Chapter 1 Traveling Through Time

Gu Chun grew up without a father or mother and lived with various relatives until he went to college.

After graduating from university, she worked as a designer at a top clothing company and thought she would reach the peak of her life.

As a result, on the bus, while trying to save a child who was being held hostage by robbers, she was stabbed and died on the spot.

Before his death, Gu Chun seemed to hear a mechanical voice:

"In view of your good deeds, I will give you a chance to live again."

"Sister, wuwuwu, sister, please don't die, wuwuwu."

Gu Chun woke up with a splitting headache after hearing a burst of crying. When he opened his eyes, he saw an old house with poor lighting, seemingly without any lights on. There were also several children crying loudly around.

Having just received the memories, Gu Chun knew that these were the brothers and sisters of his original body.

The original owner of this body was also named Gu Chun, 18 years old, and had just graduated from high school. His parents died in a fire while trying to save the factory's property, leaving behind five siblings.

My second brother Gu Xia is fourteen years old and is in junior high school.

The third sister, Gu Qiu, is twelve years old and is an elementary school student.

My fourth sister, Gu Dong, is five years old and hasn’t started kindergarten yet.

My little brother Xiaobao is less than one year old and is still a baby.

Faced with the sudden misfortune, the original body died of excessive grief, and then Gu Chun came in.

When I woke up, everything was black. Both my parents were dead. I had two younger brothers and two younger sisters. My youngest brother was still a baby who couldn't talk or walk. The whole family lived in a large compound where people lived together. How difficult it must have been.

But on second thought, this identity also has its advantages, that is, in the 1970s, her status as an orphan means she doesn't have to go to the countryside.

When she had read a period novel in which the heroine went to the countryside, Gu Chun felt that if she traveled back in time, she would definitely not survive more than half an episode. Although she was an orphan, she grew up in the city and did not know how to farm at all.

She is now 18 years old and an adult, and according to the rules of this era, she can take over her parents' work.

With a job, a family, and a pension, Gu Chun believes he can live a good life.

Cheercing herself up, she sat up and touched Gu Dong who was crying loudly.

"Dong'er, Dong'er, don't cry, sister is fine."

The fourth child, Gu Dong, stopped crying immediately, stared with his big eyes, touched Gu Chun's face, and found that his eldest sister's face had become warm again, so he smiled.

"Big sis, you're okay! You're okay!"

"Yes, sister is fine, don't cry. And you all, don't be sad. Sister has thought it through. Without parents in the future, sister will raise you. Don't worry." Gu Chun looked at the group of little kids and touched their heads one by one to comfort them.

The second brother Gu Xia and the third sister Gu Qiu are both relatively introverted. When they heard this, they just pursed their lips and said nothing, but it can be seen that their brows relaxed a lot.

At this time, Gu Chun heard a very faint cry, like a kitten, which sounded heartbreaking.

Looking over, I saw my little brother, nicknamed Xiaobao. Because his parents passed away suddenly, he hadn't been given a formal name yet.

Xiaobao was born prematurely and was already quite weak. His older siblings were too busy grieving over the passing of his parents to pay him any attention. Now he lay in bed, sobbing faintly.

Gu Chun quickly picked him up. Perhaps it was her body's memory, her posture of holding the child was very standard, but the child was still crying and his mouth was moving.

"Brother must be hungry, sister, but mom is gone, who will feed him?" Gu Qiu sighed.

Yes, his mother passed away and his brother was still so weak. Gu Chun was really worried that he wouldn’t be able to support this kid.

"Let's cook some rice porridge for him first. I'll find a way to buy some milk powder for Xiaobao." Gu Chun frowned, thinking about how much money was left at home.

Before my parents passed away, my younger brother was in poor health and had to stay in the hospital for a long time before we brought him home. Our savings were almost used up.

There are still five yuan and eighty cents left. Today happens to be the day when my parents' factory pays salaries. My father is a technician in the factory and earns 50 yuan a month. My mother is a female worker in the workshop and earns 30 yuan a month. That means I can still get 80 yuan this month plus some bills.

I don’t know how much milk powder costs, but you can imagine that milk powder was a rare commodity in that era. It was not only difficult to buy but also not cheap.

There are four children to support in this family now. Gu Chun thought that the factory leaders should send the wages tomorrow, and then they can talk about compensation. She has to strive for more benefits for this family.
