Chapter 8 How I Want to Have My Own Private Bathroom

Perhaps feeling the weight, Jian Xiaoxing smacked his lips, wiped his mouth with his hand, turned over, and lay on his side, his sleeping face facing Chen Ze.

Jian Xiaoxing was sleeping soundly, with her long and thick eyelashes lying motionless. A small strand of hair fell down and rested on the edge of her rosy lips, adding a touch of playful sexiness.

Shen Ze realized that he was distracted, quickly retracted his gaze, and went back to reading.

Today's books seem to be under a spell, becoming obscure and difficult to understand.

Chen Ze thought, after all, she was a secret fiancée and could not be treated like an ordinary subordinate. Thinking of this, he felt a little relieved.

But when he thought of his mother's sudden change, his heart was like the receding tide, revealing a sharp rocky beach.

His father was in a mine accident while saving someone and always regarded him as a hero. Faced with his depressed mother, he devoted himself to work and tried hard to maintain peace, just to make his mother regard him as a strong backing and cheer up.

But when his mother regained her spirits and the invisible burden on his shoulders was eased, another indescribable sorrow came over him.

He hadn't dared to think about the details of his father's death before, but now, the accident report, which he had only read once, was drilling into his mind line by line.

He buried his face in his hands with light calluses, and salty tears flowed from between his fingers.

A quarter of an hour later, he raised his head again, and his body felt as if a heavy burden had been unloaded, and he felt extremely relaxed.

In the evening, Jian Xiaoxing suddenly woke up. Her big eyes rolled around for a long time, taking in the layout of the room. It took her a long time to recover and confirm that she was still in Shen Ze's room.

Chen Ze was nowhere to be seen, probably having gone out. On the desk he had used, a row of books were neatly arranged.

Jian Xiaoxing looked at her watch and found that it was already past four o'clock. Perhaps because she didn't sleep well last night, she slept a little too long.

She hurriedly stood up, and a men's light green military shirt slipped off her body.

Thinking of the temperament of the owner of the clothes, Jian Xiaoxing folded the clothes neatly and placed them on the pillow.

When I went out, I found Shen's mother chopping meat filling, probably to make dumplings.

I looked around but didn't see Shen Ze.

"Auntie, Chen Ze is gone?" Jian Xiaoxing approached Chen Xiulian and asked with some confusion.

"He left early. He received a call from the factory saying that there was something that needed his attention. He is always like this. Every time he comes back, he can't even sit still." Chen Xiu Lian answered loudly with a smile.

Chen Ze was responsible and was afraid that he would not be able to find anyone if something happened at the factory, so he installed a telephone at home not long ago. The initial installation cost 1,500 yuan, and the factory reimbursed half of it.

"How can I help?"

"No need, just sit there and chat with me for a while."

The stuffing is almost chopped, and now it’s time to roll out the wrappers and make the dumplings.

Jian Xiaoxing sat on a wooden chair nearby and chatted with Chen Xiulian.

Chen Xiulian excitedly told Jian Xiaoxing about the projects she was investigating, such as setting up a street stall, opening a restaurant, and opening a convenience store. She thought all of them were good.

Jian Xiaoxing agrees with this point. In this era, as long as you are brave and have enough capital, you can make more money doing anything than working.

However, many people still cling to the idea of a stable job, and not many people agree with the precarious nature of small businesses.

"Aunt, the ones you mentioned are all good. Considering your current conditions, if you have enough capital, it would be a good idea to open a restaurant. You cook well." Jian Xiaoxing analyzed.

"It's just like what I thought. If I open a dumpling restaurant and serve home-cooked dishes, there will definitely be a lot of people coming."

Obviously Chen Xiulian also had this plan.

"If you need any help, just tell me. You know my office number. When the restaurant opens, I'll help you advertise it."

"That's great. Come and help me taste it. And write me a note with your office number. My memory is getting worse and worse."

The two chatted for a while about opening a restaurant and got along very well.

"Xiaoxing, I think your relationship with Zeze is still not close enough. He is a blockhead. You should be more proactive. A woman should still find a man to rely on. You can rely more on Zeze in the future." Chen Xiulian changed the subject and mentioned Chen Ze.

Jian Xiaoxing's face darkened. Why did Mother Shen say the same thing as her own mother?

Her mother was clearly heartbroken by a man, and clearly could have run a successful business and lived a comfortable life, but she still wanted to rely on a man.

She was only 26 years old, but her mother was forcing her to go on blind dates as if she was afraid that she would not be able to get married.

She runs a medium-sized decoration company and has a small business. The man she went on a blind date with doesn't earn as much as him. What's more, he always stares at the waitress's butt, which is really a scumbag.

Anyway, she doesn't have that much desire for men.

She really wanted to refute Mother Shen, but in view of her current status, she didn't say it in the end. She just said that it was dark and the road was difficult to walk, so she had to go back to the factory early.

Chen Xiulian saw her quickly leave the kitchen, pushed her bicycle, and chased her to the door.

"Kid, why are you leaving right now? It's not too late to leave after eating dumplings! Today's filling is mushroom and meat, delicious!"

Jian Xiaoxing paused, as if the aroma of dumplings had already penetrated her nose. She swallowed her saliva and said, "No, Auntie, I'll come back to eat it next time."

This time when getting along with Shen's mother, Jian Xiaoxing felt that he was becoming more and more familiar with her, as if he had been with her for a long time.

It took Jian Xiaoxing forty minutes to ride back to the factory after a bumpy ride from the family quarters.

When she returned to the four-person dormitory, she realized that there was no place that completely belonged to her.

How she wanted to have her own house and a private bathroom.

At this moment, no one else in the dormitory was there, and she could enjoy a moment of peace.

She took out her old high school textbooks from her cloth bag and looked at them. The textbooks were old textbooks from the 1970s. She found them at home and found that the original owner had used them a few years ago.

She should ask Jian Xia to find her textbook, hers is the latest one.

Jian Xia didn't come back all night, probably because she slept at home.

The next day, Jian Xiaoxing started his work by cleaning up Shen Ze's office.

Surprisingly, Director Xue rearranged the work of checking drinking in the dormitories, requiring two people to form a group, with each group responsible for two buildings.

Jian Xiaoxing and another colleague were responsible for buildings four and five, but that colleague firmly stated that she was in charge of building four.

Well, things are back to square one.

At twelve o'clock in the evening, the night shift workers go to work and the mid-shift workers return to the dormitory.

What Jian Xiaoxing wanted to check was whether the people who got off work at this time went to bed well after returning home.

After a quick shower in the bathhouse, the obedient and honest workers can lie down on the bed in half an hour.

The other buildings were quiet, but Building 5 was still brightly lit and as noisy as usual.

Jian Xiaoxing was walking alone in the corridor, and the metal flashlight he was holding was completely useless.

"Stop arguing, turn off the lights and go to bed."

Jian Xiaoxing checked each dormitory one by one and gave a reminder.

When she was in college, she hated the dormitory teacher the most. Unexpectedly, now she has become the person she hates.
