Chapter 67 Date (2/2)

With a "click", the flash on the camera emitted a strong bright light, which made Su Tao's eyes blink. After taking the photo, the world was full of colorful lights.

"Very good, pick it up in two days. Do you need human coloring?" asked the photographer.

There are currently no color photos in China, and most photos are in black and white. Therefore, the art of coloring has emerged, with some art masters responsible for coloring.

Su Tao's lips were as red as blood, and she was wearing a red tweed coat, making her the perfect candidate for coloring. However, coloring would be expensive, so most people wouldn't choose it, given the high price of a photo. However, the photographer saw how impressive Su Tao was, and knew the photos would look great if they weren't colorized.

"How much does it cost to colorize a person's body?" Su Tao asked. She had seen some colored photos on the wall, and they were very beautiful. She couldn't help but feel moved.

"Colorization will cost an extra 1 yuan per picture." The photographer said carefully, fearing that Su Tao would think it was too expensive.

"Come on, print two 6-inch prints for me, both tinted." Su Tao thought the price was affordable for her current situation, and besides, she didn't take photos every day. She'd print two, one for Su Tao and one for He Chuan, so they could look at the photos when they couldn't see each other. It was really nice.

The photographer had unexpectedly encountered a wealthy client who developed two 6-inch prints at once and had them all tinted. This was almost equivalent to his daily turnover.

"Oh, that's right, that's right." The photographer quickly agreed.

After paying, He Chuan walked out of the photo studio, turned to Su Tao and asked with a smile, "Where else do you want to go?"

Su Tao looked up and thought for a moment, then said excitedly, "We still have some time, why don't we go to the movies?"

"Movies?" He hadn't really seen them much. His memories of movies were still from more than a decade ago, when his mother was still young and took him to see Monkey King: Havoc in Heaven. He hadn't been to see one since his mother passed away. The village sometimes had open-air movies. After the rain fell in the evening, the villagers liked to gather in the square at the village entrance to watch them, and He Yanzhi really enjoyed watching them.

"Let's go, let's go and see it together." Su Tao shook He Chuan's hand and said coquettishly.

"Well, go and see if you want." As long as he can do it, he will try his best to satisfy Su Tao.

"Hey~" Su Tao was as happy as a child. She felt that she and He Chuan were a bit like on a date today.

Arriving at the entrance of the cinema, He Chuan said, "I'll go queue up to buy tickets. You wait here for me."

While He Chuan was waiting in line, Su Tao went to the side and bought a bag of fried dumplings.

Su Tao saw He Chuan coming over and asked excitedly, "Have you bought anything? What movie do you want to show me?"

"Youth is like fire? What is it about?" Su Tao was a little confused. The title sounded like a youth love story.

"Well...I don't know either." He Chuan scratched his head. He hadn't seen it either.

The cinema was also two stories high, with a large red banner with a slogan hanging on the wall of the middle floor, and wavy red silk hanging below, with a large red ribbon tied on top. The chairs in the cinema were the kind with plastic flip-up seats.

The lights dimmed, and the movie began. The films of this era had a yellowish tint, and the picture quality had a hazy beauty, not as clear as later generations. Since it was just entertainment, it didn't really matter. The dim lights flickered, and the cinema at that time was more romantic than in later times.

Su Tao leaned against He Chuan, with his head leaning on the man's shoulder. He watched the movie with relish while peeling mushrooms, eating one himself and feeding one to He Chuan from time to time.

The movie was quite enjoyable to watch, but Su Tao originally thought it was a love story based on the title. In this day and age, one really can't have too many expectations. After a long while, he found out that it was about a struggle between the rolling mills of Jiangnan Iron and Steel Company due to technological innovation. It had nothing to do with love at all, but it was still quite enjoyable to watch.

It was already late after the movie, so He Chuan took Su Tao directly to the county bus station.

"Be careful on the way back." He Chuan warned seriously.

"Okay, I get it. I'm not a child." Su Tao muttered in a low voice.

He Chuan watched Su Tao's car disappear at the end of the road before he reluctantly withdrew his gaze and turned back to the direction of the transport team.
