Chapter 53: Winemaking
There were so many things to buy that Su Tao helped He Chuan take some of them. Alas, it's a pity that the storage space can't be seen, otherwise it would be more convenient to fill it all with storage space.
After much difficulty, we finally reached the town entrance and loaded the items onto the tractor. Almost half of the tractor's space was filled with Su Tao's belongings.
"Wow, you bought so many things!" Even Uncle Wang, who had seen Su Tao's lavish spending, couldn't help but gasp. He'd helped Su Tao move goods before, and he knew she was well-off, generous, and a big spender. But this time, he was still shocked. There were so many things, mostly large items like quilts, which took up so much space that they looked so numerous.
"Hey, it's getting cold, so buy more supplies to get through the winter. You may not buy them often in the future. Uncle, please keep an eye on my things. I have something else to do and will be back soon." After Su Tao finished speaking, he pulled He Chuan to the town hall.
Uncle Wang looked at Su Tao's hurriedly leaving figure and shook his head. This girl was impetuous and they were old friends. He could agree to this matter.
Su Tao brought He Chuan to Aunt Liang's tailor shop. Although He Chuan was familiar with Jiang Dashi, he had never been to his mother's shop.
"Aunt Liang." Su Tao pushed the door open and greeted Aunt Liang with a smile.
"Hey, you're here. Wait for me." Aunt Liang rummaged through the cabinet next to her, took out something that looked like an account book, opened it, and handed it to Su Tao.
"This is the record of my clothing collection this month. Look, the profit is 80 yuan per day. If I give you four months, it will be 36 yuan. Do you think it is correct?" Aunt Liang pointed to the account book and calculated for Su Tao.
Su Tao took a quick glance, closed the account book, and said softly, "No need to look at it. I trust you." The amount was small, and Su Tao didn't want to hurt feelings over such a small matter. Even if there was something fishy, she was sure that the account book she could see would not reveal any problems. Moreover, He Chuan was currently doing business with Aunt Liang's son Jiang Dashi, so he still had some trust in Su Tao.
"I came here yesterday to ask you to make me some winter cotton-padded clothes." Su Tao handed the cloth and cotton to Aunt Liang. He then asked for a few pieces of paper, drew the pattern of the clothes on them, and noted some points to pay attention to before handing them to Aunt Liang.
Aunt Liang took a look and saw several styles of clothes, some for men, some for women, and one for older children. She seemed to be hesitant to speak.
Su Tao saw Aunt Liang's doubts and said, "After you help me finish it, these styles can be put in the store for production as new winter styles."
After hearing this, Aunt Liang burst into laughter and quickly responded, "Hey, great!"
After Su Tao finished talking with Aunt Liang, He Chuan spoke up, "Aunt Liang."
Only then did Aunt Liang notice that there was someone following Su Tao. It was none other than He Chuan, her son's friend and benefactor. Aunt Liang became even more enthusiastic. "Hey, He Chuan, why didn't you speak up earlier? Aunt Liang was so busy just now that I didn't see you. Come on, come sit down. We'll have dinner at Aunt Liang's house tomorrow. I'll call Dashi over later."
"No need, auntie. Su Taotao and I came here together. We'll leave after we're done. I've just met Dashi. He's busy, so don't disturb him." He Chuan said with a smile.
"You and Su Taotao came together? Who are you?" Aunt Liang looked puzzled. She really didn't notice that the two came together just now. She just thought they came in one after another.
"He Chuan is my boyfriend." Su Tao replied with a faint smile.
"Oh, why didn't you say so earlier? You're a family." Aunt Liang looked at the couple in surprise. The more she looked at them, the more they seemed to be a perfect match.
