Chapter 3 Defamation
Su Tao was completely oblivious to the women's whispers as they soon arrived at the resettlement site for the educated youth. It consisted of two large brick warehouses, with men on the left and women on the right, each living on one side.
"This is a temporary resettlement site for educated youth. The previous dormitories for educated youth have been in disrepair for many years. Due to the continuous heavy rains some time ago, most of the houses collapsed, and people are afraid to live in the remaining houses." Hu Xiao explained, pointing to the collapsed remains of the old house that could be vaguely seen in the distance.
Entering the courtyard, the sight was of lush green vegetable plots on either side. In the center, a stone table sat around which several female educated youth of varying ages were gathered, picking vegetables. As Su Tao and the others entered, the educated youth working in the courtyard had already noticed this beautiful woman. Even the male educated youth cooking in the distant greenhouse craned their necks to peer in. Many of the educated youth in the compound had spent years in the countryside. Some had arrived a few months earlier with He Xinyi and Shen Ziqian, while the rest had gone with Su Tao.
Hu Xiao pulled Su Tao forward and introduced him, "This is Su Taotao, Su Zhiqing. He fell into the water and was unconscious. He has only just recovered and is joining the team."
"Hello everyone! I am Su Taotao, please take care of me in the future!" Su Tao smiled at the educated youths, like a blooming peach blossom, making the hearts of the male educated youths flutter like deer.
The male educated youths all crowded forward to greet Su Tao. Just as Su Tao was politely exchanging pleasantries with the male educated youths, a sarcastic snort was heard, "A vixen is a vixen, all she knows how to do is seduce men!"
The atmosphere suddenly froze and became a little depressing.

The others were also deeply moved by this. With Su Tao's looks, her attire, and her demeanor, she would have been considered a lady from a prestigious family in ancient times. She could chase any man she wanted, so why would she have to go all the way to the countryside to chase him? She'd be willing to pay them back if they offered her money.
Sun Chuanfang's face flushed with anger. When she heard they were going to report her to the Public Security Bureau, she panicked and blurted out without a care in the world, "How dare you say it's not true? You were pestering He Xinyi's boyfriend, Shen Ziqian. He'd already fled to the countryside, and you still kept chasing him back!"
"I do know Shen Ziqian. Not only do I know him, I was even in a relationship with him," Su Tao said calmly. It was a fact that she knew Shen Ziqian, and even if she didn't say it, someone would definitely find out. Rather than hiding it now and having it exposed later, it was better to confess first and take control of the situation.
