Chu Jingqiu had a dream, a very long dream. In the dream, she and the educated youth Zhang Pingping were abducted by human traffickers. On the way to escape, she slipped and fell off a cliff and died, and Zhang Pingping was caught by human traffickers and sold again.
After her death, the jade pendant in the suitcase emitted a dazzling red light and then disappeared.
Her parents' hair turned white overnight, and her grandparents lay in bed for a long time. After her parents dealt with her funeral, most of her belongings were given to Qin Yilan.
After the parents returned to Beijing, they were depressed for a long time. More than a year later, the mother became pregnant again. They thought that it was their daughter who had reincarnated to find them.
When my mother was more than six months pregnant, many Red Guards broke into our house. They searched the house and found a painting called "Spring in Kyoto". It was a painting by my father in his early years, depicting the beautiful scenery of early spring in the capital. The rebels believed that the spring in my father's eyes was capitalism, and they longed for the return of the spring of capitalism.
My father was labeled a capitalist-roader and imprisoned. My mother refused to distance herself from my father, so the rebels often came to our house to smash and destroy things. My grandparents were also imprisoned and investigated.
Later, my father could not bear the humiliation and hanged himself. When my mother found out, she was heartbroken and died of premature bleeding due to excessive grief.
My grandparents were sent down to the countryside and locked up in a cowshed. The two old people were short of food and clothing, and coupled with the blow of losing three close relatives in succession, they died one after another soon after.
All of my grandparents' property was given to Qin Yilan's father, Qin Junyi. Not only did they get several properties, but also the dividends my grandfather received during the public-private partnership, a large amount of gold, silver, jade, and antique calligraphy and paintings.
Qin Junyi was promoted continuously by his unit because of his meritorious service in reporting and because he used money to pave the way for himself. Before his retirement, he became the director of his current factory.
Qin Yilan had been in the countryside for more than three years when Qin Junyi used his connections to transfer her back to the city. Qin Yilan also married the son of a high-ranking official. After the college entrance examination was resumed, Qin Junyi spent money to give tutoring to several children of the Qin family, and all of them were admitted to university.
Qin Yilan's family used the assets left by her grandfather to open several companies, and eventually became famous wealthy people in Beijing.
Chu Jingqiu opened his eyes and found himself sleeping on the kang. He couldn't figure out whether everything that had just happened was a dream or real.
She hurriedly took out the jade pendant from her neck and found that it was different from before. It had turned from red to green.
She stroked the mountains and rivers inside the jade plaque, and the mountains and rivers became more vivid. Then, the scene changed and she was standing on the roof of a building. The scene was very familiar. This was the roof of the shopping mall where she fell in the 21st century.
This shopping mall followed her across the vast land. Only this six-story building stood alone. The building was surrounded by dark and oily land, and a small river meandered in front. In the distance, there were misty mountains and forests.
Chu Jingqiu often comes to this mall to shop. This mall is a comprehensive commercial building that integrates shopping, dining, entertainment and office.
She knew that the mall had a total of six floors; the underground level was mainly an underground parking lot, a supermarket, and a fast food restaurant; the first floor was mainly for clothing, shoes, bags, jewelry, cosmetics, home furnishings, etc.; the second floor was mainly for electronics, home appliances, books, audio-visual products, sports and outdoor activities, etc.; the third floor was for branded clothing, children's products, maternity and baby products, gifts and flowers, etc.; the fourth floor was for restaurants, food, cinemas, etc.; the fifth floor was for a gym and KTV; and the sixth floor was mainly for restaurants, food, leisure and entertainment.
She didn't know whether the goods in the mall had come through time. She pushed open the door of the mall and found that the mall was full of goods, exactly the same as in her previous life. The elevator was also running, but there was no one inside.
Chu Jingqiu was filled with excitement. She tried to grab a hat and said to herself, "I want to go out!"
The scene flashed, and she was lying on the bed at the educated youth camp again, holding a straw hat in her hand.
She tried again, silently saying, "I want to go in!"
She stood on the roof of the space again, "Why is the roof the first thing we do when we come in? Can't we change places?" She complained in a low voice.
"Of course you can change places. When you come in, you can go wherever you want. If you don't say anything, the space will default to taking you to the place you have traveled through before."
"Who's talking? Come out!" Chu Jingqiu looked around but didn't see anyone else.
"Here, I'm here, Qiuqiu, I'm downstairs!"
Chu Jingqiu looked downstairs and saw Jiang Jiang, the Husky military dog she had raised in the modern era, standing downstairs looking at her. It wagged its tail happily and said happily, "Qiuqiu, I missed you so much!"
Chu Jingqiu's eyes welled up with tears of excitement. In her heart, this husky was not just a dog. To her, it was her brother, her comrade-in-arms. She quickly rushed downstairs, hugged Jiang Jiang, and said in a trembling voice, "Why are you here? Why didn't I see you just now?"
"Qiuqiu, I was downstairs when you fell, but I couldn't catch you. You even hit me and knocked me over. I have become the guardian elf of this space." Jiang Jiang said while rubbing his head against Chu Jingqiu's face.
"I saw you come in just now, but before I could say hello to you, you left." Jiang Jiang rubbed her again in grievance.
"Qiuqiu, I'm going to take you somewhere and give you a surprise!"
Jiang Jiang brought Chu Jingqiu to a room on the fifth floor of the shopping mall. Chu Jingqiu was pleasantly surprised to find that it was a one-bedroom and one-living room room. The furnishings in the room were exactly the same as the room she lived in in her previous life, especially the big bed in the room, which was exactly the same. Chu Jingqiu rolled over on the big bed excitedly.
"Jiang Jiang, where do you usually live?"
