Before Jiang Dashi and his men arrived at He Chuan's place to greet them, they had already gathered around to watch. They had already seen the light trucks before, and now most of them were gathered in front of the Dongfeng 7-type trucks.
Compared to older Jiefang trucks, the Dongfeng EQ140 is larger, can carry more, and features a more advanced design. Its wider windshield and shorter front end provide a wider view from the cab. Sidelights are located at an angle to either side of the main headlights, increasing the illuminated area during nighttime driving and facilitating cornering.
The soft furnishings in the cab have also been upgraded, the seats are more comfortable to sit on, and it is also equipped with a heater defrost device, making the cab warmer in winter.
The car does not require a long cranking process to start like the old Jiefang.
What makes the Dongfeng EQ140 even more appealing than older Jiefang trucks is its easier handling. The steering system utilizes a dual-live-pin steering lever design for high transmission efficiency, making steering effortless and eliminating steering wheel shake. Lower clutch and pedal forces make shifting easier, reducing driver fatigue.
He Chuan pointed at the truck and explained it to everyone one by one. Everyone was extremely excited and couldn't wait to drive it out and try it out.
"Okay, there will be plenty of opportunities to open it in the future. Everyone has been tired after sitting on the train for two days. Su Tao had just taken a break when it welcomed the next wave of evening passenger traffic, including workers after get off work and nearby residents.
The discounts on the second day are the biggest, and most people think that they can get a good deal and not miss out. Many people come again in the afternoon after having lunch.
All the dishes were sold out before 8 o'clock.
"No? Sold out?" The customer who came late and didn't buy anything shouted in despair.
"Yeah, how come it's sold out so early?" The person next to him who also didn't buy anything also started to shout.
"I heard people say it was delicious, so I came all the way here specially. I didn't expect that I still couldn't make it." A customer said breathlessly.
Su Tao hadn't anticipated such a boom in business. She'd prepared enough food for 500 people, which shouldn't have been too much, but it was incredibly popular. Word spread quickly, and the crowds kept coming. Discounts were also a big factor. State-owned restaurants rarely offer promotions these days, and everyone, convinced they'd be foolish not to take advantage of a good deal, rushed in to try out the new dishes, causing them to sell out early.
"So, the opening of our shop is thanks to all of you for your support. Those who came here today and didn't get to eat, come here tomorrow and bring this order, and you will all get a small portion of braised food for free." Su Tao handed out a small piece of paper with the shop's name stamped on it to the diners present.
The diners who didn't get to try the food felt much happier with their coupons. While the discounts weren't huge, getting an extra portion of the braised food was a welcome bonus. Everyone left the room contentedly, planning to return early tomorrow to try the food.
After the guests left, Su Tao asked everyone to clean up and go home.
"Dad, Mom, you've helped me all day. Go home early and rest. I'll be back later, and He Chuan will bring his friends over later." Su Tao turned around and gave instructions to Su's father and mother.
"Then we'll leave first, and you should come back early." After saying this, Su's father and mother walked hand in hand towards home.
