Chapter 36 Moving to Hechuan's House
Early in the morning, when Su Tao opened her eyes, she saw Hu Xiao standing beside the bed, looking at her with a smile.
"What? Aren't you not going to work today and giving us a day off to move?" Su Tao thought Hu Xiao was making fun of her for getting up late.
"Change your clothes and go to the door to see who's here?" Su Tao looked at Hu Xiao's playful eyes and guessed in his heart, "Could it be He Chuan? No way? So early?"
Su Tao quickly put on his clothes and rushed to the door, only to find that familiar figure standing quietly not far away. He was wearing a clean and simple T-shirt and trousers, and his whole body exuded an unconcealable elegance. He was tall and straight, and even the coarse linen clothes could not conceal his captivating charm.
"Why are you here so early?" Su Tao said with a smile, his voice as melodious and clear as a lark.
"I got up early in the morning and couldn't sleep, so I came here early to wait." The man said a little awkwardly.
In fact, he was so happy that he couldn't sleep the whole night. He got up at dawn and came here to wait with his cart.
Su Tao quickly invited the man in. It was a cold morning, and he didn't know where to sit first, so he just stood outside the door waiting. Su Tao glanced at the man with a reproachful look. The man saw the blame in Su Tao's eyes and smiled foolishly, but he just wanted to wait outside the door so that she could see him as soon as she came out.
Su Tao held the man's slightly cold hand tightly, wanting to pass on his warmth to him.
Su Tao poured a cup of hot water for He Chuan and asked with concern: "Have you had breakfast?"
He Chuan wanted to say that he had eaten it, but when he saw Su Tao's fierce eyes sweeping over him, as if to say if you dare to lie, you will be punished, he had to tell the truth, "No."
He woke up in the morning, packed up, and rushed over, having no time for breakfast. Furthermore, living in the countryside was difficult, and it was common to eat only two meals a day. Many people skipped breakfast, eating only one meal at noon and one at night. During the most difficult times, He Chuan often went hungry after only eating one meal a day.
When Su Tao heard He Chuan's answer, he looked like he knew he hadn't eaten, and said helplessly: "Wait, I'll make you a bowl of noodles."
He Chuan sat on the stone bench in the yard and watched Su Tao busy in the greenhouse, kneading dough and making noodles. He Chuan didn't want to miss any of her.
Before long, two bowls of fragrant braised pork noodles were placed on the stone table. Su Tao pushed the larger portion in front of He Chuan, and the smaller portion was for Su Tao himself.
He Chuan looked at the noodles in front of him. They were white, tender, and smooth, and looked very chewy. A few slices of green vegetables floated in the noodle soup, and a few slices of braised meat were spread on top. Just looking at them made him hungry. Although he had eaten Su Tao's food several times, this was the first time he saw Su Tao making it himself.
He Chuan picked up the noodles and took a bite. The chewy and refreshing fruit, mixed with the salty and fragrant taste of the braised meat, was truly delicious. Even He Chuan, who didn't have a strong appetite, couldn't help but want to keep eating more.
Before he met her, he hadn't eaten white flour or meat for a long time, and he didn't care about it. But from now on, He Chuan tightened his grip on the chopsticks. He must give her a good life, not let her suffer, let her live in a good house forever, and eat white flour, refined rice, and meat every day. He must! He Chuan swore silently in his heart.
He Chuan ate all the noodles in the bowl in big mouthfuls.
"Ding, Favorability +200"
Seeing that He Chuan liked the food, Su Tao was very happy and started to eat his noodles in small bites.
