Chapter 129 Different

Considering Han Jianshu's physical abilities in his later life, he still managed to climb for two hours.

Gu Rong glanced at the people around her. Apart from Rong Xin and Han's men, they were all old, young, and infirm. It would take them forever to recover.

After thinking it over, Gu Rong realized she couldn't just sit there idly, so she started walking uphill.

She hadn't taken two steps when she was picked up by Han's men.

Seeing Gu Rong's somewhat bewildered expression, Han Jianshu explained, "With your small frame, it would take you until tomorrow to walk up. Just let Brother Xiaohe carry you up."

Upon hearing this, Gu Rong glanced at Han Jianshu. Although she didn't say anything, the meaning was clear: You're just a little thing, what are you so capable of?

Han Jianshu smiled and started walking up the mountain.

Although his physical condition is not as good as his future self, he grew up in the army and received training from a young age, so this distance is nothing to him.

As for Rong Liancheng and Fan Qi, although they are older, they are still in good physical condition.

Without saying anything else, they all followed behind Han Jianshu and headed up the mountain.

With Gu Rong being held, Rong Xin was no longer worried.

However, she was still a little worried about her parents' health because of the high mountain.

He walked up to Fan Qi, took her arm, and helped her upstairs.

Although Gu Rong was being carried, she was still a little embarrassed. She had planned to wait for Xiao He to carry her for a while, and if he got tired, she would take the opportunity to say that she wanted to get down and walk.

But when they reached the halfway point and saw that Xiao He wasn't sweating at all and his breathing was even steady, Gu Rong couldn't help but give him a mental thumbs up.

Then, for the rest of the journey, Gu Rong was comfortably carried along.

After climbing for more than an hour, Xiaohe carried Gu Rong to the top of the mountain.

Looking at the dilapidated thatched hut, Gu Rong was speechless. Was this a Taoist temple?

Gu Rong stared at Xiao He, who was also looking at her, and then put her down: "You rest here for a while, they'll be up in a bit."

Turning his head to look at Shanxi Ai, Gu Rongyuan could only see the tiny figures of Han Jianshu and Rong Xin, and it seemed that it would be a long time before they came up.

Gu Rong tugged at Xiao He's hand: "Brother Xiao He, thank you for carrying me up. I'll have my grandparents treat you to dinner later."

"Thank you, but no need," Xiaohe said reluctantly, only looking down the mountain.

Gu Rong knew he was worried about Han Jianshu, so she sat obediently in front of the thatched hut and then looked at Xiaohe: "Brother Xiaohe, go pick up Jianshu and Grandma, I'll wait for you here."

Xiao He glanced around. The surroundings were relatively flat, but there was a cliff not far away. Gu Rong was just a little child of three years old, and he was worried about her.

If something happens to him while he's down the mountain, the young master will definitely hate him to death, and he won't have the face to live in this world anymore. He dares not leave easily: "Jianshu can do it himself, we can just wait."

Gu Rong wanted to say that Han Jianshu was so far ahead, he would definitely catch up in less than half an hour. What she was worried about was whether Rong Xin and the others could manage.

Just as she was about to say something, the thatched hut behind her opened.

Gu Rong turned her head and saw an old man walking out, wearing an old Taoist robe and with a thin face.

Behind him followed a younger child, who was not fat and looked to be about the same age as him. He was dressed simply, but his eyes were very bright, as if stars lived inside them.

The old man looked Gu Rong and Xiao He over and said, "Comrade, if you ever get into trouble, just leave the young comrade with me."

Hearing this, Gu Rong nodded to Xiao He and blinked her eyes obediently, saying, "Okay, Brother Xiao He, you go ahead. Grandpa, the big brother, and I will wait for you here."

Xiaohe only knew that her young master insisted on bringing Gu Rong and the others, but she didn't know what they were there for.

Seeing Gu Rong's overly familiar manner, Xiao He thought the child was really silly, not afraid of being kidnapped by a stranger: "No need, they will be here soon."

Gu Rong glanced at the approaching group and couldn't help but sigh. They'd already taken so long; they were almost there.

However, since she had said so many times that it was originally a difficult task for the other person, and since the other person was unwilling to do it, Gu Rong didn't insist anymore: "Okay, then let's sit and wait."

Seeing the two sit down, the old man asked his grandson behind him to pour water: "Pour the water from the teapot on the left."

He then sat down next to Gu Rong and asked with a smile, "You're from the Rong family in Beijing, right?"

Hearing what the other person said, Gu Rong asked with bright eyes, "Master, you're so amazing! You can even figure this out?"

"Not bad," the old man replied with a smile, pouring two cups of water that his grandson had brought over, giving one to Gu Rong and the other to himself.

After taking a sip himself, the old man gestured for Gu Rong to drink: "This is one of my most treasured teas, have a sip and try it."

Gu Rong picked up the teacup, took a small sip, and the fragrance of the tea spread in her mouth. But besides the aroma of the tea, Gu Rong also felt much more energetic. Her eyes sparkled as she looked at the old man: "What is this?"

"It's just ordinary tea. If you like it, drink more," the old man said, picking up the kettle and pouring another cup into Gu Rong's cup.

Gu Rong didn't stand on ceremony and drank it down in one gulp.

Xiaohe stood to the side, watching Gu Rong drink a cup, while the old man poured her more.

When Xiaohe saw Gu Rong drink her fifth cup, she stepped forward to stop her, saying, "Xiao Rong, you've drunk too much. Any more and your stomach will burst."

As he spoke, Gu Rong reached out and rubbed her stomach, finding no discomfort at all. Instead, a warm feeling spread from her stomach outwards.

Pulling Xiaohe's hand away, Gu Rong said with a smile, "I'm fine, Brother Xiaohe, I don't feel uncomfortable at all."

He handed the cup to the old man, saying, "Grandpa, would you like some more?"

The old man chuckled and shook the kettle: "This comrade is right, drinking too much is indeed bad, and this whole kettle is gone. You should digest it first."

"Okay," Gu Rong said, somewhat disappointed, but still put the cup in front of her and propped her head up with her hands to look down the mountain.

A short while later, Han Jianshu's figure was seen coming up.

Xiaohe quickly stepped forward: "Jianshu, are you alright?"

"It's nothing, I'm just a little tired. I'll rest for a bit," Han Jianshu said. Although he was a little tired, he felt pretty good overall and plopped down next to Gu Rong.

Seeing the cup in Gu Rong's hand and the kettle beside her, he picked them up, poured himself a cup, and drank it down: "Phew, that feels good."

Seeing Han Jianshu pour out the water, Gu Rong stared wide-eyed at the old man: "Grandpa, didn't you say it was gone?"

"It was already empty, so I had my grandson pour another pot," the old man said, reminding Gu Rong as she was about to pour water, "This is different from what you drink."
