Chapter 121 Home 1 (1/2)

Chapter 121: The Family 1

Su Tao saw her father leading He Yanzhi upstairs, and knew that this was a special step for her father to go down. He turned to He Chuan and said with a smile: "Let's go upstairs."

After going up to the third floor and walking through the long corridor, a woman in an apron and holding a spatula poked her head out and greeted Su's father: "Old Su, are you off work?"

Seeing Father Su holding the little girl, before he could ask, he saw Su Tao behind him. He was a little surprised and didn't dare to recognize him, "Is this Tao Tao? You are here?"

Su Tao searched his mind for the person's information and greeted him with a smile, "Oh, yes, I'm here. Aunt Wang, are you cooking?"

"Yes, come and go. You don't know how much your parents miss you. You are the only child and they have found a job for you. Why can't you just decide where to go to the countryside?" Aunt Wang grumbled while cooking by the window.

"I was ignorant before. Aunt Wang, I'm going to go now. We can talk again when we have time."

"Grandma, come and visit us when you have time." Aunt Wang looked at the departing figure in surprise. Su Taotao was originally beautiful, and this building and even this area were famous for their beauty.

But before, Su Taotao gave people the impression that she was beautiful but soulless and had a spoiled personality. The neighbors around her were not very likable and only greeted her out of respect for Su's father.

But this time, seeing Su Tao, it was breathtakingly beautiful, brimming with a vibrant, fresh air, like willow trees in March, a gentle spring breeze, making one feel both comfortable and at home.

Aunt Wang sighed inwardly, "What a beauty! Most people who come back from the countryside have the dark, dry, weathered faces of working people. But Su Tao is becoming more and more beautiful, as if she's been there to recuperate. Her creamy complexion and slender fingers don't look like someone who's been sent to the countryside to work."

Aunt Wang sighed as she watched the tall man following behind Su Tao, a gossipy look in her eyes. "Who is this?" she asked. "He's really handsome, but a little cold."

It was cooking time, and people kept greeting him as he walked along. It would probably not be long before the whole building knew that Su Tao was coming.

Everyone who had seen Su Tao was speculating about the man behind her. There was a rumor circulating that Su Tao had been chasing a man to the countryside, and it was unclear whether it was true or not. Could this man be the one she had pursued? Had she succeeded? Su Tao had been beautiful since she was a child, so who could she not have pursued? As the saying goes, when it comes to love, a man chasing a woman is like a mountain, and a woman chasing a man is like a veil.

Su Tao didn't care about everyone's guesses, she just wanted to go to the temple quickly to rest.

Su Tao walked down the corridor and stopped in front of the kitchen window of his own home. He looked at the busy figure inside and cried, "Mom, I'm here."

Mother Su heard the familiar voice that had echoed in her dreams countless times and suddenly turned to look out the window. The dishes in her hands fell to the ground and rolled all over the floor. "Tao Tao...", then turned around and rushed out of the kitchen excitedly.

Su Tao also hurried across the kitchen corridor, entered the door and ran to the living room, hugging Su's mother tightly, tears rolling down his face like pearls, "Mom, I miss you."

Su's mother also burst into tears. She gently hit Su Tao and said, "You child, you just left without even wanting me. I miss you too."

"Mom, I won't do that again. I was ignorant before, but this time I'm coming and I won't leave. I'll be with you every day." Su Tao wiped away her tears and said coquettishly.

When Su's mother heard Su Tao's words, she burst into laughter and said, "That's very touching." She also felt that her daughter had indeed grown up and become more sensible after going to the countryside this time.
