Chapter 23 He Hasn't Touched Jiang Mingxin Yet

Jiang Ming thought to himself that this was not good.

It would have been fine if Professor Zhang hadn't mentioned it. But now that he did, wouldn't Tan Jianhua and the others hate her even more?

The villain is always worried. If he can wake up after a few words of advice, he will not do such a thing.

But Jiang Mingxin was not too worried. He believed that if the enemy came, he would be fought back with his soldiers, and if the water came, he would be blocked with earth. A greedy villain like Tan Jianhua was the easiest to deal with in the original text. He was greedy for money, selfish, but also bullied the weak and feared the strong.

Lin Juan escorted her out and reminded her, "Be careful recently and don't run around. Tan Jianhua might take revenge on you. And Yan Laoer's wife will probably look for you after her five-day detention."

Jiang Mingxin nodded, a smile on his lips: "Don't worry, I know what I'm doing. If it doesn't work out, I'll go to the Public Security Bureau and sleep on the floor in your office!"

Lin Juan admired her perseverance and optimism. "Why don't you come live with me? My mom always says I'm not home. Who knows how happy she would be if you came?"

"Let's talk about it later. I'll go back first." Jiang Mingxin didn't want to trouble others unless it was absolutely necessary.

As soon as she walked out of the Public Security Bureau, she ran into Gu Mingfeng head-on.

"I heard something happened in Jiangjiatun again?" Gu Mingfeng looked her up and down several times. "Are you okay?"

Jiang Mingxin glanced at him suspiciously, "What could possibly happen to me? Uncle Bai led the team to capture the person, it has nothing to do with me, and I'm leaving now."

"Wait, why are you running? I have something serious to ask you!" Gu Mingfeng finally learned his lesson and knew that he should get straight to the point when he met someone and not talk about useless things.

Jiang Mingxin took two steps back cautiously, "What serious business can you have?"

Gu Mingfeng was choked by her words and felt a pain in his chest. "Of course! Let me ask you, how did you find out that Jiang Dawei was colluding with tomb robbers? Besides Jiangjiatun, which other villages did they operate in? Why did they give the cultural relics they dug up to Jiang Dawei to hide? They were a gang, don't they have a special place to hide things?"

Jiang Mingxin's eyes turned a little surprised. "Why do you care about these things?"

"Don't worry about it, just tell me. Also, tell me everything you know about Yan Lao Er, no matter how big or small it is!"

Gu Mingfeng looked so anxious that Jiang Mingxin felt even more suspicious.

"I know, I've already told Director Bai."

"Impossible, there must be some details you haven't told me... Why did Yan Lao Er appear at your house, and why was he injured? Did you accidentally learn of their secret?"

In order to protect Jiang Mingxin's reputation, Director Bai refused to say anything about the cause of Yan Laoer's injury. However, if Gu Mingfeng had been more careful and used his brain, he would have been able to guess a general idea from the words and actions of the villagers that night.

But he simply ignored them, his thoughts wandering further and further in another direction.

Jiang Mingxin disdains to communicate with fools.

But Gu Mingfeng's confident look made her want to mock him.

"Guess why only the second son of Yan Lao Er was injured and not other parts of his body? And guess again, why did his wife insist on coming to me for revenge?"

Jiang Mingxin nodded his head with her index finger and said, "I'll ask Auntie to make you some brains later, okay."

After saying that, he walked away with a sympathetic look on his face.

Gu Mingfeng reached out and touched his hair. Was she trying to show her affection to him?

It took him half a second to realize that Jiang Mingxin was scolding him for being brainless.

Damn girl, you are becoming more and more lawless!

But the two sentences that Jiang Mingxin reminded him of kept fermenting in his mind, and the irony became increasingly stronger.

At first, he did not associate Yan Laoer's injury with Jiang Mingxin at all, and he wondered if there was a third person there at the time, or if Jiang Dawei had fought with Yan Laoer over the division of the spoils and accidentally scratched him.

It wasn't until he recalled the clothes Jiang Mingxin wore that night and the villagers' indignant attitude that his head suddenly buzzed and exploded into pieces.

It was Jiang Mingxin, she was the one who cut Yan Laoer!

But why did she do that?

A voice in his head mocked him furiously, "What else could it be? When would a woman fight back desperately? You can't even think of that?"

Gu Mingfeng was so shocked that the blood rushed back to his body.

Jiang Mingxin was almost raped?

The woman he liked was almost raped by a fat and big-eared tomb robber?

This fact was like a missile, blowing him to pieces in an instant.

Not only did he feel angry, but he also felt that his dignity as a man was challenged.

He hasn't touched Jiang Mingxin yet, how dare that man!

Gu Mingfeng felt extremely humiliated. His face turned pale in an instant, his eyes were bloodshot, and a raging fire burned in his head, as if it wanted to burn everything.

"Yan Lao Er, I'm going to kill you!"

However, after entering the Public Security Bureau, he calmed down strangely.

"No, I can't let him off so easily. I have to catch this gang of tomb robbers in one fell swoop. I have to bring Yan Lao Er to justice! Only then can I truly avenge Ming Xin. Yes... this is what a mature man should do."

Gu Mingfeng quickly convinced himself and walked towards Director Bai's office with determination.

He decided to apply to join the temporary investigation team and help the county public security bureau solve the case for free. More importantly, he could get first-hand information, win Dong Ge's trust, and successfully break into the circle of the children of the wealthy families in the city.

As for Jiang Mingxin, he will find an opportunity to compensate her.

“A-choo——”

Jiang Mingxin had just sat down at the Hanhong Noodle House and ordered a bowl of three-fresh noodles when he sneezed loudly.

After a while, her stewed noodles were ready and served by the boss's wife.
