Chapter 9: Husband, they teased me!

Bai Ruoxi was stunned.

She didn't expect that her good intentions would lead to her being blackmailed by Jiang Mingxin.

"I, I... I was trying to help you out of kindness... How could you..." She stared at Director Bai helplessly, hesitating, not knowing what to do.

Tears fell down, and she turned her head and threw herself into Gu Mingfeng's arms, "Wuwu Mingfeng brother, she bullied me~"

Gu Mingfeng's heart was broken by her crying. He glared at Jiang Mingxin fiercely and said, "What can you say to her? You are an ungrateful country girl. You deserve to be ignored."

As soon as these words were spoken, all the villagers present became angry.

"You look like a decent person, but why don't you speak like a human being?" The village chief was the first to point at his nose and curse, "Do you know what Mingxin has been through? How can you say that to her? That beast Jiang Dawei deserves it by going to jail. He treated such a good girl like this. He is not a human being!"

"It's better to have no father than to have one. If Jiang Dawei doesn't go to jail, Mingxin will be pitiful!"

"That's right, what's wrong with a country girl? Mingxin is so beautiful, all the bachelors in the surrounding villages are vying to marry her!"

Seeing that the villagers were filled with righteous indignation and wanted to rush up and beat up Gu Mingfeng, Director Bai hurriedly pulled him and Bai Ruoxi away.

Jiang Mingxin raised his foot and caught up.

"Director Bai, you said you would take me to the county town for an injury assessment."

"Oh, yes, then you're coming with me now?" He glanced at Bai Ruoxi awkwardly and lowered his voice, "Ruoxi doesn't know that you and Mingfeng had a past. How about I send someone to pick you up tomorrow?"

Jiang Mingxin agreed.

After working all day, she was too tired to do any more.

But she couldn't sleep at the Jiang family's, so she had to bother the village chief and stay at his house for one night.

The next day, Jiang Mingxin got up early and made a big pot of spicy soup for the village chief's family. Then he went home, took out his ID card and household registration book, and stuffed a few clothes into his canvas backpack, and walked to the county town.

She wanted to sell her Ming Xuande blue and white brush washer and rent a house in the county town.

In her previous life, she was forced to drop out of school right after graduating from junior high school in order to cultivate her supernatural powers. She taught herself high school courses at home, but she had no idea what level she had reached, so she had to settle down as soon as possible and make the most of the time to make up for the missed lessons.

Jiang Mingxin was a fast runner and arrived at the City God Temple at nine in the morning.

She spent ten cents to buy a few steamed buns, and spent three cents to call the county public security bureau at the convenience store, asking the police officer to tell Director Bai that there was no need to send a car to pick her up, and that she would go to the hospital herself after she finished her business.

The Chenghuang Temple is the most prosperous area in the county. Next to it is an antique street where many old men and women sell breakfast. There are also some young people pushing 28-inch bicycles with an open box on top as a shelf, selling sunglasses, hairbands, cigarettes and other things...

Jiang Mingxin picked out a pair of frog-eye glasses and put them on. It was obvious that they were counterfeit, but they still cost 1.8 yuan.

She put her hands behind her back and strolled slowly towards the antique street. When no one was paying attention, she drew a talisman to open her third eye, and a pair of luxurious golden patterns instantly appeared on her black pupil.

It looks like a lotus pattern and also like a burning flame.

However, until she arrived at the center of the antique street, she still did not see any red frame, numbers or words.

It seems that this place outside the city is not very good. There is not even a single decent antique in such a big antique street.

Either they are unsold goods or new goods, or they are from very recent times, not even from the Ming or Qing dynasties.

At first glance, the stalls are filled with inferior vases, bronzes, snuff bottles, jades, bracelets, etc., as well as some modern imitations with ridiculous shapes that look neither fish nor fowl.

I walked in for a long time and finally found a legitimate antique shop with a double-door facade and a wooden plaque that read: Zhenbaozhai.

Out of ten antique shops, eight of them have this name.

Seeing that there were not many customers inside, Jiang Mingxin put away his sunglasses and walked in with the mentality of giving it a try.

Looking around, there are a few pieces of porcelain from the Republic of China, and a lot of state-owned 567 porcelain, and the rest are all imitations.

Even tomb robbers who want to sell stolen goods would not come to this shop. There is not even a treasure that is the store's treasure. This shows that the owner himself is not well-off and cannot afford the "raw treasure" in their hands.

Jiang Mingxin sighed secretly. She took out the pen washer. Could the shopkeeper here tell the value of the product?

While he was hesitating, two thugs walked in from outside with a scoundrel look on their faces, throwing a few strings of copper coins in their hands and smoking cigarettes.

One of them looked Jiang Mingxin up and down, and said in a surprised tone: "Hey, this girl is really impressive."

"Girl, are you here to sell a family heirloom? I'm familiar with this business. I can help you get a good price. How about you go out with me for a night?"

Jiang Mingxin frowned and took a step back.

The thug immediately laughed maliciously and reached out to pull her pigtails, "Don't be so shy."

The other blocked the door with ease.

Jiang Mingxin's anger was instantly ignited. These two men looked to be only in their early eighteens, at the prime of their lives and striving hard, yet they were actually molesting women here?

What’s even more ridiculous is that the shopkeeper just watched coldly without any intention of stopping it.

Could it be that they are in cahoots with the shopkeeper?

Jiang Mingxin didn't say anything and kicked the man in the crotch.

“Ouch—”

A shrill scream pierced the sky.

The next second, she swung her canvas backpack and smashed it at the head of the gangster behind her. Then she remembered that the blue and white porcelain brush washer was still inside, so she slammed on the brakes and grabbed the backpack back.

The gangster was startled and immediately took out a slashing knife from his pocket and threw it up and down arrogantly.
