With a thud, the phone was abruptly disconnected. Cheng Yi and Gu Xiu exchanged a glance, both seeing despair in each other's eyes.
Cheng Yi held his wife, who was crying her eyes out, and said, "Don't worry, we'll find a way."
The tightly closed front door was suddenly flung open, and a childish voice called out, "Brother..."
Cheng Yi suddenly remembered his son who hadn't left, pushed Gu Xiu aside and rushed out of the living room. He saw Xiao Xiu standing by the living room door, and Luo Yan, who had come in through the front door, ran towards Xiao Xiu.
Cheng Yi grabbed Luo Yan, who was running over, and squatted down to grab Xiao Xiu's shirt.

A look of pain flashed in Cheng Yi's eyes as he grabbed Xiao Xiu's neck with his large hand.
Xiao Xiu didn't move, letting Cheng Yi's five fingers tighten, his breathing becoming increasingly difficult.
Luo Yan stood quietly. Even tigers don't eat their cubs; she wanted to see just how ruthless Cheng Yi could be.
Seeing Xiao Xiu's face turn purple, Cheng Yi couldn't bear it and let go.
"Go away. If you still consider me your father, then don't go around telling others."
Xiao Xiu didn't want anything to happen to Luo Yan, so she took Luo Yan's hand and walked outside. Gu Xiu ran over and hugged Xiao Xiu from behind.
“Cheng Yi, he can’t leave. If he leaves, Yi Chen will really be finished.”
Just now, Cheng Yi wanted to strangle Xiao Xiu, but Gu Xiu didn't care. Yet, he took action for that beast Cheng Yichen.
Unable to bear it any longer, Luo Yan pried open Gu Xiu's arms, shoved Gu Xiu into Cheng Yi's arms, and dragged Xiao Xiu out the door.
