Chapter 155 Zhou Rang's Sudden Indifference

There was deathly silence in the photo studio and no one spoke for a while.

"I don't agree. Why do you, the literary group, ask our photo studio to leave for no reason? If she leaves with you, what will happen to the customers of the photo studio who want to put on makeup?"

Master Kong said this in a calm and neither humble nor arrogant voice.

He started poaching people right in front of him. He really has no manners at all. Humph, as long as he doesn't agree, Su Nan can't leave.

"I'm sorry, I didn't think it through. I should have asked for your opinion first. Even though I asked Comrade Su, you are the leader after all." Chen Junping looked at Master Kong, bent slightly, and sounded quite apologetic.

Hearing this, Master Kong looked at many expressions, but he did not give up the idea in his mind.

Master Kong was silent for a moment before he slowly told us his plan: "You can hire Xiao Su, but who will bear the losses of the photo studio during her absence?"

Chen Junping was not stupid, so she immediately understood what Master Kong meant, and said with a smile, "Of course we will bear the responsibility."

The Cultural Group is wealthy and powerful, and the funding it allocates each month is far more than that of other departments. For them, bearing this amount of compensation is naturally a piece of cake.

So Su Nan just stood there in a daze, watching Master Kong and Chen Junping start discussing how to compensate, while Jiang Hongqin stood by and served tea and water.

No one asked for her opinion.

Well, in fact, she didn't want to refuse at all, and from what they said, they would give her a large sum of money as a "runner", which was really a big deal.

Just like that, Su Nan was arranged clearly by the two and would set off tomorrow to report to the Municipal Cultural Troupe with a letter of introduction.

Looking at the three-digit salary in the contract agreement, Su Nan almost drooled. This was a salary that required working for several months to get, but now he could get it easily by working for just a few days. Isn't it great?

But within two days, Su Nan realized that he had said this too early. Making money is not easy.

Of course, this is all later.

In the evening, Su Nan went to the supply and marketing cooperative to buy freshly roasted chestnuts, and then went home. When he arrived at the gate of the courtyard, he saw that it was pitch black inside and it was obvious that no one was at home.

Su Nan tilted her head in surprise. Zhou Rang hadn't come today. Usually, he would have come to cook dinner at this time, and would have picked her up if he was free. Could it be that the office was too busy today?

Forget it, how could a grown man get lost?

Because of the atmosphere in the photo studio today, Su Nan was in a particularly good mood. She went to the bedroom humming a ballad and began to remove her makeup and change clothes. When she finished these two things, Zhou Rang had not come yet, so she went to take a shower first.

When night fell completely, Su Nan, who was sitting in front of the fireplace in her pajamas and with her long hair loose, became panicked. She hurriedly took her coat, ran to the outside of the yard, and leaned against the gate to look out.

It was pitch black outside, with only a few rays of light coming from people's homes to illuminate the small world. The street was like a calm river, winding among the dense shadows of the trees. The rustling of leaves blown by the wind filled my ears, as if recalling the hustle and bustle of the day.

The street was empty and terribly quiet at this time. Su Nan swallowed and resisted the urge to run away. He stayed where he was, opened the gate, and leaned forward, trying to expand his field of vision.

After waiting for a while, there was still no one on the road they often walked on.

"Could something have happened?" Su Nan muttered quietly, his heart was in turmoil. He was very panicked and wanted to go out to Zhou Rang's workplace to ask him, but he was afraid of the dark road.

It was so late, if something happened to her while she was alone on the road, then there would be no one to help her.

Just when Su Nan was extremely conflicted, she suddenly heard the sound of branches being crushed beside her ears. She was so scared that she subconsciously ran a few steps forward and screamed.

"Nannan, what are you doing standing here?" A familiar voice sounded. Zhou Rang, dressed in black, stood by the door with a frown on his face.

Su Nan finally breathed a sigh of relief when she saw him. She walked up to Zhou Rang and was about to put her arms around his waist, but he dodged her.

"Why did you come just now? I was worried about you, so I waited for you here. That direction is opposite to where you work, right?" Su Nan glanced at his empty hand, silently took it back, then raised a smile and asked with concern.

Zhou Rang shook his head, explained in a low voice, and then went into the yard first: "Something happened, which delayed us."

Su Nan followed him into the yard and saw him close the gate and turn his back to her. A strange feeling flashed through her heart. She pursed her lips and wanted to say something, but in the end she did not ask.

Zhou Rang obviously didn't want to say more, so there was no point in her asking.

"Have you eaten?" Zhou Rang asked in a low voice after locking the gate. The lights were brighter now, and Su Nan could see that his face was full of fatigue, his eyelids drooped, and he looked even more listless.

"I've eaten." In fact, she didn't eat, but she didn't want to trouble him anymore. If she said she didn't eat, he would definitely make it for her.

"Yeah." Zhou Rang responded softly and nodded. He went to the room to get clothes, then went into the kitchen, picked up the hot water she had just left for him, and went directly into the bathroom.

He didn't say a word to her.

Su Nan stood in the yard, watching Zhou Rang finish this, his mind filled with only two words: "abnormal". He had never been like this before, so something must have gone wrong.

Even if he didn't want to say it, she didn't want to keep asking him under such circumstances and cause him more trouble.

What happened?

This question remained unanswered until the two of them lay together at night. Su Nan opened his eyes and looked at Zhou Rang's back as he lay on his side. After hesitating for a long time, he moved closer and hugged his waist.

But just as she put her hand on him, he grabbed it and let go of her hand. His low voice was particularly harsh in the darkness: "I'm tired, go to sleep, you have to go to work tomorrow."

Su Nan frowned, feeling a little uncomfortable. She was trying to find a way to comfort him, but he was still so cold. She snorted coldly.

"You didn't tell me what happened. What do you mean by giving me a cold shoulder? I don't want to be your punching bag. If there's someone out there who's making you angry, go find him."

After saying this, Su Nan's eyes couldn't help but turn red. She sniffed aggrievedly, put her hands over her eyes, and waited for a long time, but Zhou Rangqi didn't come over.

Su Nan put down his hand and glanced at Zhou Rang who was motionless, then turned over, imitated his movements, turned his back to him, and wiped his eyes stubbornly.

If you don’t want to coax me, then don’t coax me. Humph, I coax myself.

"Don't be angry, don't be angry, I'm ten years older than you are."

"He must have some difficulties. He was so kind to me before. I can't deny everything just because of this one thing."

"Give him a red bean paste bun tomorrow, that's all. Sweet things can make people happy, so I want to have one too."

"Zhou Rang, stop using cold violence against me..."

Before he finished speaking, Su Nan fell asleep. A tear slid down the corner of his eye and fell into the pillow, forming a small dot.
