Chapter 13 Buying Food

"Thank you, Auntie."

"Okay, okay, you two are so good. Play in the living room first. I'll make lunch for you." Song Tanglan reminded the two children worriedly.

"Okay." Song Yu took Song Rong to sit on the mat, took out the toys and gave them to her brother to play with. She peeled off the candy wrapper and ate the White Rabbit milk candy.

But when he was eating, he saw Song Rong's eager eyes and had no choice but to pick one for him as well.

Seeing the two little guys getting along so happily, Song Tanglan walked into the kitchen with a relieved heart. Normally, the two little guys were not so well-behaved, and they often fought. She was really afraid that in the blink of an eye, the two little guys would start crying.

That would be a headache for her, because she had never coaxed a child and didn't know how to do it.

Song Tanglan saw a lot of food in the cupboard, including cornmeal, white flour, rice, and two bundles of noodles.

Song Tanglan thought about her limited cooking skills and decided to just cook some noodles. She was not very proficient in cooking, and she didn't know how to knead dough. Usually, the original owner would just cook some noodles or heat up the steamed buns made by Su He.

She saw that there were no vegetables in the kitchen, so she planned to go to the backyard to pick some so that she could add some to the noodles when cooking.

This way it would taste more delicious and not look so bland, which was also her habit of cooking noodles in her previous life.

But she didn't pick many vegetables, just two for each person.

Beat two eggs to make the bottom of the pot, then put the noodles in. After they are cooked, add the vegetables, a little oil, salt and soy sauce. It’s that simple.

Song Tanglan first filled small bowls with noodles for the two little ones, scooping out most of the eggs for them. Although she was a little malnourished, she didn't bother to compete with the children for eggs. She picked up the chopsticks and stirred them, so that the noodles would cool down quickly.

When Song Tanglan was cooking noodles, the two little guys smelled the fragrance from afar and kept staring at the kitchen, but they did not forget what the adults said, that children were not allowed to enter the kitchen.

I could only sit on a chair and watch from afar, waiting for their aunt to bring out the noodles.

The older Song Yu has already picked up the chopsticks and started eating by himself, without needing anyone to feed him.

The younger Song Rong couldn't use chopsticks yet, so he could only stare at the noodles in Song Tanglan's hand.
