Chapter 134 Caught in the Act

Wen Ruan and Wu Wenqian walked out of the dormitory building and headed towards the cafeteria.

Wu Wenqian walked straight down the path, the one the group usually took.

Wen Ruan was also confused and panicked for a moment, so she quickly grabbed Wu Wenqian's sleeve.

Wu Wenqian looked puzzled and asked, "What's wrong, Ruan Ruan?"

Wu Wenqian was puzzled and worried. Ruan Ruan was fine when she left home in the morning, and she was in a good mood. But after attending the class meeting and going out for a while, she became strange.

Wen Ruan was still hesitant, afraid that the harmony in the dormitory would be broken, afraid that Wu Wenqian would be hurt, but also afraid that she would give good intentions but be deceived and misled. In short, she had many things to fear.

She had never encountered anything like this before. She had even seen netizens ask online, "If a friend's boyfriend cheats on her, should she tell her?" Wen Ruan had just been casually looking at the questions, but she never expected this scene to happen to her.

Although Wu Wenqian and Zhou Wei weren't officially dating, they were definitely in a "flirting" phase. Zhou Wei was stringing Wu Wenqian along while also flirting with Zhou Wen, who, despite knowing her roommate liked that guy...

Sigh, it's hard to judge all of this. Wen Ruan felt that she was more tired than when she went to work, and her mind was having to go through such a brainstorming session.

Seeing that Wu Wenqian was still trying to be nice to Zhou Wen and bringing her food, I got so angry that I thought I should just take her to see her.

But just before leaving, she suddenly hesitated, unsure of what to do. Finally, she closed her eyes and decided to let fate or herself decide.

"It's nothing, there are just two paths to the cafeteria. Should we take the main road or the side road?" Wen Ruan asked in a low voice, not daring to look Wu Wenqian in the eye.

Wu Wenqian sensed that Wen Ruan was acting strangely: "We've always taken the back roads before, so let's hurry up and stop dawdling. I'm starving..." After saying that, she pulled Wen Ruan inside.

The two quickly left the grove of trees that Wen Ruan had passed earlier. Wen Ruan couldn't describe her feelings at that moment; she wished the two of them were still there, or that they weren't.

Suddenly, Wu Wenqian stopped in her tracks, staring intently at the two people sitting intimately in the corner.

His eyes suddenly dimmed, his lips drooped slightly, and his expression grew increasingly somber.

She knew that Wu Wenqian had still seen it...

Wen Ruan stood beside her, wanting to comfort her, but didn't know where to begin...

Perhaps because Wu Wenqian's gaze was too intense, the two people in the corner finally noticed them. After seeing them clearly, Zhou Wen and Zhou Wei quickly separated, keeping a distance between them on the bench.

But it was all too late; their actions had been clearly seen.

Wen Ruan originally thought that Wu Wenqian would rush up and question the two of them, or give them a good scolding to vent her frustration, but she didn't say a word and directly pulled Wen Ruan around and walked towards the cafeteria.

Zhou Wei initially wanted to get up, but just as he was about to stand, Zhou Wen grabbed him, preventing him from moving forward. He could only watch helplessly as Wu Wenqian's figure disappeared from sight...

"Ruan Ruan, thank you..." Wu Wenqian's eyes reddened as she recalled the scene she had just witnessed.

Because of her lively personality and some talents, and because she had previously served as a member of the publicity department at her workplace, she joined the student arts and culture department as soon as she entered university, where she met Zhou Wei, the department head in her second year.

In Wu Wenqian's eyes, Zhou Wei was considerate and meticulous, and treated her very gently. He was also hardworking and conscientious in handling departmental work, and would patiently teach her whenever she encountered problems.

Over time, Wu Wenqian developed feelings for Zhou Wei. At the end of last semester, the two often went out to eat alone, sometimes went to the cinema together, and spent weekends together. She originally thought that everything was going to happen naturally and planned to confess to Zhou Wei after the holidays.

But who knew this would happen...

Wu Wenqian couldn't understand when the two of them got together and how they met.

But it's just a man, so it doesn't matter. Wu Wenqian can find other men. What she finds most unacceptable is that the man that scoundrel was hooking up with was actually her roommate, the older sister in the dorm whom she had always trusted...

Wu Wenqian felt utterly devastated.

Wen Ruan was a little flustered when she heard Wu Wenqian's thanks. "I saw it when I got back to the dorm. I don't know if I should tell you..."

"It's alright, I still want to thank you. Although you didn't tell me on your own initiative, it indirectly made me make the choice. It was me who insisted on taking the side path." Wu Wenqian immediately understood Wen Ruan's unusual behavior after returning. She cried for a while, then forced a smile.

"Ruan Ruan, you know what? After the department meeting today, I wanted to talk to Zhou Wei about us, I wanted to be honest with him..."

"How can a man be so gentle and caring towards you, yet treat other women the same way..." Wu Wenqian couldn't help but wonder.

"Wenqian, don't cry. That kind of scumbag isn't worth your sadness. Some people are truly fortunate to have missed out on..."

"Pfft." Wu Wenqian couldn't help but laugh out loud when she heard Wen Ruan's hardcore words of comfort, feeling both amused and exasperated.

Seeing Wen Ruan's worried expression, he said, "Don't worry, he's just a man. I won't take it to heart anymore."

......

When the two returned from the cafeteria, everyone in the dormitory was there, including Zhou Wen.

She sat alone on her bed, not participating in the conversation with others. When she saw Wu Wenqian and Wen Ruan enter the room, she stood up abruptly, looking at Wu Wenqian with a hesitant expression.
