Chapter 149 Decoration (2/2)

"Hey, how about I take you to my shop now? It's not far from here, only about ten minutes away by car." Su Tao suggested.

"Okay, let's get started now." The master was a little impatient. He wanted to finish the inspection earlier so that he could start earlier.

"Then you go ahead. I'll take Master to the factory when we get back," He Chuan said. He wouldn't go with her. Su Tao was always opinionated; it was her own shop, so she could make her own decisions. He stayed home to buy some vegetables so they could cook. Otherwise, they would both be busy all day and come back without food.

Su Tao brought Master Gong to his shop and said, "This is it."

Master Gong took a few steps and roughly measured the area of the house. He said, "The house is about 90 square meters, with three rooms and a living room."

Su Tao nodded and said, "Yes, but I'm using it as a shop, so I don't need so many rooms. Master, can you tell me how to modify it? Are there any non-supporting walls that can be opened up?"

After some discussion with Master Gong, Su Tao decided to keep the room at the back and open a window on the wall behind it to increase the light so that it could be used as a back kitchen.

As for connecting the other rooms, it is not a big problem. Now they are basically all living rooms, not the back-end buildings, and there is no support wall above them. If there is a need for support, just leave the support column, and there is no need for a whole supporting wall.

Since there were no ceramic tiles at that time, Su Yao's design was to scrape the wall with red putty, and connect the lower half of the wall with bare bricks, so that the craftsman could create some uneven ripples and retain the color of the bricks, which is somewhat like our modern decorative background walls.

The ground is first scraped with cement and then painted gray, so that the house looks bright and dirt-resistant.

Su Tao built a stove at the entrance of the store. He planned to serve fast food and place the food at the door to attract customers.

After the matter was discussed, it was almost noon. Su Tao originally wanted to ask the master to go to his house for dinner so that he and He Chuan could go to the factory together in the afternoon.

Master Gong refused to go no matter what. There was no choice, so Su Tao told him the address of the factory and made an appointment. In the afternoon, He Chuan went to the factory to meet him.

Su Tao did not go home, but went to Beijing Affiliated Middle School to pick up He Yan after school. Looking at the time, she should arrive at school just as school was over.

Su Tao was standing at the school gate when he saw He Yanzhi coming out from a distance, with two little students beside her, talking and laughing.

"Sister Taotao~" He Yanzhi was used to calling her Sister Taotao, and often couldn't change to calling her sister-in-law for a while.

"Is this your new friend?" Su Tao looked at He Yanzhi and her friends with a smile.

"Yeah." He Yanzhi introduced her two new friends to Su Tao.

Su Tao was very happy to see He Yanzhi quickly integrate into the new collective life. He was worried that she would not be able to adapt and be excluded before, but now seeing that she made good friends so quickly, Su Tao was relieved.

After Su Tao took He Yanzhi and said goodbye to the two children, they returned home and He Chuan had already cooked the meal.

While eating, Su Tao briefly told He Chuan about the store and informed him of the time and place he had agreed with the master in the afternoon.

"Okay, I'll go talk to Master Gong in detail this afternoon." He Chuan nodded to show that he understood.

"Hey, after you finish discussing this, you can ask the master to calculate a detailed cost breakdown to see how much it will cost in total?"

"Okay, no problem." He Chuan responded while cleaning up the dishes.
