Chapter 160 Being Watched

Seeing his expression, Gu Rong spoke up before he could say anything: "Alright, stop shouting. I'll take you there, okay? Get in here."

"Here I am," Han Jianshu said with a smile, having achieved his goal. He closed the door and sat on the bed, waiting for Gu Rong's next instructions.

Gu Rong didn't even want to look at him anymore. She took out an invisibility talisman and a wall-penetrating talisman and threw them to Han Jianshu. Without saying another word, she was about to stick the talismans in her hand to her body.

Han Jianshu watched her actions and said, "Don't use it yet. If you use it, we won't be able to see each other for a while. What if I run around and say something wrong, causing trouble?"

Han Jianshu appeared innocent when he said this, but the threat in his words was anything but innocent.

Gu Rong walked over, took his hand and placed it on her shoulder, then stuck the talisman directly on it: "Hold on tight, if you drop it halfway, don't blame me for not bringing you along and causing trouble again."

Han Jianshu grabbed her wrist and said with a smile, "Don't worry, I won't let go, I'll never let go in this lifetime."

Gu Rong ignored him and turned to walk outside.

Han Jianshu almost fell over because he wasn't paying attention, but he quickly regained his footing and followed steadily behind Gu Rong.

The two didn't say a word the whole way. Gu Rong didn't speak because she was too lazy to talk, and Han Jianshu didn't speak because there were people watching them all the time. Although they could hide their figures, they could not make any noise or commotion.

After the two left the area, Gu Rong took out two speed talismans, stuck one on each of them, and quickly ran towards the sea.

After finally reaching their destination, Gu Rong was about to remove the invisibility talisman when she suddenly heard footsteps approaching from not far away.

Han Jianshu held his breath, his hand gripping her wrist tightening involuntarily. He pointed to a spot not far away, indicating that they should go there and not block the road.

Gu Rong nodded slightly, and the two walked over one after the other. Soon, the footsteps grew closer and closer, and a dark figure stopped not far from them, seemingly looking around.

Gu Rong frowned, staring at the person not far away.

Following the man's figure, Gu Rong saw a number of people standing far away on the beach behind him. It seemed that, just as she had thought, their location had been watched long ago.

If it were just the Rong family, they would have been wiped out along with their belongings by the time everyone arrived tomorrow. These people are really clever.

But now that she's here, those people's plans are going to fall through.

Gu Rong tugged at Han Jianshu and pointed in another direction where no one was around, indicating that they should go there.

Han Jianshu looked around and found that the other side was safer, with a large rock blocking the way, so even if there was any movement, it would not be easily noticed.

So he shook his head, pointed to the direction he was looking and whispered, "It's more secluded over there; we're less likely to be discovered if we go there."

In Gu Rong's view, she has something that makes her invisible, so it doesn't matter which way she starts.

But after glancing at the rocks not far away, he realized that it was indeed safer over there, so he nodded without hesitation to indicate that he could.

The two then observed the area one after the other and quickly walked towards the large rock.

Once they reached the back of the large rock, Gu Rong waved his hand, and a small wooden raft appeared on the sea. The entire iron boat was not large, usually only big enough for one person to sit in.

The two of them could fit comfortably in the boat; if there were other silent, engine-powered boats available, she would have bought one.

After all, we're close to the sea now, and still some distance from those people. If we set sail directly, it would make a lot of noise, and it would be even more difficult for them to leave tomorrow.

When the two of them could only rely on the small raft, they would take out the oil boat after walking a certain distance.

So the two sat on the raft, wearing life jackets, each holding a paddle.

To prevent the two people behind from not being able to see each other before they make contact, and in case someone falls into the water and drowns without them even knowing it.

They found a rope and tied the two of them tightly together before starting to paddle towards their destination.

Fortunately, the waves weren't too big tonight, otherwise, those two little ones would probably have been swept into the sea before they even set off.

After they had walked a certain distance, they pulled out a small iron boat.

Han Jianshu didn't let Gu Rong set off first. Instead, he took out a map and said, "Take out a lamp and see where Rong Fanyu said the boat was located."

Gu Rong took out a flashlight, and the two of them lay on the iron boat watching.

Although a little light still peeked out, they were still quite far from the shore, so the people couldn't see anything.

Gu Rong looked at the map and finally pointed to two islands: "According to Rong Fanyu, I can't be sure where the ship is exactly, but it's probably around these two. We have to go and check it out."

Han Jianshu nodded slightly, then pointed to one of the locations Gu Rong had indicated: "Okay, let's go take a look first."

Gu Rong looked at the island he was pointing to, a rather remote one, and glanced at him with a somewhat strange look.

However, considering everything that had happened recently, Han Jianshu seemed to know everything about it and hadn't harmed them. In fact, he seemed to know more than she did...

Gu Rong thought to herself, then nodded and said, "Okay, let's go to this place as you said."

Once the direction was determined, Han Jianshu sat at the stern and steered the boat, and the two headed towards the agreed-upon location.

Although they were some distance from the shore, the slight sound of the boat starting up still reached the shore.

People on the shore heard the commotion and looked in the direction from which the sound came, only to find that Gu Rong and the other person had long since run away, leaving nothing but the azure sea.

The leader stared uneasily at the direction from which the sound came, then turned to the person behind him and said, "Go and ask if there was anything unusual just now, if anyone came by?"

"Yes," the man said, running back shortly after leaving. He addressed the leader, "Boss, I just checked the surroundings and there was no sound or anyone in sight. Did you discover something?"

The leader pointed in the direction from which the sound had come: "There was a strange sound over there just now, didn't you hear it?"

“I heard it, but it’s normal to hear all sorts of sounds in the sea,” the man said, looking at the pitch-black sea and smiling at the leader. “It’s so late at night, there’s not a single light. If it’s not an old sailor, he’s going to die. They’re not that stupid.”

The leader agreed with him; this was the ocean, not some small ditch, and trying to cross in the dark would be suicide.

The leader nodded slightly, indicating, "Okay, go and keep an eye on things. Make sure to grab anyone who comes over and question them thoroughly."

"Yes, I'll arrange it right away," the man said as he left, while the leader remained standing, still staring at the spot where the commotion had just occurred.

Gu Rong and Han Jianshu had already run far away, and in no time at all, they arrived at the designated island.

The two looked at the island from afar, where there seemed to be faint firelight, and through the firelight, they could see the outline of a ship.
