Chapter 23 Newspaper

Song Yan nodded: "Don't worry, big brother."

Song Heng nodded to Wen Ruan again, then turned and boarded the train.

As Song's mother watched the train depart, she could no longer hold back her tears, which broke Song's father's heart. He quickly pulled Song's mother's shoulder and whispered words of comfort.

......

The next day arrived in the blink of an eye, which was also the first day back to work after the Mid-Autumn Festival. Song's father and Song Yan had just used up their holiday and had to go to work today.

Song Yan got up early, bought breakfast, and after he and his father finished eating, he put the breakfast in a pot to keep it warm, waiting for his mother and daughter-in-law to wake up.

At eight o'clock in the morning, Song Yan appeared in the factory committee office on time. After tidying up the office, he stared intently at the factory committee entrance. This made everyone who just entered feel a little confused and uneasy, wondering if they were late for work.

Finally, someone, genuinely curious, asked, "Secretary Song, are you waiting for someone?"

"Hmm." Song Yan nodded indifferently.

"Who are we waiting for?" Everyone perked up their ears.

"We've arrived." Ye Xiaofan, from the publicity department, walked in carrying a stack of newspapers.

Song Yan immediately got up and walked over, "Give it to me."

Ye Xiaofan was flattered and blushed. She handed the newspaper to Song Yan, smoothed her hair, and said, "Thank you, Secretary Ye."

Without looking up, Song Yan said it was nothing and then carefully flipped through the stack of newspapers in his hand, quickly finding the Beijing Daily.

Every day, the publicity department sends someone to deliver newspapers to each department for everyone to read.

Song Yan picked up the newspaper and quickly flipped to the article written by Wen Ruan. The article took up a large portion of the page, and after carefully reading it from beginning to end, he was both shocked and delighted. Song Yan could hardly contain his excitement and wanted to see Wen Ruan as soon as possible, but considering that the timing was not very convenient, he could only restrain himself.

"Does the Publicity Department have any copies of today's Beijing Daily? If so, I'd like to buy a few." Song Yan looked expectantly at Ye Xiaofan, who was completely bewildered.

"Oh, there are some more. I'll bring them to you later," Ye Xiaofan replied.

"OK, thanks."

People around were very curious about the expressions on Secretary Song's face, who was so strict with herself and serious about her work. They wondered what magic today's newspaper had and mustered up the courage to go forward and see the magical newspaper.

Song Yan smiled slightly, generously handed the document to everyone, and pointed to Wen Ruan's article, urging them to read it carefully. He then walked towards Wen's father's office.

When everyone received the article and read it, they were all shocked by its contents.
