He Chuan looked at Su Tao, who was as lively and beautiful as a flower, and all he wanted to say was stuck in his throat. How could he be so selfish? If she had better development and could leave the city earlier, what reason did he have to force her to stay?
He Chuan said in a gloomy tone: "No, I'm just a little tired."
Su Tao saw that he didn't look like he was bored at all, but he didn't want to say it, so Su Tao didn't ask any more questions.
"Then hurry up and put your things away, and come out to eat later."
"He." He Chuan responded in a low voice and walked towards the room with Li on his back.
Su Tao looked at He Chuan's figure and felt an indescribable loneliness, just like the fallen leaves in autumn, which revealed a sense of desolation and loneliness.
Su Tao's nose felt strangely sore. She didn't like the man like this, lifeless, like a walking corpse.
Su Tao followed closely.
As soon as the man entered the room and put his luggage down, he felt someone hugging him from behind.
"What's wrong with you? Don't tell me you're fine. Can't I see whether you are fine or not?" Su Tao's voice sounded worriedly and sternly.
The man stood motionless, allowing Su Tao to hug him from behind.
After a long silence, he thought it through. He had to face his fate sooner or later. Rather than waiting for a long time like a suspended death sentence, it would be better to find out now and give him a quick death blow.
He Chuan said in a hoarse voice: "Are you going to leave the city?"
"Xiancheng? Why do you ask that?" Su Tao asked in confusion.
"Didn't you ask your family to get you a place in the Workers, Peasants and Soldiers University so you can go to the city to study right away?" The man turned around and looked at Su Tao intently, his eyes bloodshot.
"Did you hear something outside? No, it must be a mistake made by the higher-ups. I have never applied for a place in the Workers, Peasants and Soldiers University. I have already made it clear to the branch secretary that I will not go." Su Tao said indifferently.
She only mentioned that there was a mistake in the quota, but did not say that it was the quota she gave up. Su Tao was worried that the man with a strong self-esteem would feel guilty.
"Really? You really aren't going?" There was a flash of astonishment in He Chuan's eyes, and his dull eyes regained their spirit. The moment he heard Su Tao say that he would not go, the man was like a stranded fish on the verge of death that was suddenly hit by a wave and pushed into the water to come back to life.
"Yes, really." Su Tao nodded with a smile.
"But, those villagers all said..." He Chuan said.
"What did you say? That I abandoned you, Fucheng?" Su Tao looked at the man with a playful expression.
He Chuan's face flushed, as if his heart was seen through. He felt a little embarrassed. He felt ashamed of his distrust of Su Tao.
"Don't listen to other people's nonsense in the future. If you have anything to say, just ask me directly." Su Tao glared at the man with a bit of a coquettish look. It turned out that the man's expression was because he had heard rumors from others. If she didn't ask him, he probably didn't know how long he would keep it in like this.
Su Tao looked up at He Chuan with her eyes raised, and put her arms around the man's neck. She leaned her head close to the man's chest, and her warm breath slowly sprayed on He Chuan's neck. She opened her red lips slightly, "I said, I want to go to college with you."
