Chapter 20 Verification (2/2)

Wang Dazui was frightened by Su Tao and trembled. Thinking of going to jail, his last line of defense collapsed and he knelt down to beg for mercy: "I, I won't sue anymore. Please forgive me, I won't dare to do it again next time."

Wang Dazui looked at the two gods and demons in front of him, his temper long gone. He said honestly, "I heard it from others. Now I know it was a misunderstanding, so please let me go."

Su Tao continued to ask: "Who told you that?"

"I don't know her, but I know she is an educated youth, and I know everyone in the village." The woman was certain.

Su Tao silently muttered "educated youth?" in his heart, and glanced meaningfully at the group of educated youth. He chuckled and said, "Well, all the educated youth came with me today. You can see which educated youth said it?"

The woman looked towards the group of educated youth and saw a short figure trying to retreat in panic. She spotted him immediately, rushed into the crowd, grabbed Sun Chuanfang, dragged him out, and threw him to the ground.

"That's her! I just listened to what she said." Wang Dazui took the opportunity to kick her twice to vent his anger. "You little bitch, you're making up stories about others and even implicating me!"

Sun Chuanfang still pretended to be innocent, "I, what did I say?"

Wang Dazui pointed at Sun Chuanfang and sneered, "Didn't you say that you saw He Chuan kissing Su Taotao the day she fell into the water? And last night, you saw her stealing a man?"

The eyes of the people present suddenly changed. The woman's reputation was of paramount importance. Sun Chuanfang did such a slanderous thing and destroyed her reputation. It was really vicious.

Sun Chuanfang looked at everyone's disgusted eyes and immediately gave up. "Yes, but what I said is the truth. What have I done wrong?"

Sun Chuanfang excitedly pointed at He Chuan and said, "He Chuan, you rescued Su Tao from the water that day. Did you kiss him? I wasn't the only one who saw it."

Everyone looked at He Chuan, casting inquiring glances at him. Being singled out in public, He Chuan looked at Su Tao, a flash of panic flashing through his heart, "Yes, I admit that I kissed her, but I was saving her."

The crowd suddenly became agitated, and the villagers were talking among themselves.

He Chuan's sharp eyes swept over everyone present, and those who were originally whispering were shocked into silence.

"Oh, you said you kissed her to save someone. You thought it was a fairy tale. Who would believe it?" Sun Chuanfang's unique sharp duck voice sounded.

He Chuan's eyes never left Su Tao. He didn't care whether others believed it or not. He only cared whether Su Tao believed it or not, and whether he also thought he was a lustful villain.

Su Tao gave He Chuan a reassuring look, then stepped forward and said, "I believe it! I believe He Chuan is saving me." Then he turned to Sun Chuanfang and said calmly, "You don't know, that's because you're not well-informed. As far as I know, there's a method of CPR, which involves chest compressions followed by artificial respiration to help an unconscious person regain their heartbeat and breathing."

"Yes! I remember that He Chuan pressed your chest while blowing air into your mouth." One of the educated youth present at the time said in reply.

Su Tao looked towards He Chuan gratefully, his eyes as gentle as water. "I've never told you formally, thank you! Thank you for saving me."

At this time, the village chief received the news and came over slowly. He pushed through the crowd and squeezed to the front. "I can prove this. I brought the doctor from the health center with me and happened to see He Chuan giving Su Tao first aid. The doctor at the time also said that He Chuan's treatment method was very correct. If we had waited for them to arrive, it would have been too late and Su Tao might not have been saved."

The village chief said sullenly, "What are you still standing here looking at? You have nothing to do after eating."

Seeing the crowd was about to disperse, Sun Chuanfang was still making trouble, "You can't explain last night, right? I saw you go to He Chuan's house with my own eyes, and you stayed there for a long time before coming out. He Chuan sent you back and even hugged you."

Su Tao explained calmly, "So that day I felt someone was following me. It was you! I was going to give snails to He Chuan to thank him for saving my life. Hu Xiao and the others all knew this. It was too dark when I came back. Couldn't you have cared enough to give me a ride?"

"As for what you said about them hugging each other, that didn't happen. It was dark and you must be dazzled! Tsk tsk! Your eyesight is not good at such a young age. It's a disease and needs treatment." Anyway, no one saw it except Sun Chuanfang, so what can he do to her if she doesn't admit it.

"You...you..." Su Tao's casual words made Sun Chuanfang furious. She was choked and her speech was slurred. She couldn't catch her breath and fainted. She fell to the ground with her head tumbling, and no one helped her.
