Chapter 71 You really know how to talk, good luck to you.

The food was served quite a while later, and it was all of Luo Yan and Hua Li's favorite dishes.

The chill from the ice cream has dissipated, and eating hot food now won't cause stomach discomfort from the temperature change. It seems Dad is starting to mature and knows how to take care of people. It's just that the trouble he caused this morning was too big to be made up for with a little effort.

Luo Yan watched as Luo Shicheng placed a piece of sweet and sour pork on Hua Li's plate. Hua Li immediately picked up her rice bowl and refused with a clear attitude, shaking her head helplessly.

Disapproving of Hua Li's offer, Luo Shicheng placed the sweet and sour pork on his own unused plate, broke it into small pieces with chopsticks, and placed it in front of Luo Yan.

Luo Yan picked up the plate, poured the contents into her own bowl, and then returned the plate to Luo Shicheng.

Luo Shicheng immediately picked up another piece of braised fish, carefully removed the bones, and placed it on a plate for Luo Yan.

A father's companionship is irreplaceable by a mother, and Hua Li felt complicated as she watched Luo Shicheng take good care of Luo Yan.

After the meal, Hua Li asked Luo Shicheng how much the meal cost, which earned him a chillingly low mood from Luo Shicheng.

If you don't want it, then forget it; Hua Li didn't insist any further.

Luo Yan, with Luo Shicheng on her left and Hua Li on her right, skipped and hopped in the middle. Worries were for adults; she was just a child, only responsible for being happy with her parents' company.

As they approached the kindergarten, Hua Li suddenly asked Luo Shicheng a question.

"Isn't Liu Jingqiu short of money? Where would she get the money to pay you back?"

Luo Shicheng paused, then continued walking forward in silence.

Hua Li didn't want to admit it, but she had to, that her guess was most likely true.

"You paid for it with your own money, didn't you?"

Luo Shicheng kept his head down and didn't look at Hua Li, but Hua Li could easily see through his act.

"What do you mean by not saying anything? Do you think I'm easy to fool, or do you think there's no need to explain to me?"

Hua Li didn't want to be so persistent, but just as she began to change her opinion of Luo Shicheng, he would immediately do something that would disappoint her greatly. This feeling would be unpleasant for anyone.

Luo Yan shook the hand she was holding, "Dad, tell me! If that's really the case, I can't forgive you."

"I'm just helping her pay you the money first. She can pay me back when she has the money."

"Luo Shicheng!" Hua Li couldn't take it anymore. "Do you even believe what you're saying? If Liu Jingqiu really wanted to repay the money, would she write an IOU that neither party signed nor had any witnesses?"

Luo Shicheng was puzzled. "I just want to compensate you. Whether she repays the money or not is none of your business. Even if she doesn't repay it, it will still..."

Hua Li scoffed, "Yes, you're right. It really has nothing to do with me. Asking these questions is just asking for trouble."

"That's not what I meant!" Luo Shicheng couldn't explain himself no matter how hard he tried.

"Dad, you really know how to talk. Good luck to you." Luo Yan gave up on saving her father who was courting death.

A car suddenly pulled up beside him, and Chen Yuanshan greeted Luo Shicheng and Hua Li through the open window.

"Dad Chen!" Luo Yan called out to Chen Yuanshan happily.

Chen Yuanshan hadn't seen the little girl for only two days and already missed her terribly, so he smiled and opened the back door of the car to greet Luo Yan.

"Yanyan, get in the car."

Hua Li stood still and said to Chen Yuanshan, "It's not far, so let's stop here."

After all, it's a public bus. It's understandable that Sun Bailing offered to pick people up for short breaks since the journey wasn't far. But you can't just hitch a ride whenever you see one; that would be too inappropriate.

Chen Yuanshan picked up Luo Yan and put her in the car, saying.

"You're taking Yanyan to kindergarten, right? I happen to be going that way, otherwise I wouldn't be able to give you a ride."

Since things had come to this point, Hua Li didn't stand on ceremony any longer, got into the back seat, and casually closed the door.

