Chapter 333: You Do It

Zhou Rang laughed out loud at Su Nan's amusement and then hung up the phone.

The next afternoon, Su Nan had no classes, so she took Feng Meng to the poor crew because the balding director needed Feng Meng to come to the rescue temporarily.

The director also promised Su Nan that if Feng Meng could complete this task excellently, he could sign a contract with her directly.

Su Nan and Feng Meng rushed to the crew, and the director immediately came forward and said, "You are finally here!"

Su Nan was stunned. Was the director so excited? What on earth had happened on the set?

"Are we late?" Feng Meng asked weakly from behind Su Nan. It shouldn't be, right? Nan Nan said we just need to be there before 5:30, but it's not even 4 o'clock yet.

"No, I'm here just in time." The director took a large stack of actor information and walked up to Feng Meng, "Come on, I'll introduce the plot and actor information to you, and you can see what kind of makeup and styling to give them."

After listening to what the director said, Feng Meng was confused for a moment. She was just a newcomer, how could she understand all this.

The director saw Feng Meng's concerns and then said, "You are not required to complete this independently. The makeup artist and costume designer of the crew will assist you."

Su Nan did not expect that the director would give Feng Meng such a difficult problem this time, but it is understandable that with pressure, Feng Meng will be more motivated.

"Ms. Feng, do you have any questions?" The director saw that Feng Meng had not spoken, and asked anxiously.

Su Nan gently pushed Feng Meng from behind, and Feng Meng came back to her senses from the shock. She asked with some embarrassment: "Um... Director, I'm sorry I was too shocked just now. Don't worry, I will definitely get back to work."

The director nodded with satisfaction, hoping that she could do what she said. After all, this industry was not so easy.

"Hey, let me tell you about the plot first." Then the director looked at Su Nan who was left aside by him, and said with a smile: "Miss Su, please go to the lounge first, have some tea and some snacks."

"Taiwan, please go and do your work first. Don't keep the actors waiting anxiously." Su Nan responded with a faint smile.

Su Nan looked at his watch. It was just four o'clock in the afternoon. It seemed that he might have to wait until midnight to get back.

The director called the costume designers, stylists, and makeup artists in the crew together for a meeting.

"This is Feng Meng, the new intern makeup artist and stylist. I hope we can get along well with each other in the future." The director first introduced Feng Meng to everyone, and then said enthusiastically: "Everyone introduce yourselves in turn."

Next, everyone stood up and told the newcomer Feng Meng their names and the jobs they were responsible for in the crew.

"Thank you, director, and all the seniors. I hope you can help and support me as a newcomer in the future. I will definitely adapt to the crew's work as soon as possible and try not to cause any trouble to everyone."

After some pleasantries, the director began to introduce the play, and then distributed the basic information of the actors to everyone, asking them to discuss with each other how to help the actors with their looks.

Because Feng Meng was a newcomer, she did not express any opinions on the work. Instead, she listened and learned more. She wrote down the parts she did not understand and studied them carefully when she returned.

Everyone expressed their opinions and there was no conclusion after a long debate. The director had been observing Feng Meng's every move and felt that she was a good talent, humble, polite and tactful.

Suddenly, the stylist and makeup artist had a disagreement and started arguing: "This movie is about the Republic of China. There is something wrong with your costume matching. When the movie is released, it will definitely attract a lot of criticism."

"What do you know? This is called art and contrast. You just need to take care of your makeup. You don't understand other aspects." The stylist looked at the makeup artist with disdain.

"There's something wrong with your look. How can I do your makeup? Our two jobs should complement each other. If we each do our own things, the actor's overall shape will look weird." The makeup artist still insisted on his own idea.

Feng Meng nodded, thinking that this was the key point and must be written down.

“The protagonist is just a little beggar in the early stage. You just need to smear some mud on him. No matter how advanced your makeup skills are, why do you care about my styling?” The stylist felt that the makeup artist’s work was too simple in the early stage and there was no need to discuss the overall styling issues with him.

The makeup artist thought that no details should be simplified just because of the protagonist's personal problems. The two of them could not reach an agreement for a while, and the work of the entire crew was delayed.

The director also watched the two people arguing calmly. After all, they had different opinions. After the whole movie was shot, not only would the effect be poor, but even the people would probably not buy into it.

Feng Meng saw that they were in a stalemate and that this would delay the filming progress. Suddenly, she had a good idea.

Feng Meng stepped forward and bowed deeply to the two of them. "Two seniors, please stop arguing. How about we think of a compromise and take the essence of your views and call a truce first?"

The makeup artist frowned: Is this newcomer crazy? He knows nothing and wants to cause trouble here.

The stylist rolled her eyes at Feng Meng: Is this girl still dreaming? What does she know? How dare she talk nonsense here?

"Feng Meng, you think you're pretty awesome, right? Then you'll be in charge of the actor's styling."

The stylist just stood by and waited to see Feng Mengchu make a fool of herself.

The makeup artist also crossed her arms and looked like she was watching a play.

Feng Meng's face froze and he felt extremely aggrieved. How come these two people became so united now?

But this is not surprising. After all, I am a newcomer, and I am facing these two professionals. It would be strange if they have any impression of me.

Feng Meng smiled and explained: "Why do you two seniors have to embarrass a junior like me? I just made a suggestion..."

Before Feng Meng finished speaking, the director standing next to her couldn't stand it anymore and said directly: "I think what the stylist said is right, Feng Meng, the styling of this character will be done by you!"

The three of them looked at the director in shock. The stylist and makeup artist came here just to teach Feng Meng a lesson, but they didn't expect that Feng Meng would directly snatch their jobs.

"director!"

"director!"

The two shouted in unison, but the director no longer wanted to give them a chance.

He said angrily, "Alright, this matter is settled. Feng Meng, you just style the actors according to your own ideas. I don't think anyone dares to say a word more!"

These guys all think they are good enough. If we don't teach them a lesson, they will become so arrogant. Do they really think that you can't shoot the movie if I leave?
