Wang Xu felt that Chen Minhua had softened her attitude towards him, and observing her family status, he knew that Chen Minhua had the final say in the family. Wang Xu immediately began to flatter her and made Chen Minhua very happy.

The food was served. Wang Xu was afraid that it would not be enough for five people, so he added some fried eggs with tomatoes. Gu Chao served himself a big bowl of rice. Chen Minhua felt that her son was embarrassing: "You are making it seem like we don't give you food at home. It's embarrassing."
Gu Chaocai didn't feel embarrassed. He picked up some stir-fried pork with peppers and fried tomato and egg with rice, and his mouth was full of delicious food.
Chen Minhua took a bite of the sweet and sour spareribs and his eyes lit up. The taste was just right: "This sweet and sour spareribs is really delicious, and has a refreshing fragrance."
Wang Xu picked up some braised bamboo shoots for Gu Xi: "I thickened the sweet and sour spareribs with lotus root starch. It's smoother and has a fresh fragrance. Gu Xi likes it. She doesn't like thickening dishes or eating sticky food."
Chen Minhua took another bite of the braised bamboo shoots. The bamboo shoots were naturally fragrant and sweet, and not too salty. "My daughter also likes this."
Gu Chao had already eaten half a bowl of rice. "I've already told you that Wang Xu cooks according to Gu Xi's taste. He takes better care of her than you do. Look at her, isn't she white and plump?"

Gu Xi snorted: "If you don't have abdominal muscles, I don't want you anymore. I'll go find someone with abdominal muscles."
Chen Minhua is really like a mother-in-law who likes her son-in-law the more she looks at him, the happier she is: "You and your father are of the same character, whining all day long, so annoying.