Chen Yuanshan glanced at Hua Li, who had closed the car door without hesitation, and then at Luo Shicheng, who was standing on the side of the street like a wooden statue, before silently getting into the driver's seat.

Looking at Luo Yan in the rearview mirror, the little girl didn't seem to want her father to get in the car. It seemed that Luo Shicheng had offended the mother and daughter quite badly.

Chen Yuanshan didn't ask too many questions and was about to drive away when Luo Shicheng opened the passenger door and got in.

Chen Yuanshan had an urge to kick Luo Shicheng off the stage.

Luo Shicheng closed the car door with a cold face. "To kindergarten."

The confident tone made Chen Yuanshan so angry he almost fell over.

A smile froze on Chen Yuanshan's face. Chen Yuanshan started the car, and three out of the four people were filled with resentment towards Luo Shicheng.

Luo Shicheng tried to speak several times along the way, but ultimately swallowed his words.

Upon arriving at the kindergarten, Hua Li asked Luo Shicheng to take Luo Yan home. After the father and daughter got out of the car, he immediately asked Chen Yuanshan to drive.

Chen Yuanshan, you've made me your driver, so you'd better obey and drive away.

Luo Shicheng handed Luo Yan over to Teacher Zhang, then turned around and saw that the car parked on the street had disappeared...

When Luo Yan returned to the small class, the children, who had just finished their afternoon nap, did not cry or fuss. Instead, Teacher Zhang led them in singing nursery rhymes.

Luo Yan was a little sleepy, so she sat in a chair and closed her eyes to rest while listening to the chaotic singing.

Outside the door, Xiao Xiu, who had sneaked over to see Luo Yan, saw her return and encountered Mo Sanshan, who had come to find Luo Yan. The two immediately sparked a whirlwind of emotions upon meeting.

Xiao Xiu clenched her little fists and glared angrily at Mo Sanshan, who glared back at her in return.

"What are you two doing?" Teacher Zhang noticed the situation and quickly came over to separate the two.

Luo Yan heard the noise, opened her eyes and looked over, but ignored Xiao Xiu and Mo Sanshan.

Kids who run off without their teachers' knowledge should be taught a lesson.

Sure enough, Teacher Zhang called the teachers from the middle and senior classes to take Xiaoxiu and Mo Sanshan away. Not long after, Luo Yan went to the restroom and saw the two being punished by standing in the corridor.

Yes, that's right, Luo Yan has no sympathy whatsoever.

“Luo Yan…” Mo Sanshan called out to Luo Yan.

Luo Yan went into the bathroom, and when she came out, Mo Sanshan ran over and stuffed a wad of paper into her hand. He then immediately ran back to his spot to continue standing as punishment.

Luo Yan looked down at her hand and saw a large coin rolled up in a ball.

This is the ten yuan that Dad gave to Wu Cuihua as compensation.

Luo Yan wanted to return the money to Mo Sanshan, but An Xiaotong suddenly appeared and blocked her way.

Upon seeing the large 100-yuan note in Luo Yan's hand, An Xiaotong shouted.

"Luo Yan, where did you get the money? Did you steal it again?"

Teacher Zhang heard the commotion and came over, also noticing the money in Luo Yan's hand.

Teachers generally don't carry money with them to work; they usually lock it in their lockers. It's even less likely that other children would carry that much money. The only possibility is that Luo Yan's parents gave her money when they took her out.

"Yanyan, is this your money?" Teacher Zhang asked Luo Yan.

Luo Yan looked at Mo Sanshan, who nervously avoided her gaze.

He stole the money from the tin box where Wu Cuihua kept her money while she was busy cooking in the kitchen early in the morning. If he admitted that the money was his, the teacher and the other children would think he was a thief.

Seeing Mo Sanshan's reaction, Luo Yan guessed that the money must have been stolen from Wu Cuihua by Mo Sanshan, and nodded to Teacher Zhang.

"She's lying!" An Xiaotong shouted, pointing her finger. "That money wasn't hers at all; she's the thief!"
