"What can you do?" What can you do about this? You can't use magic to defeat magic! Of course, you have to move, the farther the better.
"Let's eat." Shen Chengyi put a piece of meat in Su Yuehua's lunch box and changed the subject directly.
In that era, without mobile phones and the Internet, it was a bit awkward for the two of them to sit in the room and stare at each other after dinner.
It was impossible to go to bed so early, Su Yuehua couldn’t help but look at Shen Chengyi, but met his eyes.
She bit her red lips lightly and tried to find a topic to talk about: "Chen Chengyi, didn't you promise me before that you would teach me calligraphy? Don't forget it."
"I'll teach you now. I was packing up just now and saw Gao Chunhai moving all the things I used to practice calligraphy from the dormitory." As he said that, Shen Chengyi stood up from the chair and walked towards the small room.
Su Yuehua just wanted to find a topic to avoid embarrassment between the two of them, but she didn't expect Shen Chengyi to agree so readily.
She had no choice but to stand up.
By the time she dawdled and walked to the small room, Shen Chengyi had already poured the ink.
He took out a newspaper and spread it on the desk. He picked up a pen and wrote a traditional Chinese character "永". He looked up at Su Yuehua and asked, "Do you understand?"
Su Yuehua was about to nod but changed her head. If she showed that she learned quickly, would it arouse Shen Chengyi's suspicion?
Chen Chengyi had no idea of her little thoughts. Seeing her standing there in a daze, he thought she didn't even know how to hold a pen! He patiently demonstrated to her, "Look at my hand, put the brush between the middle finger and the ring finger, and then press the side of the pen with your thumb, just like I do, you try it."
He handed the brush over directly, and seeing Su Yuehua holding the brush tightly, he corrected her, "Be gentle, don't use too much force, your index finger should be placed naturally on the other side of the brush, and your little finger should be placed under your ring finger, don't let it move around."
"Yes, that's it. Write it for me."
Su Yuehua glanced at Shen Chengyi guiltily. If she wrote, it would be exposed. After all, her handwriting was different from the original owner's, and she had learned calligraphy for many years since she was a child. How could she write this word to fool people?
Yes! You can learn to shake your hands like Wu Laoer next door.
Su Yuehua held the brush with trembling hands and wrote a traditional Chinese character "永" on a blank space on the newspaper.
After finishing writing, Su Yuehua became more and more satisfied the more she looked at it. It would take at least ten years of cerebral thrombosis to write such perfect handwriting as hers.
Shen Chengyi looked at the words she wrote, sighed helplessly, held her weak and boneless little hand with his big hand, and said in a deep voice: "Don't shake your hand, I will help you write."
Su Yuehua was held in her arms, and her heartbeat accelerated as his wrist guided her.
She could feel the warmth of his palms and chest, the heat seemed to penetrate her skin and make her cheeks hot.
Shen Chengyi stiffened his body, trying to keep a certain distance from her, and concentrated on explaining each stroke of the brush.
But the hair of the person in his arms had a faint fragrance, which brushed across his cheek and rushed into his nostrils, making him straighten his back and tense all the muscles in his body.
"Chen Chengyi, I've learned it. I'll practice it myself." Su Yuehua felt that the posture of the two was too ambiguous. As soon as she turned around, her head hit Shen Chengyi's chin.
Her creamy face instantly turned red, her almond eyes shy, "Are you okay?"
"I'm fine." Shen Chengyi's tight mouth moved, obviously hurt by the collision.
The room suddenly became quiet again, and they could hear each other's breathing.
Su Yuehua lowered her eyes, feeling so embarrassed that she wanted to dig a hole to crawl into. She mustered up the courage to speak: "I..."
"You..." The two of them spoke at the same time, and the atmosphere became cold again.
Shen Chengyi left home to join the army at the age of seventeen. He usually hung out with a bunch of grown men and had no experience in getting along with girls.
He was not a talkative person and didn't know what to say.
The sound of children being beaten next door broke the awkwardness between the two.
"It's already so late, and you still remember to come back. You don't do your homework all day, but just play around. I'm going to beat you up today."
Now Su Yuehua didn't dare to think about how exciting life would be in the family compound in the future. She forced a smile and said, "The kids next door are beating. I'm a little tired, so I won't learn today."
“Okay, you should rest early.” Shen Chengyi added again when Su Yuehua walked out of the room, “When we have children in the future, I will definitely teach them well.”
The sound was neither loud nor soft, just enough to reach Su Yuehua's ears, but it forced her to consider a practical issue.
It is undeniable that Shen Chengyi would be a good father, but she doesn't want to have a baby so soon! What's more, their relationship is not yet mature enough to have a baby.
The more Su Yuehua thought about it, the more nervous she became. She walked back to the bedroom and was about to lock the door, but then she thought again, she had already married Shen Chengyi, so would it be bad to just lock him out of the house?
Just as she was struggling repeatedly, Shen Chengyi's voice came from the room, "I will sleep in the study today, you should go to bed early."
Su Yuehua lay by the door and listened to Shen Chengyi's movements until the door of the next room was closed, then she ran out to wash.
The next morning, Su Yuehua was sound asleep when she was awakened by the sound of a horn. She opened her eyes lazily, looked at her watch and found it was only six o'clock. She covered her head with the quilt and muttered, "It's only six o'clock, why are you blowing a horn? Can't I sleep anymore?"
She turned over and fell asleep again.
When she opened her eyes again, it was already ten o'clock.
She stretched and was about to get up when she heard a knock on the door.
“Bang, bang.”
"Chen Chengyi." She called out, thinking that Shen Chengyi had forgotten to bring his keys when he went out! She went to open the door in her pajamas.
