Upon hearing "100 times," Ah Xi's eyes lit up instantly.
Then, without any hesitation, he pulled out a bunch of things from his spatial panel: "Host, take a look and see which one you want to eat, I'll feed it to you."
"Whatever, as long as I'm full," Han Jianshu said without even looking at the food, and collapsed onto the ground.
Axi glanced at him, then picked out a few of the cheapest ones and fed them to Han Jianshu.
After a flash of white light, Han Jianshu felt more comfortable and quickly fell into a deep sleep.
Seeing that the two were alright, Ah Xi returned to her space and waited for them to wake up.
Inside a room on the second floor of the villa, Gu Rong lay on the bed, vaguely feeling a warm sensation on her body.
I opened my eyes groggily and saw the woman sitting by the bed.
Upon seeing the other person's face, Gu Rong instantly sat up: "Mom, Mom? How come you're still alive..."
Gu Rong looked around. She was still in the room, but the person in front of her was real, yet unreal.
Gu Rong pinched her arm hard and felt the pain before she believed it was real.
Lin Yuan looked at her silly daughter and rubbed the spot where she had just pinched herself: "Are you stupid? Doesn't it hurt when you pinch yourself?"
"It hurts, but it doesn't hurt," Gu Rong said, her pain subsiding as she fell into Lin Yuan's arms.
Sensing that her daughter was in low spirits, Lin Yuan didn't say much. She just held her quietly, wanting to hold her a little longer.
Gu Rong hugged Lin Yuan tightly, her tears unconsciously soaking Lin Yuan's clothes.
She had so much to say to her mother, but when the words came to her lips, she didn't know where to begin.
Lin Yuan gently patted her back and said tenderly, "Rongbao, what's wrong? Why are you crying?"
Gu Rong raised her head, sobbing, and looked at her mother's familiar and kind face. She asked, "Mom, what happened? How did you end up here?"
Lin Yuan smiled, but there was a trace of sorrow in her eyes: "Rongbao, are you still half asleep? This is our home, where else could I be if I'm not here?"
Gu Rong stared at Lin Yuan, raised her hand and placed it on her face, feeling the warm touch beneath her hand; it felt very real.
"What? You don't think I'm real?" Lin Yuan smiled and pinched her cheek. "Alright, your grandfather's birthday is in a couple of days. Let's go shopping and celebrate his birthday, okay?"
Upon hearing the words "birthday," Gu Rong reacted as if under stress, gripping Lin Yuan's hand tightly and staring at her with wide eyes.
She wanted to speak, but no matter what she did, she couldn't open her mouth.
Lin Yuan looked at her, withdrew her hand and ruffled her hair, then straightened up and picked her up: "Alright, you're just a child, don't think so much. Let's go buy a gift."
After Gu Rong was picked up, the struggle on her face slowly disappeared, replaced by the smile of an eight or nine-year-old child. She hugged Lin Yuan's neck back and smiled sweetly, "Mom, let's go quickly. I want to order the tea that Grandpa likes. He'll definitely be very happy."
Lin Yuan carried Gu Rong out, saying as they walked, "Okay, let's go order now, and then buy some little dresses that Rong Bao likes, okay?"
Gu Rong smiled and pointed outside, shouting loudly, "Okay, let's go now, let's set off."
Although she was smiling, she was struggling inside, but no matter what she did, she couldn't say anything.
Gu Rong leaned on Lin Yuan's shoulder, looking at the familiar house and the familiar people.
But slowly, as she watched the people in front of her, one by one, their bodies bursting into flames and turning into corpses.
Gu Rong felt a growing headache coming on, and she buried her face in Lin Yuan's shoulder in pain, tears streaming down her face.
For so many years, she preferred to be locked up in a mental hospital rather than come out, and dared not think about anything that had happened before.
But over the years, she clearly remembered that the day before her grandfather's birthday, her whole family was murdered, and only her nominal father, Gu Mo, and she survived.
Her whole family was murdered, and it was her so-called father who did it, but no one dared to investigate or mention it. They just said it was an accident when she had a seizure.
No matter what she said or shouted, no one believed her. They just said that she had caused a lot of harm at such a young age, and that if she was sick, she should have gone to get treatment instead of causing the deaths of her entire family of more than ten people.
She was only eight years old at the time, so there was no way to sentence her, and she was sent to a mental hospital.
The Gu family only had one child, her mother. The whole family died, and all their assets fell into Gu Mo's hands.
Gu Mo, believing he could atone for his daughter's sins, donated most of the Lin family's assets, properly buried the victims, and paid out a lot of money to win public support. His business grew bigger and bigger, while his daughter's mental illness worsened.
She once thought that if she could come back, she would definitely save everyone and expose Gu Mo's true colors. But now that she's back, she can't control her body and mouth and can't say a word.
Then why bring her back?
Why?
Lin Yuan put Gu Rong in the passenger seat and saw the tears on her face. She wiped them away with heartache and kissed her on the cheek: "What's wrong, Rong Bao? Why are you crying again?"
Gu Rong hesitated for a long time, as if testing someone: "I'm fine, Mom. I just miss Grandpa. I haven't seen him and Grandma for so long. Shall we go see them instead of shopping?"
Lin Yuan wiped away her tears and gently comforted her, "Okay, let's go see Grandpa and Grandma first, let's go now."
"Don't cry. If your eyes get red, they'll think I bullied you and they'll scold me. You don't want to see Mom get yelled at, do you?"
Gu Rong forced back her tears, then wiped them from her face and forced a smile, saying, "I don't want Mom to be scolded either. I won't cry anymore. Let's go now, let's set off."
Seeing Gu Rong's aggrieved look, Lin Yuan's heart softened. She gently stroked Gu Rong's hair and comforted her, "Okay, okay, let's go now and let you have a good few days there."
Gu Rong nodded, obediently gripping the seatbelt and staring ahead.
The car slowly started and drove towards the Lin family's house.
Throughout the journey, Gu Rong remained silent, simply gazing out the window at the road ahead that she had walked and remembered for many years.
Before long, the car arrived at the Lin family's house.
After parking the car, Lin Yuan took Gu Rong's hand and walked into the house.
Looking at Lin Xiao and Chi Ting sitting in the garden enjoying the cool air, Gu Rong excitedly shouted, "Grandpa and Grandma, we're back!"
As soon as he finished speaking, two elderly people quickly came out to greet him, their faces beaming with kind smiles.
"Oh my, my dear granddaughter is here!" Chi Ting said with a beaming smile, and quickly hugged Gu Rong tightly in her arms.
Lin Xiao walked over with a smile, bent down and patted Gu Rong's head, saying with a smile, "Rongbao, it's been a long time, Grandpa has missed you so much!"
Gu Rong felt the warmth and love of her maternal grandparents, and her reluctance and resentment grew deeper and deeper.
