Chapter 9 Coaxing My Son

After breakfast, just as the two of them had some free time, the ward was pushed open.

The nurse brought two bags of medicine, told him how to take it, and then started to measure Chen Xingling's blood pressure and body temperature.

Just then, Ying came with little Huzi.

The little guy had never left his mother since he was a child, and he started crying the moment he woke up. He finally saw Chen Xingling, and immediately pounced on her like a ball of meat.

Gu Qi was quick to act and he grabbed his chubby son, picked him up and pressed him into his arms.

Little Tiger's eyes were filled with tears and snot: "Mom! Mom! I want Mom!"

Chen Xingling was measuring the blood pressure when he saw the cute, aggrieved and pitiful look of the little guy. He felt soft in his heart and took out a handkerchief from his pocket and threw it to Gu Qi.

"Quick! Help him wipe it, otherwise his face will get frozen."

The winter in Beijing is very cold, with temperatures often dropping to minus 10 degrees Celsius. Children's faces are more delicate, and they can get frostbitten if they are not careful.

Gu Qi had never taken care of a child before, so his movements were a little stiff and rough, and he wiped his son even more making him cry loudly.

Ying had been bothered by this brat for half the night, and today she had to get up early in the morning to make breakfast. She was unable to sleep until the sun rose like she used to. She was already full of rage, and when she saw him crying even harder, she immediately took the opportunity to lose her temper.

"Why are you crying?! Isn't your mother dead?! She's not dead, why are you crying so hard? This damn child is really making a fuss!"

Gu Qi frowned. The little guy in his arms struggled desperately, so he had to let go.

Little Tiger cried, "I don't want Daddy! I don't want Daddy!"

When Ying heard this, she exploded and shouted, "He is your father, how can you not want him? If he hadn't earned money to support you, how could you have grown up like this? You have no conscience!"

Gu Qi's face didn't look very good, and he analyzed the situation rationally with Lao Qi.

"Mom, the child is still young and his speech is incoherent. How can you argue with a child? He is just unfamiliar with me. When we get to know each other better, he will naturally be close to me."

Chen Xingling smiled and reminded: "The handkerchief is too dry. It will hurt when you wipe his face. Wet it with hot water and then help him wash his face."

Gu Qi nodded vaguely and took his son to wash his face.

Seeing that her son had to serve the older child and take care of the younger child, Ying felt very dissatisfied and turned her head to glare at Chen Xingling.

"You are fine, but you have to be hospitalized! You leave your son to me, and all the housework to me, and I have to ask Aqi to run around to take care of you - but you are so relaxed!"

Chen Xingling secretly suppressed his laughter, buried his head and whispered: "Mom, thank you for your hard work."

From now on - no, from yesterday on, you will have to work hard. Don't worry, you will continue to have to work hard in the future.

Ying was so choked by her word "hard work" that she didn't know how to continue being sarcastic. She became even angrier and rolled her eyes.

"It's almost the New Year's Eve, the attic on the second floor hasn't been cleaned yet, and the backyard hasn't been tidied up either. Do you know what to do?"

"Auntie, can you please leave first?" The nurse turned around and said unhappily, "This is a ward, not a market! How can I listen to your pulse when you are yelling so loudly?"

Ying's face turned red with embarrassment and she turned away angrily.

Chen Xingling almost laughed out loud and quickly hid his little face under the quilt.

The little tiger's face was finally wiped clean. He jumped over and came forward with a red nose, looking pitiful.

"Mom, this is our family! Huzi wants mom!"

Last night, his aunt told him that he no longer wanted his mother, but only his grandmother and Aunt Tiantian.

He was terrified. He didn't want his mom. He wanted to be with his mom!

Chen Xingling listened to his cute nasal voice and reached out to stroke his chubby face.

"Be good, Huzi. Mom and Dad will take you home soon."

The little fellow wore a tiger cat cap and stretched his chubby little hand out of his cotton-padded jacket with difficulty. He stood on his chubby feet to hold his mother's hand and pulled it tightly.

He looked warily at the strange "father" whom he had just met for the first time yesterday, and then leaned over to Chen Xingling's ear.

"I'll be good...I will be good. I don't want daddy and Auntie Tiantian, I only want mommy."

My aunt said that from now on, Dad will only be with Aunt Tiantian, and there will no longer be Mom.

He was afraid, very afraid of not having a mother.

Chen Xingling frowned and guessed it at once.

The baby was her own flesh and blood, and she had brought him up personally. He was only three years old now, and as innocent as a blank sheet of paper. He could only simply repeat what others said, and could not express his own thoughts objectively.

It seems that someone couldn't hold back last night.

She quietly took out a small box from behind the pillow, poured out a piece of rock candy, and stuffed it into the little tiger's mouth.

The little guy blinked his cute big eyes, then laughed in surprise and excitement.

"Tang~~It's Tang Tang~~"

Chen Xingling looked at him dancing with excitement and his cute appearance, and he started laughing too.

She pointed at Gu Qi and lowered her voice: "Huzi, Dad bought the candy. Dad said that he would buy lots of candy for Mom and Huzi in the future. He loves Mom and little Huzi the most."

The little guy turned his round head and looked at Gu Qi, his brows full of embarrassment.

Dad is handsome and tall, taller than my second uncle. But he looks so fierce!

Besides, he only wants Aunt Tiantian, not his mother. In this way, he will have no candy to eat.

Chen Xingling added: "Dad has a lot of delicious candies. Not only candies, but also maltose and candied haws, crispy and fragrant biscuits and rice cakes."

Xiao Huzi was completely moved and swallowed.

Chen Xingling gently stroked his little head and whispered, "Mom will take you to live with Dad from now on. No Aunt Tiantian, no Grandma, and no aunts. It's just us and Dad. Then all the delicious food will belong to you, okay?"

"Okay!" The little guy agreed crisply.

Chen Xingling pushed him and said softly, "Go, stay with Dad."

The child had a very simple mind and his attention was quickly diverted. He had long forgotten the troubles that were bothering him. He jumped over and hugged Gu Qi's thighs.

"Dad! I want Tangtang!"

Gu Qi was a little overwhelmed when his son took the initiative to get close to him for the first time. Looking at the eyebrows and eyes that looked very similar to his own, he suddenly felt a strange and strange feeling in his heart, which was subtle and warm.

The next moment, he picked up his son.

"When mom gets better, I'll take you to buy some candy."

Little Tiger cheered immediately, his eyes curved with smiles.

Gu Qi subconsciously looked at Chen Xingling lying on the hospital bed and found that she was also smiling with her eyes curved. He guessed that she was the one who was teaching her son to be close to her, and he felt a little sweet in his heart.

At this time, the nurse held out her hand to Chen Xingling: "Okay, the thermometer."

Chen Xingling hurriedly took out the armpit thermometer and carefully handed it to the nurse.

The nurse squinted her eyes and said in a stereotyped way, "36 degrees, no fever."

At the side, Ying asked hurriedly, "She's fine now that she doesn't have a fever, right? Nurse, she can definitely be discharged from the hospital, right? She's been lying in bed for more than a day!"

The nurse shook her head: "You have to ask the doctor whether you can be discharged. I am only responsible for doing my job."

After hearing this, Ying pulled the doctor who was making rounds and told him that Chen Xingling must be discharged from the hospital today.
