Chapter 154 Moving (2/2)

Early the next morning, He Chuan borrowed a car from his uncle's house and drove it back by himself.

Su Tao looked at the man in the driver's seat of the car in surprise, "You drove back?"

"Yeah." The man smiled and nodded. What's so difficult about this? It's similar to driving a truck. It's much simpler than driving a truck. He Chuan learned it after the guard taught him once or twice.

Su Tao sat in the passenger seat, watching the man skillfully drive the car. He couldn't help but wonder if the man was born with a good sense of vehicle operation. It took him a long time to learn how to drive an automatic car, and he failed the driver's license test several times before passing.

The two returned to Su's house. Su's father and mother had already packed all the things in cardboard boxes and cloth bags yesterday.

Su's mother pointed to the boxes and bags of various sizes in the hall and said, "That's basically it. We've sorted them out and put them all in the living room."

He Chuan took a look and although there weren't any big items, there were still a lot of odds and ends. He nodded and said, "Okay, then I'll take some downstairs first. When the car is full, I'll take it back first. I'll probably need to make two or three trips here."

After saying that, he picked up two bags of luggage in each hand and walked out of the house with steady steps.

As Su's mother and father were carrying some small items, they were occasionally stopped by a neighbor who asked, "Nan Yan, are you moving?"

Mother Su nodded with a smile and said, "Yes, I will move in with my daughter and son-in-law."

The neighbors were envious when they heard this. They had seen Su Tao getting married, but his parents were still living in their old house, and they thought their son-in-law disliked them and didn't want them to move in. But who knew that they had moved out the very next day?

"You Su Tao are so lucky. You found such an excellent husband and took you in to enjoy the happiness together." The neighbors spoke one after another.

"Yes, children and grandchildren have their own blessings, and you also have great blessings waiting for you." Su's mother has always been very popular and good at speaking. She makes the neighbors feel happy when she speaks.

He Chuan made two trips back and forth, finally bringing all the luggage back to the courtyard. The third time he came over to pick up his father-in-law, mother-in-law, and Su Tao.

“Come back when you have time~” Neighbors greeted and said goodbye one after another.

"Well, we'll come back and stay here occasionally," Su's mother said, choking up a bit. After all, they've lived here for so many years, they've developed some attachment to the place. A close neighbor is better than a distant relative, and although they occasionally have minor conflicts with these neighbors, they generally get along well.

Su's mother and father were also open-minded people. They had basically not moved out any of the big things in their house, and even left a set of bedding and other things in the closet. Occasionally, they would come back and stay for a while, giving Su Tao and He Chuan some time to be alone.

It was almost noon when the group returned home. He Yanzhi had already returned home. From that day on, she went to and from school by herself.

Su Tao looked at the time. It was a bit late to cook and eat. The little girl would take a nap after lunch and then go to class. So he said, "Let's cook noodles for lunch and cook rice in the afternoon."

He Yanzhi was the first to support him when she heard this, saying, "Okay, I want to have the mixed sauce noodles again."

Su Tao said with a smile: "Okay~".

Su's father and mother had no objections. They were happy with whatever they ate. Last time they ate the rice cooked by their daughter, it was really delicious. This time they tried the rice noodles she cooked, which were also good.

He Chuan was even less particular; he loved anything cooked by Su Tao.

The spiritual fields in Su Tao's space had already harvested a batch of grain and vegetables, and Su Tao put them all into the kitchen on the courtyard side. Usually, he would just buy some meat.

Su Tao skillfully made 6-7 servings of mixed noodles, even though there were only 5 of them. However, considering that He Chuan ate more, he cooked a little more.

After dinner, Su Tao and He Chuan had no place to go in the afternoon, so they went home to help Su's parents pack their moving luggage.
