm.
Jiang Yun fell into a peaceful sleep.
Dr. Chen wrote a prescription, returned to the bedside, took out a stethoscope and examined the patient carefully.
After the examination, Dr. Chen removed the stethoscope from his ear and hung it around his neck. "Deputy Section Chief Jiang, based on Xiaojun's current condition, a concussion is certain. However..."
Jiang Yonghua's heart was pounding, and he seemed to have a bad premonition: "But what?"
"That's not necessarily true," Doctor Chen said, choosing his words carefully. "Judging from the location of her head wound and the reactions she just experienced, I'm afraid a blood clot is compressing her brain nerves."
