Chapter 21: Marriage Announcement

"Wife, please open the door. I really don't know them. You have to believe me." Gu Mingze knocked on the door helplessly to explain.

But the person in the room pretended not to hear anything. He drew the curtains, changed into comfortable clothes, sat on the bed, and crunched some glutinous rice noodles.

Gu Mingze listened to what was happening in the room and said, "Are you still going to the cafeteria with me?"

"No." Lu Qingyan said angrily, ate a few more glutinous rice sticks, a piece of egg cake, drank a big sip of water, and went to bed.

"Wife, then you should eat less. I'll go to the canteen to get some food and eat it later." Gu Mingze heard that there was still no movement in the room, shook his head, and walked to the canteen with two lunch boxes.

"Captain Gu, are you going to the cafeteria? I'm going there too, let's go together." Lin Yingying came back for lunch at noon and happened to run into Gu Mingze on the way. When she saw him holding a lunch box, she immediately turned around and said,

Gu Mingze looked at the figure approaching and hurriedly quickened his pace to the cafeteria, ignoring the woman shouting behind him.

Lin Yingying looked at the unromantic man who didn't wait for her, stamped her feet, turned around and went home to eat, hoping to finish eating quickly so that she could maybe go to work with Captain Gu.

She had originally planned to give up on Gu Mingze, but then she thought about it. Not only was Gu Mingze the youngest battalion commander in the military region, he was also handsome and treated his wife well. If she had a man like this as her husband, wouldn't she be very happy?

Thinking of this, his mind came alive again, and he decided to seize every opportunity to have private contact with Gu Mingze in the future. What if he succeeded?

If Gu Mingze knew what Lin Yingying was thinking, he would definitely roll his eyes at her, because his body and soul belonged to his wife, and he would never let anyone touch them.

"Captain Gu, are you here to get food?" Jiang Mi was sitting on the side eating with her comrades. She originally didn't want to leave, but her comrades kept pushing her away. She had no choice but to come over and greet them with a red face.

Gu Mingze pretended not to hear her and didn't even look at the woman. He walked directly to the window and ordered an egg and a persimmon, a stir-fried vegetable, a box of rice, and three steamed buns. After paying the bill, he turned around and walked back.

"Captain Gu, I have a place here, please sit here and eat." A company commander nearby looked at his captain holding a lunch box and shouted.

"No need, your sister-in-law is still waiting for me to go back home for dinner." Gu Mingze said loudly with a smile

As soon as the words fell, the entire cafeteria fell silent, and then all kinds of discussions began.

Most of the people eating in the cafeteria didn't know that Gu Mingze was married. Even those in the art troupe didn't know. When they heard Gu Mingze's words, they were all shocked, but then they all looked at Jiang Mi.

You know, Jiang Mi swore in front of them last year that she would marry Captain Gu. So what's going on now? Why would Captain Gu marry someone else?

The company commander who had just called out had heard that his battalion commander was married, so he nodded and said, "Then the battalion commander, please bring your sister-in-law out to meet us one day. I heard from Zhang Maolin that your sister-in-law is very beautiful."

"Okay, I'll set up two tables and treat you guys to a meal some other day. Just think of it as my banquet." After saying this, Gu Mingze raised the lunch box in his hand and strode out

Jiang Mi watched the cruel man walk out the door, and hurriedly ran out after him, shouting: "Captain Gu, wait a minute, I have something to say."

When Gu Mingze heard the voice, he frowned slightly and continued walking forward without stopping.

"Gu Mingze, I have waited for you for two years, but now you have married another woman. I don't hate you, but I hate the woman you married..."
