Chapter 29 Slander

Gu Rong stood at the courtyard gate, staring at Han Yanru's back: "Axi, according to what's written in the book, this shouldn't be her normal life."

Later, because Aunt Yihua fell ill, Liu Daxue refused to pay for her treatment, which led to Aunt Yihua's death. Sister Xinyi and her brother then targeted them, wanting to seek justice, thus setting the stage for the subsequent plot.

Why do I feel like Han Yanru is more like the villain than me? Did fate give me the wrong script?

Axi: "Master, this world is already based on real events. If even one thing changes, the story will naturally be different."

Furthermore, didn't you notice that Han Yanru in the book was afraid of over-exploitation and disrupting the ecological balance, so she only went to the mountain once every now and then? In reality, however, she went there every day whenever she was in the village.

The book only describes a part of life, and most of it is not included. You cannot judge real life based on the plot of the book.

Although she is the protagonist in the book, as the world becomes more realistic and everyone is a protagonist, her halo disappears due to overuse, and naturally a new one will fill the void. She will no longer be the world's favorite.

There are some things that A-Xi can't explain too clearly. Whether Gu Rong can understand them depends on her own understanding.

However, judging from Gu Rong's words, it was clear that she did not understand.

“You’re right. Then I can be the bad guy without worry. You can leave now and keep an eye on things over there,” Gu Rong waved and went into the courtyard to continue helping.

She had been in Hanjiacun for a month, helping with the wedding preparations. Aside from occasionally causing some trouble for Han Yanru, she left the rest of the Han family alone.

But some people, even if she doesn't go looking for trouble with them, they'll cause her trouble.

On her wedding day, she thought she had taken precautions against the Han family, but another group showed up unexpectedly.

Gu Xing and Han Xinyi had just bid farewell to their parents and elders before leaving home.

Just as they reached the gate of the Han family's house, a fool ran out and ran towards Han Xinyi, shouting as he ran, "Wife, wife, this is my wife, wife."

Gu Rong looked at the newcomer, her gaze sweeping over Han Yanru's smug face.

With a slight frown, before anyone could react and just as the fool was about to hug Han Xinyi, Gu Rong delivered a flying kick, sending him flying several meters away.

Then he looked at the educated youth compound and said to the few people who were close to his brother: "Comrades, please help tie him up. After the wedding, please help us take him to the police station this afternoon."

Seeing the man who had been pinned down trying to reach back, Chu Jianshu quickly stepped forward and grabbed him.

Qi Jinhua, who had been hiding in the background, was thinking that if her son succeeded, she would get another daughter-in-law for free.

Upon hearing that their son was to be taken to the police station, they immediately pushed their way out from behind.

Seeing his son being pinned to the ground and screaming in pain, he yelled at the crowd, "Stop! Stop! You're hurting my son! If he's injured, you'll have to pay for it!"

And my son is right, that little bitch is my daughter-in-law. When she fell into the water, my son saw her...

Before she could finish speaking, Gu Rong stepped forward and slapped her several times, then pinned her to the ground: "What you say doesn't count for anything. She's my sister-in-law, and I've decided she is."

You and your stupid son slandered my sister-in-law's innocence and ruined my brother's wedding. No matter who sent you, I'm not done with you yet.

Even if I don't send you in, if you and your son dare to say anything out of line, I'll beat you every time I hear it. If you don't believe me, go ask Gu Jiazhen at the educated youth compound and see if I dare to do it.

After saying that, he turned to the aunt who was helping out and said, "Auntie, come and lend a hand. After the wedding, I'm going to take this mother and son to the police station. I'd appreciate it if you could all be witnesses."

It was springtime, and the clothes I was wearing weren't thin, so they wouldn't be see-through even if I fell into the water.

Just as Gu Xing had pulled the person from the water, the villagers appeared. Han Xinyi's clothes were intact.

In fact, Gu Xing was so worried that Han Xinyi might be exposed that he even put his own coat on her, so there was no chance of her being seen at all.

Judging from the sight of this mother and son, they were clearly here to cause trouble. If the groom believed them and the marriage fell through, and if this incident spread to several villages, Han Xinyi would have no choice but to marry the idiot.

No one expected that Gu Rong, who looked so gentle and weak, was actually quite skilled and didn't hesitate to hit people.

However, everyone agreed with what the other party said and said they would testify for him.

"Don't worry, Gu Zhiqing. We all know what happened back then, and we'll be your witnesses."

"That's right. I don't know which village they came from, but they dared to cause trouble in Hanjia Village. They don't respect us villagers at all. This matter is definitely not over today."

........

Their back-and-forth banter terrified Qi Jinhua, who was being held down. She didn't want to go to the police station; she didn't want to die.

Even if she dies, it doesn't matter, but Baodan is the lifeblood of her family and is responsible for carrying on the family line. He can't die with her.

Qi Jinhua looked around in fright, and when her gaze fell on Han Yanru, she looked at her as if she had seen a savior: "Yanru, save us, save us, it's you..."

When the other party called her name, Han Yanru panicked: "Shut up! You came to our village and slandered my sister's innocence. Sending you to the police station is the least you can do, but..."

Han Yanru turned to the other villagers, looking arrogant: "Uncles and aunts, Li Baodan is a fool. You can't believe what he says."

He's been single for so many years, probably because he saw Sister Xinyi and fell in love with her. When he heard that Sister Xinyi was getting married, he rushed over.

Aunt Qi has raised her child all these years with great difficulty. This time, she probably did it for her son's sake. They didn't mean it.

She only got a few words said to her, and Xinyi didn't suffer any loss. Sending someone to the police station with just a few words was just a waste of the police officers' time.
