Chapter 92: Hidden Truth (2/2)

Su Tao glanced at him amusedly. He thought, "You have some self-awareness." "That's what you want to say. After that, I'm leaving."

"Wait a minute, I have something else to say. I heard that you gave up your place at the Agricultural and Military University, right? Your name wasn't on the list posted yesterday, so I didn't know who gave you the place. After seeing the university you were admitted to, I started to speculate. If my guess is correct, your place was obtained by Bo Yi, because his military district is in the southwest." Shen Ziqian said with certainty.

"I know you are with He Chuan now. If you don't want to go and don't want to be involved with him, then you have to be careful. That man is a ruthless and cruel guy. He won't let you go so easily." Shen Ziqian looked at Su Tao deeply. If it weren't for that man's tricks, he wouldn't have withdrawn so easily.

"If he dares to hurt He Chuan, don't blame me for being rude." Su Tao frowned, narrowing her eyes slightly. A cold glint flashed in her narrow, phoenix-like eyes. Bo Yi, she didn't care if he was a childhood sweetheart or a military colonel. If he dared to use the same tactics against He Chuan, she would never let him go. After all, she was not Su Taotao in the original book, his "childhood sweetheart."

If he did anything to hurt He Chuan, she would exchange her high-tech thermal weapons in the system to kill him even if it cost her life.

Shen Ziqian stared blankly at Su Tao's fierce yet protective look. If he had been brave enough to tell her the truth, would she have protected him in the same way? Would they not have reached this point?

If he really asked Su Tao, Su Tao would probably reply to him, you are overthinking it, you can go wherever you want, but the round one should go away.

"Thank you for telling me this. If you have nothing else to say, I'm leaving." Su Tao turned and left without looking back.

-------------------------------------

Southwest Military Region, in a tropical rainforest in Yunnan.

"Colonel, this is the information you asked for." A soldier saluted and handed a document to the man in front of him.

"Well, put it on the table." The man, dressed in a well-fitting military uniform, sat in a reclining chair, his head lowered so his face couldn't be seen. One hand rested flat on the table, his fingers tapping the rosewood surface. His eyes were fixed on the document in front of him, but he hesitated to open it.

Finally, the man couldn't help but reach out and open the document in front of him. His fingers were slender, his bones were well-defined, and his nails were neatly trimmed without a trace of dirt, making him look elegant and noble.

The man slowly flipped through the documents, which recorded Su Tao's daily life after going to the countryside. His beautiful lips curved slightly. Finally, his gaze stopped at a photo of Su Tao. The girl in the photo was smiling brightly, dressed in red, as beautiful as a fairy in a painting. If Su Tao were there, she would have realized that this photo was the one she and He Chuan had taken at the county photo studio. She had never expected that there was another one in this man's hands.

The man's gaze shifted to the person next to the girl in the photo. A fierce look flashed across his eyes, and he opened his thin lips slightly: "Taotao, are you giving up the place I arranged for you just for this man?"

The man chuckled a few times, his fingers clenched in vain, and the photo on the side of He Chuan was creased. "You are so willful. Do you want me to go find you in person before you are willing to come back?"

"Someone come."

"Yes, Colonel, what are your instructions?" A soldier immediately opened the door and came in, asking respectfully.

"Prepare a car for me, I'm going on a long trip." The man stood up straight and said majestically.

"Yes, I'll arrange it right away." The soldier collected the order and turned to go out to carry it out.

The man then sat back in his chair and dialed the phone in front of him. "Hello, it's me, Bo Yi. I need to go on a long trip. The news of my departure can't get out. Please help me keep it a secret. I'll be back as soon as possible."

An exasperated voice came from the other end of the line, "Hey, Bo Yi, do you know how strict it is to leave your post without permission? What's so pressing that you have to leave?"

The man was silent for a while and replied, "Yes!" Ignoring the roar from the other end, he hung up the phone.
