Rong Xin looked around, intending to look for Gu Qiang, but she didn't see him on the bed.
Gu Rong could tell what she was thinking just by looking at her, so she turned on the flashlight she had just used and shone it directly on the person who was rummaging through things.
When the light shone on the other person, Gu Qiang was also startled.
Looking at that familiar figure, Gu Rong asked, "Dad, what are you doing so late at night? And you've made such a mess of the house, we thought a thief had broken in."
Gu Qiang squinted at the sudden light, and when he heard Rong Xin and Gu Rong's words, a look of panic flashed across his face. He didn't understand why the two of them had woken up.
But she quickly calmed down and forced herself to remain composed, saying, "I... I'm looking for something important that I put down before."
