Gu Xia Extra 18: Gu Jiajia

Now that it is convenient to go down the mountain, Gu Xia doesn't plan to live on the mountain anymore.

They played with Liu Jiajia for a while, watched her finish her homework, and then went down the mountain to the guesthouse together.

The conditions here are not good, but Linda has been to Africa and there is nothing she cannot accept.

Before going up the mountain the next day, Linda took Gu Xia to the mall to buy something for Liu Jiajia.

When I walked to the door of Liu's house, I heard Liu Jiajia crying.

The two looked at each other and hurried over. Before they got close, they heard a boy's voice saying, "Give me the chocolate quickly."

Liu Jiajia held it tightly and refused to let go: "I've already given you one piece, this is all I have left, I won't give it to you."

"Little girl, you live in my house and eat and drink for free, so you have to give me what I ask you to give."

Linda didn't understand, but she could tell that the little boy was bullying Jia Jia just like those annoying classmates of hers when she was a child.

Gu Xia has already figured out who the other person is.

As soon as the two of them walked over, the little boy ran away.

Liu Jiajia's face was covered with tears. When she saw Gu Xia's Linda, she quickly wiped them with her sleeve.

Today is Sunday and she doesn't have to go to school, so she is wearing an old dress with her trouser legs a little too short.

Linda squatted down, took out a handkerchief to wipe her face, and asked her, "Why did that little boy bully you?"

Liu Jiajia said: "That's my brother, he wants my chocolate."

Yesterday Gu Xia gave her a small box containing ten chocolates.

She shared it with someone else, and it was the last piece…

When Linda heard that it was her brother, she understood their relationship and that he must be her uncle's son.

She opened the chocolate and stuffed it into Jia Jia's mouth: "Eat it, I brought you a lot of delicious food, no need to save it."

Jia Jia ate chocolate with a sweet smile on her face.

The two of them took Jia Jia around the village and visited several patients that Gu Xia had seen before.

Many elderly people would sigh when they saw Jia Jia and say that the child had a hard life.

Gu Xia didn't like this word. Jia Jia was so smart, she should have a good life instead of being described as having a "miserable life" as they always said.

The adults thought that the child didn’t understand, but in fact Liu Jiajia already knew what it meant.

When she chatted with Gu Xia, she would also say that this was fate.

Linda and Gu Xia were happy when they came, but were both worried when they left.

"Gu, what are you thinking about? Can you tell me?"

Gu Xia replied: "Linda, I want to help Liu Jiajia, but I don't know how to do it."

His sister owns a company and can donate money to the village to build roads and primary schools, but Liu Jiajia's difficulties do not end there.

She deserves a better life.

Linda stopped and looked at him and said, "I have something to tell you, too."

"What?"

"I wonder if we can have Jia Jia as our daughter?"

"I mean, adoption."

Gu Xia was stunned: "You mean adoption?"

"Well, Gu, I think I must, I want Jia Jia to be my daughter."

Liu Jiajia is the same as her when she was a child, even more pitiful than her. Linda thought about it for a whole day, and the idea kept lingering in her mind.

Gu Xia never thought of such a possibility.

"I need time to think about it."

Linda wanted to adopt Jiajia in her own name, but she was a foreigner and the required procedures were complicated.

They wanted to take Jia Jia with them this time, so the last name registered was Gu Xia's.

The adoption procedures at this time were not difficult to handle. Gu Xia just had to go to the police station to register and change Liu Jiajia's household registration to his own name.

After asking for her opinion, we decided not to change her name, but only her surname. From then on, she was called Gu Jiajia.

Jia Jia's uncle and aunt did not ask for money, but only asked them to take good care of the child.

They actually did their best for Jia Jia, but their family was poor and couldn't provide her with a good life.

Moreover, they also have their own children, so they can only try their best to provide Jia Jia with food.

When leaving, Jia Jia's aunt cried. The child was raised in her home. Although she didn't treat her as well as her own children, she still had feelings for the child.

Jiajia's brother chased their car, crying and saying, "I won't take your chocolate anymore, sister. Come back."

Jia Jia's tears kept falling, and she shouted to the back: "Brother, I will come back to see you."

Linda hugged her and said, "Don't be sad. You can come back to see them later."

Gu Xia said the same thing.

Gu Jiajia nodded: "I understand, Dr. Gu, Sister Linda."

After saying that, he felt that it was not right, because she was already their child.

He glanced at Gu Xia timidly, even more reserved than when they first met.

Gu Xia smiled and said, "You are our child now, what should you call us?"

Jia Jia smiled shyly and called softly, "Dad, Mom."

Linda hugged her and was very happy: "Jia Jia, my little baby."

And kissed her forehead.

It was a sweet and fragrant kiss. Jia Jia had never been so close to her elders before.

Now I know, this is what it feels like to have a mother...

And Dad, he didn't kiss Jiajia. He told Jiajia that because she was grown up, neither Dad nor other boys could kiss her.

Jia Jia nodded. Her father allowed her to follow his household registration, and they would be a family from now on. Even if he didn’t kiss her, she could feel that her father loved her.

The adoption of Jia Jia was an accident. Gu Xia just called home to tell Gu Chun and the others, and then continued traveling.

Both of them are very casual and go wherever they want.

Gu Xia took out a map and asked Jia Jia to point wherever she pointed.
