Chapter 8 Gone

The next day, before dawn, Lu Qingyan was woken up by her mother. She dazedly took the things her mother gave her and went to the village entrance to wait for someone.

When Gu Mingze came over, he saw his wife sleeping with her back against a tree. He was so frightened that he ran over and called out softly, "Wife, wife."

Lu Qingyan opened her eyes, handed over the things in her hand and said, "You are finally here. This is the dry food my mother prepared for you."

Gu Mingze took the dry food and said with a smile: "Then you should go back and rest. I will leave now."

"Well, are you taking our things with you?" Lu Qingyan nodded, looking at what Gu Mingze was carrying on his back and holding in his hands and asked

"Well, take everything you need. We don't have anything left for you." Gu Mingze put down the things in his hand, hugged the person and kissed him, reluctantly saying: "I will apply for it when I get back. You wait for me to write to you at home."

Lu Qingyan leaned in her man's arms and nodded, "Okay."

"I'll take you back and then I'll leave. Otherwise it will be too late." Gu Mingze said while carrying his things.

"No need, go ahead." Lu Qingyan shook her head and refused

"Okay, I'll go first." Gu Mingze also knew that this was where his wife had lived since she was a child, so nothing would go wrong. After saying that, he looked at his wife deeply and walked away quickly.

Lu Qingyan looked at the disappeared person, blinked, turned around and went home.

Mother Lu looked at her daughter who had returned and asked, "Is Mingze gone?"

Lu Qingyan rubbed her stomach that was growling with hunger, pursed her lips and said, "Let's go, Mom, is there anything to eat? I'm hungry."

"Dinner will be ready soon." Mother Lu looked at her daughter who was still the same as when she was little, shook her head and went to the kitchen.

Lu Qingyan looked at her mother and shook her head, not understanding what was going on. Then she saw her eldest nephew and second nephew coming out rubbing their eyes. She walked up to rub the heads of the two children and asked in a low voice: "Where are your second aunt and third aunt?"

"Aunt, our family has split up, and my second uncle and my younger uncle have all moved away." Lu Zixing, also known as Gangzi, also whispered

"What day did it happen?" Lu Qingyan asked in surprise.

No wonder she only saw her second and third brothers yesterday but not her two sisters-in-law. It turned out that the family had split up and they didn’t come.

"The day before yesterday, grandma was really angry. She lost her temper." Six-year-old Lu Zixing, with his little mouth chattering, recited everything that happened the day before yesterday.

Lu Qingyan nodded, took out two pieces of candy from her pocket and handed them to her two nephews, asking them to eat them after they finished their meal.

The two children were very happy to get the candies. They put the candies in their pockets, patted them, and went to the main room.

Lu Qingyan looked at the people busy in the kitchen and felt particularly envious of the original owner for having such good parents.

Her parents in her previous life were not bad to her, but they were busy with company affairs all year round and had no time to take care of her. She was raised by a nanny since she was a child.

Mother Lu came out and saw her daughter standing there without moving and said, "What are you doing standing there like an idiot? Why don't you go wash your face and have a meal?"

"I'll go right away." Lu Qingyan said, quickly brushed her teeth and washed her face, then went to the main room and found a stool to sit down.

"Little sister, this is the rice porridge and eggs I made specially for you." Mrs. Lu walked in with a bowl and said

"Just this one bowl?" Lu Qingyan looked at the two large bowls of porridge and eggs in front of her, then saw the two nephews looking at her eagerly, and frowned and asked.

"There's more in the pot. If you don't have enough, I'll serve you more." Mrs. Lu looked at her frowning sister-in-law and said without getting angry.

"I can't finish all this, I thought you could give some to Shitou and the others. It's not like we can't afford it, don't be reluctant to give it to the children." Lu Qingyan shook her head and said

Mrs. Lu was stunned when she heard this, and then she didn't know whether to laugh or cry. Was she reluctant to feed it to her child?

She was afraid that if she served the food to the children, her sister-in-law would make a fuss again, so it would be better to wait until she finished eating before letting the children eat. But now, she was reluctant to give the food to the children.

Mother Lu glared at her old daughter, then looked at her daughter-in-law and said, "Don't pay attention to her, eldest daughter-in-law. Go and serve the porridge to the child and come back to eat."

Mrs. Lu knew her sister-in-law's temper and didn't take it to heart. After serving the porridge to the children, she sat down to eat.
