Chapter 128 Home (2/2)

Two hours later, the ship finally docked at the Nanfenggong pier.

He Xufeng gently woke Lin Qingmei up, "Qingmei, wake up, we're here."

Lin Qingmei opened her eyes in a daze. How could it be so fast? She felt like she had just closed her eyes for a while, and how come she was home already.

After the crowd dispersed, He Xufeng took the luggage, supported Lin Qingmei, and followed He Xu and He Qi off the boat.

He Xi hadn't been to his hometown for many years. Seeing the familiar yet unfamiliar scene in front of him, his eyes couldn't help but become slightly moist.

He 㫅 was also filled with emotion, and his steps became a little slow.

"Dad, do you want to go with us first or go to Nancheng County to visit grandma?" He Xufeng looked at He Xu. If they lived in their hometown, he would have to arrange for someone to take them there.

He Xufeng's hometown is in the suburbs of Nancheng County, and it takes nearly an hour to walk there from Nanfeng Park. He Xufeng is fine, but He Xufeng has been pampered for so many years, and she can't walk that long.

"I'm going to stay with you for a few days. I'm curious about what kind of place Linjia Bay is to raise such a good girl like Qingmei." He Li shook her head desperately when she heard that they were going to return to her hometown. She didn't want to face her mother-in-law.

Her mother-in-law generally looked down on her, and she didn't want to suffer for it.

"Okay, let's go stay at Qingmei's house for two days first. I'll go there again after meeting Qingmei's elders." He Yu also knew about the grudge between He Xi and his mother, so he didn't force his wife to go with him.

"Qingmei, I'm going to go to the office to check out the situation first. You guys wait at the dock for a while. I'll make a phone call and ask Grandpa Lin to drive the fishing boat over to pick you up." He Xufeng looked at Lin Qingmei with an apologetic face. It was rare for his parents to come over and he didn't have time to accompany them, yet he still wanted her to help take care of his parents.

"Well, then remember to come early for dinner."

Looking at He Xufeng's receding back, Lin Qingmei turned to He Xu and He Qi and said, "Dad, Mom, let's go to the shade over there and rest for a while."

"That's fine."

The three of them walked to the side under the shade of a tree and waited. It was still January in the lunar calendar, and the temperature in Nancheng County was already over ten degrees Celsius, not much different from the temperature in South Island.

Soon, a fishing boat came slowly, and at the bow stood an energetic old man, it was Uncle Lin.

"Qingmei, you're finally here. Are these two your parents-in-law?" Grandpa Lin pointed at He Hao and He Xi and asked Lin Qingmei.

"Well, Dad, Mom, let me introduce you. This is my grandpa. Everyone in the village calls him Grandpa Lin. Grandpa, these two are my father-in-law and mother-in-law. They plan to stay in Linjia Bay for a few days."

"We will call you Uncle from now on. You are really in good health." He Yu greeted Uncle Lin warmly. He was full of respect for the old man in front of him.

The old man in front of me is tall and a little thin, but he is in good spirits and always has a amiable smile on his face.

Grandpa Lin smiled cheerfully, "Welcome, welcome, come on board."

Everyone got on the boat, and Grandpa Lin rowed the boat while telling He and He Ji interesting stories about Linjia Bay. Lin Qingmei sat quietly at the bow, occasionally talking to He Ji.

Soon, the boat arrived at Linjia Bay Pier. When many people in the village saw Lin Qingmei coming, they surrounded her enthusiastically.

Everyone looked at He Xu and He Qi curiously, as they didn't know that Lin Qingmei and He Xufeng were married.

"Okay, everyone stop standing around and watch. Let Qingmei take her parents-in-law to go!" Before Lin Qingmei could speak, Grandpa Lin started to chase people away.

Qingmei is a newlywed girl, and she must feel embarrassed to be surrounded by so many people staring at her.
